Well it will never be like the normal ICE Abarth with the exhaust pops and crackles but it's still a cool car in EV form. Let's face it the EVs are what we are going to be stuck with. The days of powerful gasoline engines with great exhaust notes and manual transmissions are gone!😕
I have the same thoughts, I have a 500 abarth but I’d love to have one of these in the driveway next to it. I believe abarth will be able too show people EVs can be cool
After driving a couple of EVs i really couldn't care less about the lack of noise, the silence is miles better that even the most beautiful engine noise. And i own a cabrio 595 with Record Monza on it. The electric motors are honestly what the Abarth needs. The base 500 EV is already quick and nippy, imagine that with double the horsepower. I guarantee you there's nothing to "be stuck" with.
@@mcnuggetapple Well I hear that Fiat is actually going to bring the 500e to the states. However I am not sure it will include the Abarth. I hope Fiat does what it needs to do to make the 500e a success this time around in the States. Meaning that it better be priced reasonable not 35 to 40k. But even more important it needs to have a decent range.
@@bh2155 it seems like we are going to be getting the 199 mile range model, I would expect the abarth model to be around 35-40 since EVs are typically more expensive for no good reason sadly
These is a normal 500 electric with acid green colour. Nothing more...i hope they decide to do real electric car with also performance of sport racing car otherwise they close soon.
If I had never owned a 500e I would agree with you, it was unbelievably fun . Trust me, I’m an extreme ev hater but I liked it about as much as my abarth
