The NX is a gaping maw. I deliberately bought the year I bought just to avoid the maw as it was coming in. I like the RX much better as a return to a more refined grill area.
@@Kenny-bj2zq Nah, it's back to some normalcy. I was never a fan of the oversized hourglass shaped grill. The RX grill also looks better from the side.
@@Kenny-bj2zq … That’s not true dude! I am 6ft and I fit fine, (front and back). I did a test drive the other day. Are you extremely tall? 🤔 Have you tried the NX?
I love the GSF! That is a great vehicle! I hope you keep it for a long time! I totally get where you're coming from on the grill. It took me a while to get used to it, but now it's grown on me a lot!
Why is Lexus still putting incandescent turn signals on a luxury vehicle in 2023? It's very disappointing because even a base Civic comes with full LED headlights.
THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE 2 VEHICLES ARE PRICE, BOTH GREAT VEHICLES, IT DEPENDS ON how much you want to spend, the RX does have more room, a little stiffer ride, worse gas mileage, If you can afford an RX get that one, if not the NX will suit you just fine.
............NX is Much nicer looking 450h+ "F"F sport with Red calipers...Carbon fiber interior in all places that Piano black was....More Power 0-60 5.5 (road and track)C Do Not ned Gas for 49 miles and change the BAD tires / Rub Flats to Michelin's...YOUR GOLD!!!!
No..............the NX "F" Sport 450h+ has ADAPTIVE Suspension & Non Turbo naturally aspirated motor/ICE....The grill on the NX 450h+ is much nicer I also have the Atomic Silver...NOTICE the Lines / front Grill and the Black functional air intakes...Notice how the LINE are symmetrical with sharp Lines forming "V"'s in Silver and Black / contrast....to complement tht V's / Z/'s of the Lexus Day time running lights......I believe you Might agree just Nice style IMO Additionally the Grill on the 450h+ F Sport has diamond gloss black inserts as do the air intakes....the new RX grill looks to me Plasticieeee, as it travels down from hoof / Not as Clean...The F Sport also has Black Chrome W Gloss Black spoke mags against the silver....My car has RED Calipers and All Red "F" Sport badges W/ all carbon Fiber interior where there was gloss black!....Jus a thought!
I bought Lexus 2023 RX 350 BASE/350 PREMIUM AWD 3 weeks ago . But I unhappy because it spent a lot gas 17 miles a gallon, while Lexus paper says 21 in city and 28 freeway....I complainted to dealer and they loked my Lexus yesterday. After waited 2 hours , they said nothing happen...however I tried to asked them I drove 175 mile and filled gas 10 gallons at Costco.....They never have right answer to me. Anyone has any idea , please help me and give me idea why. Thank you so much.
YOU ARE INCORRECT SIR, THE NX GRILLE LOOKS MUCH BETTER, THE NOSE CAP ON THE RX LOOKS OUT OF PLACE ON THE RX, SNUB NOSE, NOT A GREAT LOOK, THE OLDER NXs HAD A BETTER DESIGN, VERY ORIGAMI SHARP LINES, THE NEW ONE LOOKS LIKE ALL THE OTHER SUVs. We own a 2016 NX 200T, an excellent vehicle, we have 6,900 miles on it, it is assembled perfectly, it was made in JAPAN, white pearl, the TURBO engine is awesome, can't say enough for it. JUST LOVE IT.
Yes I could for sure see that! Especially the front grill of the Fsport RX. I even like the 2019 RX Fsport where there was an extra lip at the bottom of the front bumper!
Friend has the 2022NX. He’s larger (5’9” and 275 lbs). Has to do the “limbo rock” to get into it. If you’re a larger type, definitely go for the RX. The only complaint I have with my NX is the lack of a spare tire! Run flat tires comprise ride, quite and handling, and may even dictate a tow to a tire store if the tire is badly damaged.
i bought a turbo charge Lexus NX. LOVE THE GRECIAN BLUE.. I didn't want to wait for the hybrids and there like 10k or more compared to the standard ones.. This is most likely going to be my last car im going to own that take gas only. I think eventually hybrids and battery operated vehicles are going to more common , affordable and more available in the near future.
The NX looks fine, the RX looks horrendous though. The outgoing RX was simply beautiful, sharp lines in all the right places. This new model is a big step backwards and it STILL has the outdated V6 engine instead of a turbo. I guess the V6 is better for long-term reliability but Lexus needs turbo engines to compete with the Germans.
Those blacked-out rims/wheels are aesthetically hideous! Vehicles with blacked-out rims are for racing and off-roading adventures (in my opinion), where dirt and mud are heavily involved. Not a fan.
I hate the trend of the gigantic front ends. They are polarizing and look like cow catchers. The NX is on the same platform as the RAV 4 and Camrys. There are better choices in my humble opinion.
I got my 2023 NX two months ago and absolutely love it and roomy for my family. I don't really like the front grill on the RX, but I am sure it is a great vehicle as the Lexus brand is amazing. I find the RX is more of an old mans car and the NX is sportier looking and a nicer interior layout. You can't go wrong with either, I just prefer the NX.
@@PabloTheThinker I got the 250 because I don't turbo and the 350h was a 6 month-1 year wait. One thing I am not crazy about the 350h but could live with is that it has an electronic CVT. I had a Nissan Murano and currently have a Rogue which both have a CVT and just tired of the driving experience of the CVT. Both CVT have been reliable, just want to experience a normal transmission. One thing that I wish we had more with the 250 is to be able to get options. Not sure where you are from, but here in Canada you can't option a 250 but wasn't a deal breaker and I got a really good deal on it which is unheard of these days. Absolutely love my NX and recommend any Lexus model to anyone as they are a quality and amazing car company. All the best with your Lexus and I am sure you are going to love it.
@@dominicd2694 Cool! I got the 250 FWD. I debated between the 350h and the 250, but I don’t drive that much and it would take many years to break even with the price difference. I was able to find one with the 14” display and the color combination I wanted. But it took me a few months and I had to go to the state next to mine.
@@PabloTheThinker That is amazing, you will love it. Great that in the States you can add options, here in Canada you can only buy AWD, pick between white silver or black exterior colour and they have a standard package for the interior, we can't add options. It comes with everything I need, but would liked to add a few things. They are built here in Canada and I was pleased with the fit and finish. All the best, you will love it.
@@dominicd2694 Yeah, I have no need for turbo and the MPG isn't great. I test drove the 250 and 350h and honestly couldn't tell the different, although it was only around the city. I was looking for the head up display too, but I literally could only find two in the entire country with the color combination that I wanted, but I found one with the 14" display so I went with that instead. I'm in California but found the car in Nevada. I'm just hoping the delivery date estimated is accurate. The website says between June 3rd and July 3rd. I’m used to sports cars so this will be my first SUV/crossover, and I'm coming from a Mercedes and Porsche, so I am really looking for the reliability, low maintenance, and practicality.
Biggest mistake Lexus made was going the 'performance' route. Gone are their perfect smooth ride, silent cabin, even long term reliability, in their "relentless persuit" of sport and performance. That's why I will never buy another Lexus car.
Yeah, I am coming from toyota and am disappointed with the fake leather seats, the smaller and smaller interiors, bad mpg and higher and higher prices. I rather get the rav4 which looks great for a much cheaper price, is much bigger than the NX, better mpg etc.
The front view of the NX is awesome. It’s a constant “attention-getter” and makes the car look 2x more than it’s worth. The interior leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t feel luxury or special. The faux leather feels cheap, the upper dash looks no better than a Jeep and the sunroof looks like it’s 1979 all over again. Rides great except on rough roads, delicious steering and good turbo pep when needed.
@modmondays ~ yes the faux leather looks/feel cheap. I wanted a white interior but it doesn’t even compare to my SRX! Also, the ‘net’ isn’t functional. My SRX had a track with a steel bar that was functional and moveable. Other than that, the Rx has much better gas average than the Cadillac 👍🏽
I am coming from Toyota and I would have thought real leather seats would be standard for a Lexus, luxury brand and the huge bump in price even for a basic NX250. So I will just buy a rav4 bc you have to upgrade significantly to make the Lexus feel like a real luxury car. The NX is also way too small for an suv especially on the inside. I rather have the rav4 which is bigger and better mpg! Looks great too for the price! Lexus is really messing up their brand with their terrible design and overpriced upgraded features.
Yes.............Indeed the Black and Silver is a GREAT CONTRAST....& I Put a "RED" "F" Sport Badge "F" on the lower left corner on the black grill area 3" up and 4" inches over for contrast, "F" is RED 2".
This is a great question Larry! I find the actual noise level of the engine is the same as the V6, however just a bit higher pitched. I always loved the sound of the V6, so I too was a bit worried about this, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It for sure sounds like a 4 cylinder, but a higher output one if that makes sense? Also I've driven a few Toyota's with the similar powertrain and the Lexus is much quieter. I hope this helps!
That is a great idea for a video! According to Lexus the NX can do 2000lbs and the RX can do 3494, so if you are considering Lexus I'd say lean towards the RX for sure! I think the main difference for the rating is the fact the RX is a bit heavier and has bigger brakes as well! Anyway I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Hi Andy, that is a great question! So right now we actually have some inventory here and ready for sale on both RX and NX gas models! However some of the hybrid versions of these vehicles could take 2-6 months if you wanted to order!
🗣Why The Untied Shoe Laces? Usually Untied Shoe Laces Mean = "SHOES ARE COMING OFF"!! Or Maybe You Actually Did Have Your Shoes Off/On Your Socked Soles, When You Where Inside Both Lexus Car's To Make Sure The Interior Carpet Mats Where Kept 100% Clean?? Anyhow, A Great Video Non The Less!!! (And I'll Happily Massage Your Socked Soles Anytime You Want) lol
Actually, apparently you are ignorant or do Not have the NEW DQQR handles.....Soooooooooooooo Freak'n much nicer than old as they are effortless quiet and smooth!
The wait times have for sure been a topic of conversation for sure. HOWEVER I am noticing the production levels seem to be slowing catching up! Hopefully you can get one soon! I know occasionally we've had some available here at our dealership!
I would love to do a video on both Plug in Hybrids! We don't have an official launch here in Canada on the RX plugin but once we do I will definitely try to do a comparison!
This color is "Atomic Silver" It has been one of the favourites in the Lexus lineup for years! It has different characteristics depending on a sunny day versus cloudy, plus it's very easy to keep clean!
I honestly dislike the black wheels. Makes it look like there is a black hole. But like both the NX and RX. I do like the RX passenger dash better. The NX passenger dash is just plain black dash
I've noticed more black wheels coming into the lineup and packages as well! I did a video on a Blue IS 300 with light grey wheels and I forgot how nice they looked!
Yes you can do either a full Towing hitch with wiring, or a smaller "activity mount" for bike racks etc. However some of the higher packages don't offer these yet!
Do you think there is a significant difference between the FWD and AWD of the RX350? Is there a noticeable improvement in handling and acceleration? My city rarely gets snow, so is it still necessary to get the AWD version?
You can NEVER GO WRoNG, with AWD!!! Awd, is good for Rain, & “any kind” of slippery conditions ! Bottomline, you can never be OVERLY PROTECTED!! Better to be safe than sorry!!! Awd is great so that the car is equally balanced, I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR WITHOUT AWD!!!! 🏆🥇🥇🥇 NEVER!!
I wish I could help but I've actually never driven a FWD version! Here in Canada Lexus dealers are only able to offer the AWD versions! Let me know which you end up going with!
I do love the AWD for those aspects as well for sure! Also the AWD does calibrate itself to be more of a fwd biased until it needs to kick in full AWD! So it sort of is best of both worlds!
@@PerformanceLexusNiagara I am living in Texas... Most cars are FWD😂 AWD cars usually have premium plus or more packages… (usually MSRP $60k+ USD) I just want a AWD with base model... I am not sure if it is worth to add $6k+ for AWD.
I got the FWD and I don’t notice the difference driving in the city. When I go up to mountain and snow, it’s more about the tires and if it’s bad I have to use chains anyways.
I personally think the RX is more comfortable! The weight of the vehicle to me feels like a smoother ride! Also the seats are a bit bigger in my opinion!
These cars are huge! They dont fit a parking space. Must be horrible to park and not get doors bashed or bumpers bruised. I have the UX250h and its quite big enough.
@@macoy321 Thanx! That's what I meant - a diesel for comparison purpose in driving characteristics etc., since RX seems a bit more nimble car, but this model is not that much cheaper than an x5. Both brands have evolved their respective models so it's not that obvious to tell which one of them makes sense to buy new vs lease vs buy used one albeit an older model slightly.
🗣Yea, I Noticed That Also!! Maybe He Already Had His Shoes Off, When He Was Inside Both Lexus Car's, To Make Sure He Kept The Carpet Mat's Inside 100% Clean? Just A Thought!!
Spoken like a person who never owned a Lexus. Also Your Luxury rivals cost twice less in 3 years than a non-luxury Lexus, ever wondered why? Desirability, unlike German Luxury cars of modern.
@@jevgeniardassov 'never owned a Lexus' lol, idioto, I own a Lexus ! actually I owned mostly Lexus , i had ES350, RX350, LS430 and still a LS460L ! Thats why I can say all the new Lexus cars are overpriced wanna be luxury cars, Lexus does not make ANY luxury cars anymore, not even the LS500. The last luxury car they made is the LS600h, you utter clueless moronico
Definitely the RX would have the smoother airplane ride for sure! I'd recommend sticking to a Luxury or Executive package instead of Fsport if you want the Avalon style ride!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? " weird.....is up to the beholder However clearly makes a elegant statement on the NX.....Just look at the symmetry!...on the Silver NX!
