The people saying that a Mack is a Volvo are misinformed. Although part of the Volvo group, Mack manufactures its own parts and engines in house and has been doing so for more than 50 years. Unlike when freightliner bought western star and basically turned them into rebadged cascadias, Mack has been allowed to continue their own design and development independent of Volvo. The two brands do share some parts but they are entirely different trucks in most of their components. Also give this guy props. He just got a brand new truck and is making moves. Where’s your brand new truck ?
I love the look and design of it, but I hear too many disappointing bugs with electrical components that makes me afraid to ever own one. Hope you have better luck with yours than all the disappointed Anthem owners I've read discouraging reviews from
I've got 2014 mack pinnacle..I've parked it and now company driver..one thing I can tell you is my truck with 630k on it out pulls all these Cascadia, and a 760 Volvo I drove with same miles,.Cascadia are all 2021..Volvo was 2016..Mack have more torque and less problems with sensors off road and on..if your on dirt, recycle plants, farms mack is the way to go..MP8..Cascadia is a more comfortable truck by far..I love this Rig ,I would hate to be the one to work on it or pay mechanic in 200k more miles..all these new trucks are built to trade in at 450k...no more million mile trucks without selling your farm to fix it..That's if you find a decent mechanic...FYI, they all fall apart inside almost immediately..I'm finding plastic protector for cabinet locks inside drawers etc...
Lets see the exterior....is this gonna be a new trucking channel like JBG TRAVELS ??? If so I'll subscribe and check you out ....hopefully you keep this truck clean and well maintained
Seems this clip was uploaded @ 3months ago; Hows it treating you? Im not yet a trucker but debating getting a MackAnthem, a FreightlinerCascadia, or a Kenworth once i get my ClassA CDL.
I used to have all the trucks you mentioned + volvos. They all got different feel. Have 70000 km already, so far no problem. Like : very quiet and very powerful engine, smooth shifting, sitting on a road better than volvo. Dislike: smaller insides ( I have volvo780 before). Good luck with truck you getting.
Sorry, didn't respond sooner. Yes, can't say I don't like my new Mack. It's drives like a pickup, very quiet, everything else basically Volvo. But it's gonna take time to use smaller insides, I have volvo780 before. Buy extra warranty, price for this increase very fast. Good luck!
Nice truck you be lucky it wont be on the side of the road by 100,000 miles im old school trucks simple is a peace of mind. And i can fix it. Wish you well.
Don’t buy one. I’ve a 2019 they look nice but poor quality control. Cab curtains are poorly design, seat sits high, fridge is small, door locks broken in 1 year, window switch are to fragile, some electrical issues with lights, my purchase was base on it being my last truck I’m 63 and have owned many makes. Quality is in Volvo and Kenworth. Fuel mileage is high 9 at 65. I paid 135 new including FET. Your decision good luck I should have replaced my 780 with a 860 oh well your $$. 27 years as a O/O🇺🇸A concern Veteran.
They all got issues, driving them all since 97. My 780 Volvo got stolen, got Mack and trying to be happy. Wish you the same. Now in Canada you can buy what available, volvo and others 2 years waiting list, mack delivered to me in 8 months.
