So how do u get paid. There was no option for direct deposit

@@chazy6782 idk if it’s the same every where but check your cuny first student center and go through the tabs most likely financial aid section but I’m not too sure there should be an option to upload your banking info for direct deposit if not maybe contact fafsa or your university

Same when they open the invite nothing pops up it doesn’t even show the invite part when they login in

In the parent section, where you enter grants, benefits etc. where can I find that amount,on tax form, for my son's FAFSA 2022

@@BestCollegeAidUSA I was surprised that, as a mom, I created my own FAFSA ID, but I am married and file jointly (taxes) with my husband. As I helped my daughter fill out the student part, I was invited to fill out the parent part. when I was doing that, it asked for my husband's information, and he was sent an email. He didn't create an ID. Why is it asking for his info now too? Also, do you know why a question was asked about how many kids are in college? We have twins, and yes, we will fill this form out for each kid. We know the form was changed to not give credit for multiples or more than one kid in college. Why do they ask this question, then? How many kids are going to be in college for the 2024-2025 year? Data??? Curiosity?

@@BestCollegeAidUSA I was told by the support center that both parent need a FSA ID regardless of joint tax return. It was confusing

Currently one of my parent have troubleshoot making an account and was asking support if only one parent need an account

I also selected married and didn’t let me invite my husband to enter information. But when the student is filling out the invite it says on top that only one parent can also fill out the form. I guess this happens if you filed you taxes as a “married filing jointly” since the information is the same.

Same! The daughter signed and submitted it, but the mother was unable to sign. Please help me get my mom's signature. What should I do in this case? I worry too much.

Maybe try to use a different email or phone number. I had to create a new email to create it.

The same thing is happening to me! My mom cannot access her part of the Fafsa because when she clicks “accept invitation” the form doesn’t open, like literally nothing happens. We’re you able to solve it??

Ask your parents to log into their own FAFSA portal. An invitation from you should be listed in their portal. Otherwise, check with them if the email is in their junk or do a search in their email account using keyword FAFSA.

As per the FAQs on the studentaid website, only one parent can be the contributor if you have filed jointly

I’m having trouble signing my signature

We have the same situations and wondering the same…

There should be a box for you to check the “separated” status, if there isn’t a box to check then there should be a place for you to write “separated” then you only fill in the income of one parent, and it should be the parent that has provided you the most financial support out of the year, most likely the parent you live with, (or you can choose the parent that makes the least amount of money which would be the most beneficial for you on your FAFSA 🤫) hope this helps!

@@samsiddoha9484 I got it You have to make sure the information you are writing is the same as the parent identity information I would suggest telling your parent to login to their account and go to their information It will show how the name was written And if she has a second name in there. Example for my mom It was example Name: ramdom Middle initial : L Last name : Vazquez However in the fafsa form I only put First name : ramdom Last name Vazquez You don’t have to put the initial since is not asking you for it For me it finally work like that so I would check that out Hope it works for you tooo!!!
