I think the best part of the '24 lineup will be the discounts on the '23s that dealers want off the lot maybe this winter. The updates aren't enough to get me onto a '24 but a '23 does sound nice if I can get a good deal on an F3T, maybe an RT.
What a difference a few months make. With such a huge price increase for '24 and with nothing groud breaking on the Spyder, I jumped on a new '23 F3-S rather than get a '24 Ryker or Spyder. The 2024 has no good color options (IMO) and I don't use Apple products. The 2023 7.8" LCD display looks 90% the same as the new larger one, and it has Blutooth, phone and helmet connectivity. I loved the color options available, and for less than $100, I can add LED bulbs for the headlights. Oh, did I say It was also over 3k cheaper with current sales and dealer willing to sell old stock?
I agree that the move to LEDs was long overdue. I did notice the F3 Limited Special Series doesn't come with the foglights this year. Maybe they don't have any OEM LED foglights available yet? Personally, I'm okay with the new LEDs not being backward compatible since I feel some aftermarket LEDs are better looking than the new OEM units. I bought the TricLED replacement modules for my F3 Limited and I like having the integrated daytime running lights & turn signals. Overall, I like the upgrades across the line but nothing that makes me want to run out and try to replace the new 2023 I just bought. For someone in the market for a new one though, I think they'll be happy with the upgrades, especially the F3.

There is the new reverse selection on the 2024 models, no more reverse button, to select reverse you press the brake, turn the throttle clock wise and press negativ to go into reverse, then foot from the brake and give gas and reverse.
@@3WheelKhalil glad I haven’t bought mine yet. I will say I like that they added LED lights but I don’t necessarily like the new light design. Not as sleek. Should’ve kept to old light design and just changed the bulb insert circuitry to LED’s. But hey, we can’t win it all! I do think can am is rediculous though. So they add LEDS & new display but don’t offer a aftermarket plug and play stereo system like the MTX for the F3 S like they have for the Ryker. So basically making you go to the F3 T just to get speaker with no option for anything on the F3 S. It’s a money grab. You’d think that seeing the interest on the Ryker speakers they would have that for the F3S. 🤷🏾♂️ also think they should’ve add a tracking app to the display with a service to monitor your bike. @@Cinccinatti_C3 I actually like the square shaped headlights, kinda has this robo future look. But the sleeker design I’m sure would be nice too. Took a few years for the Ryker speakers to make it to market, so who knows? But I get that they also have to differentiate the models somehow.
@@danovila I said the same thing. Maybe the lights will grow on me as well. Someone may offer a aftermarket design for the light too. Only time will tell.
Software update needed for the F3S they all get the new screen but it shows a fault on the f3s for incompatibility because there’s no radio but the new system is looking for it. No big deal
The Ryker stuff was basic and expected . The F3 and RT was also very limited . That being said that new screen is sweet. I’m not caring much about the lights the halogen lights can be upgraded for 100 bucks no big deal. I have both the F3T and the Ryker . I think both models where almost perfect out of the box. I’m actually sitting here debating with myself if the new screen is that much of a game changer for me . Do I want it hell yea do I need it probably not. As it stands I can still crank my playlist and skip my songs and I have my garmin if I’m exploring the unknown. They are certainly workarounds but functional . It might be a credit to BRP that they did such a good job at the beginning. I’m still surprised the better sway bar isn’t standard . I do like that they upgraded the switch cluster with the display. All in all I will still lament that the improvements aren’t reverse compatible.
Yeah it’s a tough sell if you have a Spyder in good condition. With a good phone mount and aftermarket LEDs you aren’t really missing anything. Don’t think I will trade up tbh.
@@3WheelKhalil no a new dash isn’t worth it . Not to mention the same model I have is 3 grand more .now if they wanted to sell me a screen upgrade I’ll pay up to 1500 I think .
Hmm I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't sneak an upgraded sway bar in for the Spyders. With all the forum talk about their weak sway bars and Baja Ron aftermarket upgrade, they probably listened...we'll see. Hell, I upgraded my 22 RTL sway bar 1 week after owning it. I'm now at 1 year of owning the spyder and have just purchased Martin The Vlogger's H&R spring upgrade. Took me this long to realize that the springs are just as weak as the sway bar.

With the limited upgrades for 2024 models, I doubt that canam completely changed the brains and electronics. In saying this, I bet the new 10" screen can be retrofitted. I own a 22 RTL and from what I see, it'll definitely fit just by including the bezel as well. Give it some time...someone will do it
Hi, Khalil. I ride a 2019 F3-S which I bought new. I also ride conventional two-wheelers. The main things I dislike about my F3-S are the flimsy fitment of the rear seat and the worst switchgear I have experienced on any motorcycle. My budget KTM 390 Duke Mk2 has vastly superior switches, ironically the best I've had on any bike. Of the Ryker range, I like the Rally. Shame I can't afford one as well. I have subscribed. Nick J
Great point about the rear seat, never feels quite secure enough. It was a weird design choice to only secure it on one side. I also ride on 2 as well, considering adding a scrambler to the fleet in the near future. Thanks for watching!
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Looking forward to getting a 2024 Spyder RT Limited either this year or early next year. Definitely want to take advantage of winter sales. I do have a question, I am interested in the Spyder being my second car And I would ride it all year round. I live in Akron Ohio, so we do have winter. Have you heard of people riding a Spyder all year round, even during winter?
Would be nice to see if the F3 headlights can be retrofitted...the good is Slingmods already sells LED headlights which i already have so no matter what its an option. Price increases and linited option should make things interesting. I wonder whos gonna dump their current ryde for an upgrade..ill keep my modified Daytona Edition.
2up has been great on my F3S, my wife and I don't do long trips but around town she has been very comfortable and over bumps we haven't had issues. Compared to a Ryker Rally which I never felt comfortable going 2up on the stock suspension. Also keep in mind, we weigh more than average so I think it should be great for most folks out of the box.
The standard rear shock may work for town riding, but at highway speeds there would be a great benefit to upgrading to the two up shock from BRP. I weigh just over 200 lbs with all my riding gear. The shock bottoming out wasn't uncommon. For the price, it does provide a better ride overall compared to the stock shock. There are more expensive options to choose from also.
