The real question would be , is this dunlops version of the Head prestige mpl ? The mpl is built apparently for the customizer to create a pro stock racquet and therefore is the reason for the mpl's lightness . Seeing the new cx line in the store strung up only looks better when you match the strings to the grips . The white grip was seen with clear strings . The problem with doing that , is that it puts you into a performance box . The quality of the paint lolks better . The specs on the neck looks better as well , with embosing raised text of the string tech + and cx on the head and neck .
I don’t really understand this racket. It’s a materialized contradiction. Control racket specs (save for the weight) but given that it’s a LS the target group seems to be beginner/mid-level players. I guess that you need to have full and powerful swings to be able to reap its benefits but light racket users don’t appear to be the ones able to do it. And even more so if you equip it with poly strings. Or is it a control racket developed for advance players that are looking for something that would enable them customize it heavily?
Hi, I think it makes a lot sense. I purchased a lot of 305gr/98 inch rackets the last few years and ended up quite frequently with a racket that was overspecked, both in terms of weight and head heavyness. When 305gr is the max you can handle comfortably it becomes difficult to correct this situation. With a 290 or 295gr version you have more room for correction. The Solinco Whiteout 290gr is comparable and à better option than the 305 when you really want to customize it further to your taste with a static weight of 305 or 310 as your ideal scenario. I love these rackets. Great platform rackets but also great for upcoming juniors. Would love to see a batlle with the Whiteout 290 👍
