There are two MAJOR caveats to this that you haven't mentioned: If you live outside the U.S, the full autopilot feature is NOT available and the Supercharger network is nowhere near as comprehensive as it is in the States. Just thought I'd mention this, as they are big issues thst often get overlooked. Especially the autopilot, with unscrupulous dealers outright lying to customers about it.
@@teslapeg its actually been ruled as illegal in a lot of countries I believe. It certainly is here in the UK. Lane keeping assistance is fine, but full autopilot is not. Last time I went into a dealership to look at a Model Y, the salesman advised me that the full autopilot system is disabled on all models sold in the UK.
@@AntEloftheHouseofEl they passed a bill recently which will be in favor of FSD and other similar autonomous systems Mercedes offers. Autopilot however, can be used. But FSD beta is still not available nor legal to use on UK roads yet
If you actually watched the video, you’d see why I decided to title it as such. Both cars scored well but Ariya offered a bit more than the Model Y in some aspects
@@ericsawatzky54 can’t really argue with a fanboy. Like I said, it’s my “opinion” Tesla is still a no questions asked option for people who rely on supercharging. But those who don’t, competition is rising. We’ve seen it in Europe and we’ll see it in NA if legacy manufacturers address the infrastructure problem
lol “fan boy” far from it. I have criticized lots of stuff about Tesla and how they build their cars and don’t live up to their EPA rated range etc. I just think at this point they have EVs figured better than anyone, and that a true competitor to them is far away. Maybe I’m wrong? Time will tell.
@@teslapegHes right though. If you like the Ariya fine, but calling it Tesla killer is a bit of a bad joke…..I don’t really care about Tesla either, but over 60,000 units vs less than 7,000 in US in the same period isnt even really a competition… The situation globally is even worse..The Ariya has one of the largest stockpiles of stock in the world currently…they dont sell.
No, it sucks. Battery efficiency is poor, on-board infotainment is horrendous. Boot is way smaller than it should be. I test drove one and was so disappointed. Only plus is the comfort, build quality and paint finish. Want to rest your elbows on the centre console and doorcard simultaneously? You can't, because there's about 9 inches of height difference between the two. Awful.
