this is the best polaris machine to date in my opinion. so we'll thought out and truly ready for the trails. I'm in love with them. Rent one today at www.BackboneAdv...
I went here two years ago, drove a Can-Am and we had a blast that the kids will never forget! I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Polaris like this though
The wife and I just purchased this same machine. You did a great job of breaking down the new features. I think the only thing I didn't hear you mention on the performance side, is they bumped the HP to 114 for the 2024 XP 1000's.
Thanks for the video .. Got a 2024 XP 1000 4 sport ..no frills in the cab but mofo-❤go-goes on the trails and light sand allll day. I love it, but it's nice to have the backup vote of confidence from somebody that rides these things hard all the time
We started comparing the KRX with XP. I think the frame on 2024 XP has been made stronger also. Nice review. Good to hear about the clutches and gearing. We do Eastern trails so a turbo is not wanted.
I have a 2020 kawasaki TERYX4 and after a couple seasons I think we are ready for a more sporty faster SXS. Thanks for the info on the 24 RZR. I thought I wanted the KRX but the more I look at options I think I am going to go with a non turbo RZR 4 seater. We live in Reno so we have access to both open desert and the Sierra mountains.
We are a rental company as well. We were running the XP General ultimates and we just switched to the RZR XP 1000’s for 2024. We literally blew the clutches out twice in 6000 miles on the Generals. When we sold them we went through our dealer and sold them on consignment. Our dealer is super picky about going through the units before they will sell them. They checked the clutches and said they didn’t need rebuilt. Hopefully the RZR XP 1000 is the same.
Hey Andy.. Very Informative video thank you. I recently got rid of a 2022 can am commander max For a bunch of different reasons but mainly the drive line chatter Is that the four seaters have.. Currently trying to decide between a maverick x3 And the new polaris 1000... I think your video just made up my mind.. I've never really been a polaris guy but i'm leaning hard that way now. Thanks for the good content.
Nice video. You made some nice points. We have had many RZRs. We have a new 2024 Polaris RZR XP 1000 Ultimate 2dr and we are very happy with it so far. Love the clutching and the new lower gearing in low and high. The interior noise is more decibels than previous years. You definitely don't need a turbo for woods riding. The interior noise is from the engine/trans. No squeaks and rattles. I think the louder noise is a combo of the dual Frog Skins large trans intake tube. Just a guess.
I want to say thank you for making this video sir, I've been watching videos all day deciding on wether or it I should get this in premium or a pro xp for a few thousand more
Hey Andy great video took your advice on the new rzr. Picking it up this week. The ultimate in the red . I was looking hard at the mavericks ..coming across your video helped alot.. I do trail riding up here in Manitoba Canada The Rzr is actually the machine for me.. Thanks again Andy Brian Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦👍
Hi Andy, thanks for the informative review. I am a first time s x s buyer and am considering the Honda Talon, Polaris XP 1000 and the Kawasaki. I’ll be riding the east coast not too aggressive. Which one did you like the best?
Having owned all 3, I'd say the 2024 Polaris XP 1000 all day long. The only area in which the Kawasaki beats the new Polaris is in the front shocks. I'd still go with the Polaris without a second thought.
I bought the Honda pioneer 1000 6 cause of the 6 speed transmission....not crazy Abt a belt drive ride....I think all the sxs needs a transmission...imo
I was looking at these at a dealer a couple weeks ago, took a minute, then I told my buddy "it looks like a KRX." I'm a polaris guys and two, a General and a RZR.
I ride with some turbo models and they always overheating 220 during the winter on a slow Trails my non-turbo rides at 190 engine temp and I just seen that I don't like about turbos you got to let the engine running longer to cool them down which that means you wearing your engine faster non-turbo you don't have to deal with that drama don't get me wrong they are faster
Although longer, I think you'll be happier with the perforance and suspension from the Talon. The Rmax (in my opinion) is nothing more than a slightly built up utility machine.
eh talon has the worst suspension of bout any sport sxs out there, performance is fine, rmax is the best of exactly what it is a hybrid sport utility and better fit finish of any sxs@@BackboneADV
I went with the Rmax. I looked at these. The canam defender xmr and the Polaris. As a previous Polaris owner I didn’t actually have any really issues out of mine with 3k miles other than broken axles mainly due to the big mud tires. The rmax is truly above the competition in “fit and finish” get in all of them and you’ll see. The rmax probably isn’t the very best in one thing but it is really good at everything. Plenty of power. The wet clutch set up IMO is far superior to the rest including the talon. Talon is nice for trail rides. But very slow crawls and technical trails the rmax wet clutch is just simply amazing. You probably couldn’t go wrong with any of these so I suggest looking at all of them even if you’re eager to get a machine very soon.
