It was nice to meet you at the Portland Auto Show. I am looking forward to taking one for a test drive. The estimated mugs are in line with some of the other vehicles I have been looking at that are not as off road savvy. I like that the lift gate window can open separately. Slightly disappointed that rear seats do not fold flat with cargo deck. But, you can't have everything. I love the round headlights, but I will be wanting the middle trim. If the next generation 4Runner hybrid gets compatible mileage, it is going to be a tough choice :)
Cool review, Maggie. Front looks solid and bold. Not having wireless charging is a bit odd. With this price they should have included some common features.
The 1958 would be perfect for me, everything I need, the two lockers, standard towing weight and trailer brake, good capacity and capability, and none of the overly luxurious crap I have no need for
I was hoping it was going to get Highlander hybrid gas mileage when they first announced a hybrid Land Cruiser. I would have been happy with what review channels were (turns out) speculating, which was 27 combined. That turned out to be inflated rumor. 23 combined won't get it so I'm stuck buying the soccer mom Highlander hybrid. Hope it can handle dirt roads.
Thanks for the tour. The 1958 is just too basic for me. Manual seats, cloth seats, no roof rack, etc so even with the 100+ Toyota add on options that will be available the 1958 will need to much work. Lots of marketing will be needed here.
