KelTec P15 4" 9mm. Thin and lightweight comparable to Glock 19 or Glock 48. Plan to use for testing along with Ruger LC9S(3.1") and SIG P365XL(3.7") when comparing various rounds at the range.
I own Glocks, Sigs, Smith and Wessons, Ruger and Taurus handguns. My first Kel-tec was the P-17. Absolutely love it not a single issue whatsoever! I went to my local gun store and they showed me the P-15. Really liked how it felt and pointed in my hands, the Gator grip is slightly to abrasive for me so I added a Hogue grip that fits my 365 along with the included grip extension the gun ships with. Went to the range after cleaning and oiling and I shot fmj and jhp rounds, ran just great not nearly as snappy as the reviews I had seen, very very accurate at 15 to 20yards for me. Loved the night sights this gun, is now in my carry rotation I trust it just as much as my Shields,365 and G3/G3c. Judge for yourself not all Kel-tecs are what 'internet experts" say they are!
I just had it with me at the range again today. Still haven't had time to put as many rounds through as I'd like, but about 50 so far with no issues. Personally I like the grip texture and the more narrow grips. The sights are bright and the trigger is great. So far so good. Unlike a new Glock, I don't plan to change anything on this. Not ready to commit to it as a carry choice, but it's heading in that direction.
PSA has a flush fit 15 round mag that fits the G48 that works and does not require the mag release to be changed. I will be looking at the Keltec P15. The P17 is a winner. You can cut weight and recoil with 9mm fluted 65 grain Norma NXD ammo.
My Kel-tec p17 is an awesome 22. Runs 6 or 7 different types of ammo I have. Don't really care for the grip safety on this, but not a dealbreaker if it runs.
Very interesting. #1 is, how reliable is the Ke-tec, or any pistol. #2 or there about, is how is the trigger, and is it accurate. But this starts off looking very good! 12 rounds of 9mm in a concealable package is what I hope to get from my next carry gun. Looking forward to your range testing.
My P15 was a very early number and had to go back to KT a few times. It's running great now, and holds 16 rounds. Great trigger, great sights, very slim, very light.
I cant get past the no safety on the gun. I like to carry one round in the chamber all the time and with no safety it's scary pulling it out of a holster or pocket.
