That's definitely cool, multiple playable characters and they aren't boring to use!? Win win in my book. Shadow is a little underwhelming but that more than makes up with metal and sonic. Metal sonic alone is a better 06. And the future of the hacks of this game will look brighter than ever. Not as bright as Mario 64 rom hacks but still. Now all we need is to fix big the cat, and this game is essentially perfect.
seriously, the modders and hacker community of this game have literally made my dream as a child come true. They've taken this game and turned it into every sonic fans dream. Thank god for this community.
Although I would love Big's levels/gameplay to be fixed, I also want Amy's gameplay to be fixed. She is way to slow and her special ability either stops her in her tracks, or sends her flying. I honestly prefer Big's levels over Amy's. His levels are still bad and need to be fixed though.
Shadow hypothetically should also have a boost. Shadow has shown to have a ton of different chaos abilities (chaos snap, chaos rift) in different games so itd be cool to see his full potential moveset... but this mod isnt done until we see super big
6:17 Shadow was pretty decent in Forces. He didn't get much of a role, but he was himself. 06 Shadow is also an amazing character. ShTH Shadow acts differently because he has amnesia. He technically is a different character from SA2 Shadow.
the ow the edge shadow is the same shadow from heroes. AND YET, he doesn't act like him and just hates humans for no reason. So yes, shadow in his own game is worse than in any other in the series

Dude, you don't need a gaming PC to run SADX, your Smartphone could run the game (The original Dreamcast version was released in 1998 and the DX Re-release was released in 2003) I could run the game with NO GPU and still get 60 FPS

I don't think it is. The mod was a bit of a pain to get running. And yeah, the creator sounds like he's going to be making a large scale thing out of this! So new levels and stuff are on the horizon I assume. And if this game does get the Mario 64 treatment, we're in for quite the ride.
custom levels seems like it would be nice for this mod. a lot of these mobility skills seem like they'll just make the game too easy and some of these new abilities seem like they won't be that useful in the normal level design.
About hyper shadow I would say no to that.we already have epilepsy sonic and I’m not saying I don’t like hyper forms, I just wish they didint look like how they are because epilepsy

I love Sonic’s new maneuverability, and the fact that Hyper Sonic can fly. Shadow’s pretty cool too, but he’s definitely the most underwhelming. And Metal is just really interesting. One thing I’d like to see though, is the meter. I think it’d be a good idea for the meter to not deplete in the overworld, kinda like how the boost doesn’t deplete in Sonic Generations. It’d be fun to just screw around in Station Square to my heart’s content

I have a theory, metal sonic was originally going to have a super But they realized that he would be over powered with the Jems so they made hyper Sonic, that is why what I made of plays in the background
Actually I honestly believe they ARE the Chaos Emeralds, and there's plenty of evidence to justify this; There are seven of them, they all match the exact colors of the Chaos Emeralds, and it was cut from the final release but there was an 8th gem called the Rainbow Gem which was unlocked by collecting all 7 gems and using it would have turned Sonic into Super Sonic for use in regular stages
The only complaint I can possibly have right now is that the levels aren't built to support these additions. Edit: Even boss fights seem to work. And hey, accidentally found out boost works in cutscenes. Eggman: The greatests scientific mind in the- Sonic: WOO!

4:22 INSTANT NUT; I missed hyper sonic. I understand why he was taken out of the series but I missed that fucker. It took a lot of work to get to him but once you did hooooo boy did the game feel fun. I kinda wish that these unlocks would bring in newer and harder stages lol; kinda like hazard stages where the sonic or said character has to retain their super state
*Of course, it could work!* Literally, the only requirements for the boost mechanic to work in an open-world environment are: 1. Finding the correct balance of power. 2. Designing the game to reward its usage.

3:55 actually is SA2’s Super Sonic, just look at Sonic in the FinalHazard battle in SA2, even the shoes are from SA2’s Sonic (even if the model used for Sonic in this mod is the SA2’s Sonic)

I want to play Metal because he OP! But I want Metal's flight to be infinite, meaning not taking any up any of the gauge, but you can only go so high up in an area.

Umm well there’s one thing I hate about hyper sonic and that is hyper sonic=epilepsy sonic. They would just have to change it so he didn’t change colors and so his double jump didn’t make a white flash on the screen and then he’s good
QOTD: I haven't played SA1 but I did play Emerald Coast in Generations 3DS and Speed Highway in Generations. After those, I'm staying away from this one. You may think I don't like Generations but to be fair 3ds was my first modern sonic game and the main version was my third (after SA2) so maybe don't make the levels really annoying to drive away new players?
I can’t get the mod to work correctly, when I have no mods enabled except for the ones the readme file tells me to enable, the game runs too slow. I’m on Core i5 8250 running at 1.6 GHz and I’m using Intel HD Graphics 620.

I remember watching one of his videos about the boost in sadx and I thought that it was gonna be its own separate mod but NOPE! IT BECAME THE BEST SADX MOD IN THE HISTORY OF SADX MODDING! So you’re playing SA1, with SA2 Sonic, with S06’s hud, and the boost from Sonic Unleashed. I know it’s a tired statement, but Jesus we NEED this gameplay style back.
I can't seem to get the OIT MOD set up correctly. Whenever I use it, it lags the game tremendously and makes a ton of elements disappear, but without it, Shadow, Metal, and upgradeless Sonic don't load properly, with Shadow and Metal specifically having really messed up textures.
I have the version off game banana any advice? because it keeps crashing every time i select a character, I need advice for the mods I need on, and the ones I need off.

main thing that SADX did better than SA2B is chars in SADX has all their unique moveset while in SA2B for 4 chars in each game mode kinda copies eachother and shadow deserves better attributes and moveset than it already has in SA2B wich its sad for a badass like him to be overshadowed by sonic when SA2B didnt let him use his real moveset wich its sad but oh well, i like the way the made tails a Dr. Robotnik style in Sa2b but i wish both tails and eggman can do more in their mech than just be a copy of Gamma, (other than the hoverring on water that gamma could and tails and eggman couldnt, tails and eggman were easier to controll than gama imo) i wish they gave them option to switch weapons in battle i wish there was a boss fight at the end of every mech stages in SA2B like they did with Gamma in SADX and i also wish Chaos 0 gets his moveset from SADX transfered to SA2B in different game mode
I think this mod looks cool but I have a couple issues. Shadow, Metal Sonic, and Hyper Sonic's models don't look like they belong in Sonic Adventure. Also Shadow's skate animation looks weird.

Shadow was never confirmed to being a hero, he just remembered Maria didn’t want a genocide or an extinction done in her name. A heroic act, but it doesn’t mean Shadow learned how to be a hero, he just learned his friend hadn’t wanted him to be a monster. Amnesia is also a decent reason for a “weapon” to be a shady “edge”-hog. Psychologically speaking, his slight moral and personality change, as well as his amnesia, are to be expected from the fall he took.
I want someone to make a SA1 mod that replaces Big the Cat with Big Smoke from GTA SA and make so that instead of his goal being getting Froggy his goal would be getting his Cluckin Bell.
My game crashes a lot with this mod, might be my pc tho. It crashes during transitions like the Tornado in Windy Valley or jumping into Twinkle Park from the race car section.
I think shadow runs too much before skating. I wish the creator could get shadows exact same animation from sa2 for skating. But i really would like to see shadows chaos control be implented, either speeding through the levels or stopping time would be cool
I understand wanting to be op in a sonic game or broken ganes...but wats the point if sonics spindash is already op? It just waters down the game just like the other characters, no challenge basically
