Heard that the new acela was heading north and lucky was in the area and decided to head to canton junction got some nice hornshows from the friendly crews and a great shot of the new acela passing thru the junction up close.
@@AmtrakAcelaProductions 100 mph? Lol!!! Cant waite till they complete the construction of the cho Shinkansen maglev super train. When completed, the wife and i are traveling to Japan to be one of the few americans to experience real highspeed bullet technology. The cho Shinkansen is a maglev train that runs on magnetic levitation and can reach speeds of up to 375 mph. If you think Amtrak is great, your jaw will drop when you see this.. Highspeed bullet trains and maglev super train technology, the new american dream....
@carlsmith5545 quite a lot of people here are here to view what they wanna view, if they wanna see the maglev they will but don't put speed shame on the trains
,This is excellent. you just set it and let the cam do the work. it is of great quality. once it warms up, this is a good spot for this and not far from home, kudos!
thanks for the comment! its an especially great spot during the weekdays, Stoughton branch trains, amtrak and the occasionally Wickford junction non-stop trains
Haven't really gotten much snow most of the storms it ends up melting or melted by rain the next day. I do have a video I'm waiting to upload from a few weeks ago where it was white out conditions from a quick snow storm we got stay tuned for that!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,great presence at the stations,,,,,,,,ya hope to energize the engine operators to blast a horn or more..................................................energy is contagious
Really? Im going to Japan to be one of the few americans to experience the cho Shinkansen maglev super train when completed. Speeds of up to 375 mph. Acela is crawling..
@@Malo-TheFlyingFrenchman but they are, they can't hit 300km/h because half of the tracks aren't eletrified, a lot of tunnels and bridges are 200 years old, and so on. At least they said they are going to modernize these infrastructures
@@hakohito Our track infrastructure is ancient and inadequate. There is so much politics involved with US rail infrastructure that even if we can import fast trains from Europe, we still can't solve our problems.
If AMTRAK WOULD HAVE MADE THE AVELIA LIBERTY TO GO ABOUT 200 from the beginning , then it wouldn't be much of a speed issue ,then we would know what real speed speed taste like then try to match it.........
Will the MBTA PLEASE invest in direct PANTOGRAPH and CATENARY for its purple suburban lines?! Metro North has done so, NJT has done so, SEPTA has done so, and MARC has also done so, WHY NOT the MBTA? Battery locomotives are DISPROVEN and UNRELAIBLE!There seems to be some pantograph, and catenary (or third rail) going on here! PLEASE GET WITH IT! Thank you.
i think the main reason for not currently having them is locomotives that can only be used between Boston and providence and not having the proper maintenance shops, the extension to Wickford junction does not have centenary over the extra sidings for the t and the Stoughton branch also does not currently have wires, they are suppose to get some if the T and state ever precedes with part 2 of the south coast rail project. i think the mbta should have purchased units similar to the ones NJT had but the battery idea seems to be the more "future" idea.
Battery locs need a chance to prove themselves, and people like you have to stop being so negative about them; also, you have to accept that it might not be possible to have over heard catenary in all areas of the United States or Canada.
@@AmtrakAcelaProductions, as I just said above today (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p5f3fO5Wb7g.html&lc=Ugy1lcKbnnkhpCc_oRh4AaABAg.A-KHuIL0_c_A-y5fUL24tp), people like @user-ci2sh2ym5i have to accept that overhead wiring can't be used in all areas of the United States or Canada, and tyhat for a lot of areas, battery power or hydrogen power would be a better option.
America doesn't "need" train service. In EVERY country, passenger rail is a boondoggle that consumes public money and contributes nothing. Train tickets in the US are often more expensive than airplane tickets due to the vast distances. And jets are faster than any train ever will be.
Keep the negativity to yourself, please; people like you don't seem to get that the USA and Canada are big nations, and that building and putting HSR isn't going to be easy. Also, people like you don't seem to get that perfect is the enemy of good. As well, where were people like you when Obama wanted to build HSR, and needed a ton of support?
@@Neville60001Indonesia and China are big nations are have HSR. Even India is building its HSR. Australia doesn't have a HSR but has a really good trains service that its faster than the ones in NA.
WHY?? High speed trains are boondoggles. They are parasitic vampires which suck public money and never give it back. They are not cost competitive here with jet airplanes and jets can go FAR faster than the fastest of trains.
@intheknow7659, keep the negativity to yourself; also, where were people like you when Obama was trying to get HSR built in his first term as POTUS? Baby steps have to be taken, not great big strides wanted by people like you (remember, perfect is the enemy of good.)
@@Neville60001 Baby steps over a period of how many decades do you expect? How about instead of spending on dumb wars like the one in Ukraine, we use that money to launch an actual effort. Show me a functioning practical high speed rail that runs over a long distance in the US. Good luck.
@@Neville60001 Also if you view as wanting the US to strive for better as negative. Then you are one of the contributing factors as to why the US ranks 27th in the world education wise. We actually lack the education to be able to accomplish an effective system.
@@intheknow7659, helping Ukraine defend itself isn't a waste of money, especially when it's wrong for Russia to be invading that country and it has a right to defend itself and ask for help to defend itself under United Nations rules. What's being done for Ukraine has *_nothing_* to do with the funding of HSR, and my question to you still applies; where were people like you when Barack Obama wanted to build HSR back during his first term as POTUS, *_when he needed your support to do so_* ?
