Loved this when we saw it at the show. My only niggle was that the sofa seats weren’t deep enough for my liking. Heavy nose weight I suspect though which is interesting considering it’s on the alko chassis and hitch.
Wow ! Karina the kitchen is fabulous .The lay out seems perfect , a bit concerned about the wooden cutting board but the whole space is well designed ,love the lounge area , I agree with you re the bed and the window in the bathroom and ,,,,the peculiar placement of the toilet roll holder .
What a fantastic layout!! Love the kitchen and the lounge! Feels really homely, expensive though but that's how it is. Great review Karina, keep it up, this was obviously made when the weather was a little warmer!! I bet it's cold up in Yorkshire!! Take care, hugs xxx
I don't know if you noticed, but the lounge seating is really shallow, so not great from a comfort point of view, especially when relaxing at the end of the day - I felt the seating was more like a Dr's waiting room than a caravan lounge area. The concept is fab, but the seats need to be deeper. Great review as always!
Funny you should say that Mike, someone else commented the same about the seats, although I am not sure they have now changed them after similar feedback. I love this layout, this would be the one for me if I went back to a caravan. Have a good weekend when it arrives 👍😊
Thanks for another great review; love the kitchen, and the lounge but agree that with the 'poor' access to the washroom that it doesn't really work as a four berth.
Hi fantastic video as always a couple of things you may have missed is the pullout spice rack next to the fridge and no microwave, we spoke with you at the NEC show and ordered our Alpina Rio Grande but will not get it till May 2024 we have been told that the microwave will be in top cupboard next to the fridge like the Mississippi but we will see what happens and we thought about self-levelling but we thought we would give it a season to make sure we love it and can live with it as it's a big jump up for us size wise regards Wayne
Thank you for watching Wayne, and congratulations on ordering this model.. thanks for adding about the microwave too. See how you get on with the levelling, you can always add it later if needed and in the budget. I will look out for you on the road next year! 👍😊
As a US based Airstream owner, I so wish we could buy these types of caravans/ travel trailers over here. So much better use of all available space, much higher quality bathrooms and sofas in the living room and way better refrigerators . The only thing though is that the A frame chassis is Super long and adds a lot more length to an already long trailer/van. Pity they did not put another big window above the bed (head end ) to add some extra light and view options to the room. Airstreams dont have frosted glass/windows in the bathroom either. Mine has the window which face the rear of the trailer so typically there is no one behind you in most sites. If there is I just lower the aluminum blinds at night (windows are tinted black so you cant see in anyway during the day).
Thank you for watching..I do like Airstreams, yes, our UK and European caravans have quite a different feel. Our caravan sites tend to have pitches quite close together so privacy can be an issue. That frosted window can be a lifesaver 😂😊
Love the layout, that mattress looks like it does move, I have seen Adrias where the top of the mattress lifts so you can sit up in bed and I wonder whether this one does too. It ought to for that price.
The best layout I've seen so far. 9:25 is there any model implementing a wall bed / Murphy bed for the sake of space efficiency during the day? I haven't seen any yet and I think it's a great idea for caravans.
Yes, Knaus Yaseo has a folding bed design, the only other option I can think of is caravans with the suspended bed, kind of like we know from motorhomes like the Adria Matrix. For example, I think almost all of the Bürstner caravan models have a bed that is high over the dinette area and then you can lower it at night... same with Dethleffs C´GO UP and Aero UP, or Hobby has some models like the DE LUXE 515 UHK or 515 UHL... But I am not sure whether these are available in the UK as well or only on the continent ☺
I'm glad you did the tour because did I like the Rio Grande, and the answer is No. I don't like the kitchen layout as my wife would have her back to me when I'm sitting in the sofa and we're talking... A bit unsociable. The front window has a horizontal division, unlike our Adria Alpina Mississippi which it has a full pane window with no division, which lets the outside light stream in. I much prefer the U-shaped lounge in our Mississippi not the two side sofas. They also don't have as much light above as we have in our front lounge. Furthermore, if you had the lounge table out between both the sofas this prevents easy access to the front and the back of the van. With the Mississippi, the table is at the very front of the Van. In summary, is this Van worth £13,500 more than what we paid for our Mississippi at the end of 2020 ? The answer is a resounding No, as the differences are in my opinion minimal and cosmetic. I know a lot of the price increase however is due to the massive demand for caravans during Covid. Great you did the tour though as it reinforced what a great value for money Van we have with our Alpina Mississippi. Also, Adrias are fantastic vans in my opinion. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for watching and I am glad you are a happy Adria owner. We have always been very happy with our Adria vehicles. The Mississippi is a great caravan and the 2020 models were very solid. We loved our Isonzo. Have a great weekend 👍
@@HereWeTow good to see somebody else loves the Adria quality as much as us. There's a coincidence as well, as we bought our Mississippi through John Burton at Cara ! Great bloke as he is one of the few dealers that gives as good after sale service, as pre-sales.
I enjoyed your tour but I don't like that Rio Grande layout. We have a Adria Alpina Mississippi, and much prefer the U-shaped lounge at the front with all the outside light streaming in above us from the front window. I don't like the kitchen at the front as my wife will have her back to me all the time as we're speaking... Not very sociable. Also our front window is one full panel with no horizontal division unlike the Rio Grande. I don't like the left side sofa in the middle as you are hidden from the person in the kitchen by the side of the fridge. In essence is this worth £13,000 more than what I paid in December 2020 ? The answer is a resounding ' No' as the differences are merely cosmetic in my opinion. Glad you did the tour however as it just reinforced what a brilliant van the Alpina is and what a great bargain we got in 2020.
