Thank you guys! I'm so excited for this bad boy. I've got the 9L Bellroy Sling and I love it, but I've become remote recently so I need to lug my laptop, charger, and work headset along with me. So I think this is gonna be just right for me. I cant wait to get mine in 4 days!
i have the day pack 2 and I just purchased the city pack! i think it'll better fit my needs as the day pack is ever so slightly too tight for my thiccc Lenovo Legion 5 laptop. great video! helped push me over the edge to buy ANOTHER AER bag lol
1. LOVE THIS CHANNEL! 2. They took the feedback from their Instagram post and Intergraded it into this bag which shows they listen! 3. I literally have like 9 bags from AER, and I think they just sit at the top and it’s hard not to talk about them. It’s like Apple :). 4. Keep doing what your doing!
What about the "X-Pac" version? do you recommend this version? do you know what's the main differences? In the pictures seems having PU coating on all zippers (other than, obviously, the X-Pac materials) btw, great review, as always.
Hi Aaron! Amazing review! I’m just about buying one of this but I have a little concern, do you think the water bottle pocket can fit my Yeti 18oz water bottle? The one with the chug cap? I’m looking for a slim backpack and I’m about to buy this one, but I’m between the Aer City Pack, the Aer Pro Pack Slim or the Day Pack 2, I’m looking for a very slim Aer backpack but my daily water bottle is the Yeti 18oz and I really need a backpack that can for specifically that water bottle. I hope you can help me.
Thanks Ivan! Unfortunately I can’t help you as I don’t have one of those, but I def recommend reaching out to Aer - they should be able to give you a better idea
@@ryztofu I disagree with my own statement lol. I should have said 'I much prefer the look of ballistc nylon' cuz truth be told, both are 10/10 in terms of quality and weather resistance. Pick whichever one you like the look of more :)
@@Nomads.Nation Haha okay thank you! I might go for the x-pac then because I believe it has the waterproof zippers all around as compared to the non x-pac version. I also like how it looks. Quick question.. I heard that the x-pac version was made somewhere else?? like in china? Do you have any idea if this is true? Either way I'll probably go for this x-pac.
So how rain-resistant are the main zippers? That is my number one concern with bags. If I cannot walk 30 minutes through pouring rain without the contents getting wet, that bag is useless to me, no matter how good it is in other aspects. It would be cool if you guys would do some actual tests - just put the bags in the shower.
Hey Morpheus, if you are looking for a backpack that can last 30 minutes in a torrential downpour then I'd recommend getting a waterproof backpack - NOT an urban weather resistant backpack (like this). I'm not sure which backpack to recommend tho - I can only show you the door, you're the one who has to walk through it (couldn't help myself with the Matrix quote)
Ok, this video is 3 years old by now but I watched it a few times last week and got my bag this weekend. 1st impressions are great. One thing which actually impressed me as well is the delivery, or better the packing. You don’t do unboxing, but their box game is strong, gives you the right feeling for a product that cost over 150 £/$/€
Love this channel and all you do. Thanks for your thorough and fun reviews. I used your link above to purchase the AER City Pack for use at weekend sports cards conventions since I am a sports card collector and dealer. I need something light, yet roomy enough for my essentials as I spend hours on my feet walking around trade shows. I won't be carrying my slabbed cards in here as I have a separate briefcase for that, but things like my phone, wallet, pad, water bottle, notebook, thin sweater, etc., this seems like it will be perfect for that purpose. Thanks again!
Yes Hans, 100% correct, but also it's not as versatile - the Aer Flight Pack 2 can be carried as a backpack, brief, or messenger with its stoweable shoulder straps
Thanks Damion! They are pretty different, but also so similar haha, I think you can't go wrong with either. If I had a gun to my head though, I'd go with this :)
@@damionberv5074 It can kindooffffff. It's not going to be as stable as other backpacks that stand tall (like the Nomatic Backpack for example) BUT it should be able to hold itself up fairly well (especially when packed)
I have a question , will this bag sag and can it fit 1 iPad 1 MacBook 16inch , iPad charger, MacBook charger, both cables, phone, 4 books, AirPods, headphones

@@Nomads.Nation i currently have the day pack 2 and I still ended up purchasing this one. mainly because my Lenovo legion 5 is ever so slightly too big for the daypack 2's laptop compartment and I feel like I'm going to rip the bag at the seams
@@Nomads.Nation I have the DayPack 2 and Travel Pack in the x pac color. I love them both! I went with the City Sling 2 x pac as this bag was too similar to my DayPack 2 and I needed something smaller
Awesome review! I need something new for a city job and need durability, professional look, lightweight, and security. I have researched several options and am sold..however.. my only apprehension is there is no false bottom in the laptop compartment. Do any users see this as an issue?
Which of the two would work better as a college/work backpack. This or the City Pack Pro version? I've read somewhere that 24L is the most common capacity for a College backpack so I'm leaning more into getting the Pro. Are there any differences between this and the Pro version other than capacity?
Love the review. I just bought the X-Pac version of the bag. Love the organization and the slim profile. Only thing i don't like is , Laptop compartment is not suspended.
I came back to this review to consider its fit. On some of the backpacks you don't wear them to show fit: some YT do show back and sideto get an idea: good thing to consider for any wearable you review. Am I asking too much 😱👍👋
It would be nice if any of these gear review channels would have on hand the standard size/popular water bottles to show fitment. You'd think it would be a no-brainer.
I had just got the aer 16 inch laptop sleeve and was wondering if this backpack or what aer backpack preferably a sling would fit that case plus other things ?
Love the city pack pro - our review should be live in a week or two. I much prefer the look and feel of BN over X Pac, but understand that X Pax has weatherproof advantages
5L smaller, doesn't have stowable shoulder straps, can't go into full brief-mode, doesn't have a shoulder strap for messenger mode, aside from that tho, basically the same lol
Amazing review! You are my number 1 bag reviewer. I’m planning to buy this bag this week, but before I do, any recommendation for a better one with similar size? Help me out bro. Thanks.
@@Nomads.Nation just as I thought. I guess it’s a go. Thank you bro. May your subscribers grow to the millions! I’m sharing your channel with my friends. They are hooked too. NN all the way!
You can’t go wrong either way! I’d say the flight pack has more impressive functionality, but if you don’t need the 3-in-1 features and just need a backpack, then the City Pack is better
Great review as always! I really dislike the limited access in the bag. I get why they do it but that's why I have not bought one of the Aer backpacks yet. I love the way it looks though. I would love to know your thoughts on TomToc. I feel like they are a budget Aer. Thank you!
Always appreciate your comments Sarah! Agreed on the limited access - I get why they do it as well but it's just kinda annoying sometimes lol. Also I'll be sure to check out TomToc :)
While the Flight Pack 2 and this look fairly similar - I think they serve very different functions. Mainly the Flight Pack's ability to be a brief/messenger as well as a backpack - which makes it ideal for carry on for flights :)
Ahhh I've never actually reviewed a fully waterproof backpack so I can't say for sure. TRULY waterproof backpacks usually look like scuba-gear, so it's not really my style. If you get one please let me know what you think about it!!
Day : more roundish shape, can stand on it's own and has a more minimalist look with nothing to display on its front. City : box shape, has a front dump pocket and fits better to the back due to the angle top although I'm not entirely sure if it really make a difference. Maybe the guys at nomads nation could confirm it for me?
I see that you also have a review on the Able Carry Daily pack. Could you please compare the two? Which would you recommend? (I prioritise comfort > organisation > aesthetic)
@@Nomads.Nation Hey man! Thanks for your reply! Would the City pack be good for carrying many hours on the go (no slouching or neck strains)? I'm talking upwards 8 hours
@@smigglesmiggles614 glad to help! That's a super tough question to answer as it depends on so many factors (your body type, your posture, how heavy the pack is, how many hours you are actually wearing it, etc) but I would say that out of all packs, Aer make some of the most comfortable and you should be fine :)
Hey Kent, yea I get that, there are so many Aer products to review and they are in such high demand! But in the next few weeks we will be done with Aer reviews for the foreseeable future - stay strong!
@@todaysgrailtomorrowsbeater like I said, both are stellar. It just depends on which you prefer - the look of cordura, or the improved weather resistance of XPAC. Cordura is still very very weather resistant, but just not as much as XPAC.
I thought it looked way too thin but after you went through all of the pockets it looks like there is a ton of organization. Sunglass pocket, keyring holder in outer pocket both nice. I think the lack of fully being able to open both main compartments still seems like a deal breaker. Keep it up with testing a water bottle in the pocket. Looks like a slim style water bottle only. Any other stock songs for backing tracks? :)
Thanks for the love Kevin! And agreed on your points about it looking too thin, but having a surprising amount of organization. As for the songs - they are all written, produced and performed by my brother so I better tell him to get his ass back in the studio!
I'm curious why you wouldn't compare this to the Day Pack 2? Its relatively the same size and seems like the same bag other than the front zip pocket and side handle. Maybe it wasn't out when you did the review? Your comparison between the Day Pack 2 and Tech Pack 2 was great but this one seem very similar as well. Do you have a preference between the two? Thanks!
Thanks for the love Cole! We did a review on the best Carry On Backpacks, but not Personal Item Bags - great suggestion and I've added it to our to-shoot list :)
