Only problem with all these new builds in Seguin and New Braunfels is the HOA fees, and the fact that's nowhere to put your boat and your'e right on top of your neighbor. Lean out the window and shake hands with your neighbor close. Trying to find something so nice, with the space for vehicles a boat and a workshop and not on top of each other is maddening. I know, I've been searching since last October. Sellers market wherever you go. Selling for $30k and up above asking. If you don't want to be in that bidding war new build is ther only way and then you're back to the cons.

You couldn't pay me to live in an HOA again, ours sounded similar too, constant traffic from a nearby expressway. Now we live on 35 acres in the woods with the closest neighbor being miles away. It's glorious.

I just bought a Pulte home in Fort Lauderdale FL and can attest to their build quality! I pulled up the carpet and laid down 1,000 sqft of luxury vinyl flooring upstairs to match the tile downstairs and I started from one end and never broke with a transition all the way to the other end and the entire length of every perpendicular wall was identical. Perfectly square, that is unheard of. I love my Pulte home. And their customer care is amazing. Edit: thanks for the blessings too! Great final word brother! Love it! Romans 1:16

When I was looking for my first home, I also looked at a lot of new construction homes similar to these that you showcase and it was so much fun to check them out; the different floor plans and how nicely they were furnished and decorated. Of course, the model homes are always filled with upgrades that are going to increase that base price a whole lot so you can't fall in love with it based on the model homes or you will be very disappointed and/or experience sticker shock..unless you can afford all those cool upgrades, then by all means have at it and Enjoy!👍

I wish I could find a home for this price looking like that near my work here in Sweden! But for the same money you "only" get a 3 room apartment. I mean can't really complain with that and 15-20 min to work, door-to-door depending if you use a car or commune. I would really love a house, but with prices around here that begins at 3 times that price and then goes up to absurdity I fear that will never happen :(

Hi, Sean. I live in Vancouver too! yes the housing in BC is Crazy! A home like this in Metro Van would cost somewhere between 1.7m to 2m! Even if you have a land to build the house, the cost for the building would be more than 700,000CAD! I honestly don't know why the housing in the US is so low. so yeah, maybe we're living in a parallel universe.

The reason the price of cheap is because Land is cheap in Texas and it’s easy to get flooded house and like every so they get hurricane and stuff like that . also wages isn’t big over there.

A house like this would cost 2 million in Toronto, and atleast 1.5 million a couple hours commute out of Toronto. And this house is only 40 minutes from a big city like San Antonio and so attainable. I know the states is seeing a housing price jump during covid too, but not as bad as Canada. Cant wait to get the hell out of here and move down south.

I wanted to do the same after retiring from the military. Problem is that the pricing is never this low for a home with all these extras. So plan on saving to the max because even with the VA program you'll need a lot of cash at closing (at least $7 to $20k) and very good credit ratings (close to 800) to get affordable financing.

In the UK with that price you'll get a two bedroom terrace house with one bathroom and the size of the kitchen is the same size of the closet. The garden is literally broken concrete with dump all over and a broken back yard door :)

Unfortunately these home builders have become extremely catered to those who can afford $500,000 or more (if you include all these upgrades). That's what Lennar, Kbhomes, Maddison, Century, etc have been doing all over Texas. I had to settle for a tiny house with tiny bedrooms to be able to afford one (Even as a retired veteran with excellent credit).

@Horis De La O my house in CO is 59 years old. Solid brick. Concrete floors and steel bean studs. 3400 sq feet. Bought it 8 years ago $260k. The quality is way better than what they build these new house with. Depending on what you desire. A solid house built to last or a beautiful design that will blow away in a tornado. It's now worth over $450k

I have lived in many countries. I noticed that in most luxurious homes you have a floating toilet but it seems in many US homes even the luxurious ones come with a Victorian style toilet. Curious what the reason is for it.
