Just in case no one explained yet: Elemental mastery (EM) is for the character causing the reaction, ex.: you use Amber pyro attack, then swirl it with the traveler's Anemo ability, so the traveler causing the swirl reaction is the one who should have high elemental mastery to do high damage. In case you use for instance Kaeya's cryo ability and then use Amber's pyro attack, Amber should be the one with high EM because she is the one causing the melt reaction. Elemental mastery is usually good for Anemo and Dendro (plant) characters. You should bother with artifact farming just after you reach 45 adventure rank, because it's when you start getting 5-star artifacts, the better ones.

about ruins and locations, they have a lore behind. Some books you find trough the world tell about it, some events and quest do the same. Genshin lore is HUGE and very interesting. It's really worth to deep dive into it ❤

Elemental reactions is the most important thing in this game, u may look into reactions Like vaporise which happens when u put water on fire

I like the comparison to spyro honestly, not heard of it before, but it suits it in a way. Glad your slowly getting into the story and lore via the books your reading, the lore around Durin is really cool. Congrats on beating the tutorial of the prologue, and unlocking the map, from now on, you basically can go anywhere in the map. there are some restricted story areas, and one nation that is surrounded by ocean, but apart from that, 80% of the world is open for you to run around in if you want. And yes, the main quest is locked for now, so its time to explore the world and do side quests, this is how the game breaks up the main story, you do a chapter or two, and then you do exploration and side content to grind adventure levels.

The nostalgia of being a new player. I love seeing people playing Genshin the first time. For a tip from a veteran, it's good to watch some guides on the basics for easier playthrough. There's a YT channel named Fonz who made wonderful bare basics guides (all compiled in a playlist) with very easy to digest summary of the systems and mechanics of the game. It's a good head start. One last is to try to understand and "feel" the kit of every characters. The game is overwhelming at first, depending how you take it, but it definitely gets easier the more you play it. Noelle's shield. If she hits an enemy while the shield is up, there's a chance of an amount of team wide healing. You probably know this, but ... just in case .. if you need to know details of E skill / Q burst / etc .. then check Character Info / Talents. ps: why do you get large numbers of viewers? .. because all us long term players are nostalgic for the early days of wonder and learning and like to relive the experience vicariously.

23:50 While it's not at play here, there is this one reaction that isn't taught in-game (as far as i remember) - Shatter. Basically, after you freeze someone, you can shatter them by hitting them with blunt attacks (Claymore, plunging (only with melee characters) attacks, geo attacks). Shatter deals additional Physical DMG and removes freeze on enemies. Not that used reaction but there is 1 character that does play with it, kinda 43:20 You'll have a lot to look forward to then. Tips from a veteran: The game is easy enough to play with any character you like, but you will need good equips. You will nerver need the best characters and weapows, but helps a lot. You can get good weapows from blacksmith and quests. Avoid weapown banner, focus in characters. I recomend you try to get Navia, not nilou nor weapows. She is one of the strongest DPS in the game, easy to use and build. Read the efects of characters talents. Exemple: Noelle cam heals the party when atacking with hers shield up.

Oh, you love ruins? Or, like another youtuber put it, "places that feel like you're not supposed to be there"? Then you're in for A RIDE with genshin, because it has an abundance of such places. And the majority of them have excellent environmental storytelling

Some advice I can give you in terms of building your characters, two stats you want to focus on for your main dps are crit rate and crit damage, for Noelle, mostly defense. Also don’t worry about artifact farming yet

Hi. Just stumbled across your playtrough. Kaeya is a awesome character! Yes his design is great and the new skin is even better. Level him an give him the Harbinger of Dawn and he will help you and carry you trough the Game. For early game it is the Martial Arts Set as soon AS you get it for him. I play 2 years now and to be honest,I have much chars but he is still my Main. Just a lil Tip: don't put too much effort in building Amber. She really is one of the weakest chars in the game. You will soon get Xiangling and she is waaay better. Save your resources and talent books, you will need them. Bennett is also great. And don't use your condenced Resin. Save it for after you reach AR45. You will need much to farm then. Enjoy your game!✌️😎
