@@Patricks_Projects Nah. He's an idiot. The impedance an amplifier will play does not mean anything to the amp draw. 400watts output takes 400watts input divided by the efficiency, regardless of what impedance it is making that power at. If the amp is 70% efficient, it will take 400/0.70 = 571watts on the input side. If that power is rated at 12volts, it will take 571/12 = 47.6amps of draw. That's it. If an amp. like your Rockford, has way bigger fusing, it might be an indication that it can make higher power than rated which will generally happen at lower speaker impedances BUT it is the ultimate power output that is going to determine the ultimate power draw, not what impedance the amp makes that power at. That Alpine at 600watts, assuming 65% efficiency (conservatively) and 12volts means 77amps of draw so reasonable to have 100amps of fusing.
