@@RTWC269 also I think building a water slide is cheaper then a rollercoaster why do u think six flags was spamming there parks with waterslides in the 2010s
I live 20 minutes from here, and I can’t imagine how freezing cold the water is right now. Waterparks don’t become comfortable in Wisconsin until July lol
If you think about the story being Icarus plummeting to the earth on failing wings as the wax melted from the sun.... Then the intensity of the ride makes it very tragic
I mean this tower is cool but I think the one at Cococay is a lot better because there’s also trap door slides and the slides actually have some lights in them
I personally despise the anticipation of the trap door slides so I prefer this. But I know a lot of other people like the drop so that's totally fair. Lights would have been nice too but $8 million was probably already expensive enough for the park
I am planning on going on june. I'm thinking about getting on all the slides to try them out, but this one, i feel scared, hahaha. Never really liked slides where you go by yourself without the donut floaters where you can ride with 2 or more people. How is the experience? How are the landings/ends.
@@wheelgapI week later after this comment, I went to the dells and got on the big slide. And oh boy was the way up a good exercise. When I got down I actually enjoyed it. The ride was all smooth for me but not much for the people who went first. I was told by my mom that everyone was left with a red spot on their back with pain. Even my brother also received a red spot with pain in his upper back. I guess wearing a shirt does help cause I didn't get any pain when I got done. Overall, a good terrifying experience.
@@adrianf.17 I've certainly heard some issues about lubrication. I wonder if that has to do with the abnormal layout, where the water is going slower than you. Typically you would be going from one side to another and lubricating yourself along the way. Scorpion's tail has the same issue, though the looping trapdoor slide at the Wilderness seemed to fix that. That ride has little sprayers along the ride course to lubricate the tube. I wonder if that is something that could be retrofitted on this ride at some point
Alright cool. Cuz the ride sidewinders at kalahari if you know that one, always gets water flying in my face where i cant breathe i feel and im an adrenaline junkie who wants to do everything but that ride turns me off when that happens.
Looks rather lame, like being a turd in a sewer pipe.... The vertical drop doesn't look that drastic, why not have an open trough design like Noah's Point of No Return? Or sections of clear piping to give a view of the outside on the way down?
I really liked it. It just lasts forever. The g forces near the end get really intense. And the view from the top is incredible. They also have an open flume straight drop that is better than PONR on the mid platform on the tower
The stairs are really tall, and the waterslide is very long. At 6 pm (park closed at 7 pm) the top 1/3 of the tower was full of people. The last riders of the day left at 7:10 pm! All drone footage was taken after the park closed for safety reasons
