NEW Amouage Search | Lineage | Guidance | Purpose FIRST IMPRESSIONS 

I LOVE Purpose. I can see how it's kind of a polarizing scent. Complex, piney, dry woods, incense, masculine. Smells of quality like everything else from this line.

Purpose is simply genius, awesome perfume !

This is why I love the extra channel. I love my designers, that's what got me into collecting, but I can't talk and look at them forever. This channel breaks that up. Ash, if you're reading this, thank you for making this. I've found a couple pretty good fragrances that you've talked about here

I have 13 bottles of amouage now. I still love the brand. I think the hate is unfair. Purpose is amazing. I'm getting purpose, I own boundless and enclave. I love their challenging scents like portrayal and overture, even FIGMENT... So I appreciate artistry. And I have found a fbw fragrance in every "chapter" of the Renaissance collection. Purpose absolutely fits the brief of a rugged shamanic vibe. Everyone around me loves it. Amazing high quality woods reminding me of forests and campfires leather. Wearable in more than winter as well. I have a couple amouage I can barely wear anywhere like Fate and Figment. A few more that are challenging but I love them and wear them whenever I can. I WELCOME them trying to bridge that gap between artistic and mass appealing, though I wish Chong had been kept on in some capacity at least.

This is why I enjoy watching his reviews. Honest, no BS. As a fragrance collector I purchased my fragrance at retail and as you can imagine spending $500AUD the new releases are really disappointing. Personally, I think it’s not the AMOUAGE we know and love. Good review mate

Hey Ash, I got this set in as well and I agree with your take on it! My favorite ended up being Lineage, but all in all I wasn't super excited about any of them :( Search was nice, but had no performance on me whatsoever, and at that price that's a deal breaker.

Hello dear sir, does Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman smell like Ganymede

Search smells almost identical to Vetiver by Roja Parfums. I was not a huge fan of any of these to be honest. They have all been done before by other people and are present in most products you find in the beauty aisle at target.

I've heard several sources say these were all pretty thin/weak for Amouage., with even the best of the group being kinda mediocre in the performance department.

Amouage has taken a nose dive since the new creative director stepped in.

I have a sample of Reflection that should be worn by ever body, and Inerlude that should be worn by nobody!

The hype is nonexistent lol

Lineage was my fave of the 4. Guidance way too feminine. Search is good but not worth it. And purpose is a no.

With the creative director change the amouage new perfumes are mostly nothing new

All new amouage releases are sooooooo boring and not what to expect from this power house.
