@@jonniefastit did have a socket for unibios upgrades but other than that the Analogue Neo Geo CMVS Slim was authentic SNK MVS hardware not FPGA.

the mv1c boards dont need a socket the bios just piggybacks and clips on i'm not sure why people are obsessed with it to be honest , it's literally just a cheating device 😅 i already have japan& usa mobos so i dont have any qualms with region

@@jonniefastOh yeah it was definitely expensive at $649 for the “consolized” MVS unit plus an additional $199 for each matching joystick controller. I have two Analogue CMVS Slim consoles & joysticks in ash wood with ebony finish. I don’t have an answer to why they were expensive other than obtaining the boards, testing, cleaning, repairing if needed plus the hardwoods had to be large enough to house the MVS boards after milling. Has a unique look but very similar to the actual Neo Geo AES console it’s based off of

Damn. Are all these youtubers just fakes now? Hell im just annoyed that he doesnt mention the awful sound effects with the Duo. Alot of the hitting sounds and explosions are not accurate on the Duo. Now way he didnt notice this. But nah, dont wanna make Analogue look bad. Im PISSED i spent $300 on the Duo, im a huge fan of the TurboGrafx-16. Hell i even emailed them about the awful sound effects AND even the duo sometimes randomly shutting off with some CD games. The Analogue 3D will be a HARD pass now. Hell are ANY of these 'RU-vidrs' legit anymore?

No. This system has alot of sound issues. Even with the new firmware. I WISH RU-vidrs would point out the flaws. This is ridiculous! The sound effects in alot of games are WRONG. For $300 this is a damn joke. The TurboGrafx-16 core on the openFPGA with the Pocket is ALOT more accurate!

Yup. And the inaccurate sound effects in games such a splatterhouse, legendary Axe and Keith Courage. Its obvious they dont wanna make look Analogue bad. I use to love watching this dudes videos but its sad that almost ALL of the RU-vidrs now a days are fake. Ive lost alota respect for them. Theres no way in hell this guy didnt notice the Awful sound effects with the Duo, even after the firmware update.

Yeah it took me about 5 minutes with the thing to realize Gate Of Thunder audio is screwed up. Which was a pack in title for the Duo when it came out. Kinda bad when the OpenFPGA core on the Pocket seems to be better than the Analogue Duo core. Hoping for an update…soon. I’m guessing there’s a lot of folks out there who buy stuff cause it looks good on a shelf and they don’t actually play the games.

Dude it BARELY playes TurboGrafx-16 games as it is. This dude isnt talking about the awful sound effects with the Duo. Its VERY inaccurate. Im highly disappointed in this dude and many other youtubers after they reviewed this Product

Dude I'd wait. I don't know why youtubers are avoiding the issues, I'm highly disappointed in the Duo, the sound is VERY inaccurate to a TurboGrafx-16. The openFPGA turbografx core on the Pocket is more accurate. Sound is also very low. And NOW I'm hearing of some people getting their disc's scratched by the slot loading drive, I haven't experienced it BUT there's alot of stuff about it. I can say the sound issues alone are enough reasons to avoid this system for now. I can't believe analogue is selling this for $300, and now I'm worried about even putting in a CD intot the damn thing. The sound is the biggest issue I came across, I noticed it right away, and that's AFTER the firmware update. My guess is youtubers just don't wanna point out these flaws.. for reasons.. smh ot sucks we can't really trust any of them anymore But yeah, the TurboGrafx-16 was my first system, so I was very hyped for this.... I can't believe they're actually trying to now say they're gonna release a fpga N64... smh that's gonna be a damn nightmare if they can't even get a TurboGrafx-16 correct

I have not had one issue and no scratches so far. I have played about... 9 cd based games. Not saying its not a thing - but maybe you have a defective unit.

There's nothing wrong with PCEWorks. I've bought a few games from them.
