I agree that zombies in random places seem out-of-place and unrealistic. I always had a thought like, "what the hell these guys are doing here in the far-far away field -- there aren't even any cars nearby."
I hate being stuck in limbo, I wanna play PZ but I also wanna leave off until B42 releases because I don't want to get invested in a playthrough and then have to delete all my mods lmao
42 is gonna be incredibly underwhelming and given the fact it’s gonna break mods quite literally a lesser experience until yet again modders do in weeks what these mfs haven’t done in years
@@ozylocz4078 the reason b42 took long is because they are basically rebuilding the game on a different engine to make future updates easier, it's also adding a ton of features. And yes, modders will be able to make more content because there is a lot more of them and it is a lot easier to mod a game then to actually make one
4:09 So THAT's why they all spawn on the road! Bro, the entire freaking town is always on that one street! It makes no sense. And always tanks my framerate whenever I pull up into Muldraugh because the blood stains don't wash off with rain, they only get browner. All that overdraw of tiny sprites everywhere is killing performance.
@@MarcusPausDamsgaard I’ve seen dudes pull things like this off in a week. It’s not that hard they just don’t wanna put In the effort to pay or have anything more. Pocketing 90% of the money and 10% to funding “thus” development hell
@@dorkasaurus_rex if you spent years dealing with entitled devs you’d know the history of these clowns at indie studio being pretty toxic towards the community and banning/blocking anyone who made a opinion or a statement against the devs slow development time. Often these comments are deleted but mostly back in 2014 2015 era they were actively going out cussing and calling people out for politely asking questions about the game. I enjoy the game myself personal but the devs can go get fucked. Whichever ones it was at one point claimed they had mental health issues and so they harassed people online and made a sorry claim and then briefly deleted it. It was years ago so I can’t find any evidence on it these days. Lol
I can see fishing being useful, but the rest of the animals probably won't matter much. Especially when you can survive forever off of canned food. More cars, guns, and craftables, plus bug fixes is more important.
I don't get why some pz players stick to the normal preset difficulty and then say the game is "too easy" Like you have a whole sandbox mode where you can make the game as harf or easy as you want.
I backed up a bunch of save files to a USB that were years old that were probably begun around build 38 and the game doesn't recognise them anymore, 100s of hours lost! any idea how to restore them to working condition
Not too sure mate, other than browsing reddit for some answers, I'd probably try comparing the files to a current save to see if theres any missing files possibly?
There were some attempts to implement simple porting (the "Character Save" mod). Still, such stuff is always going to be shaky, considering the devs may change the implementation at any moment. The implementation means item IDs, item dimensions, remove some old items and buildings, add some new ones, add new traits, remove or rework the old ones, etc. The task is very similar to a huge data migration with tons of tables, columns and particular values within cells. It's possible to do such a migration, but, probably, devs don't want to waste tremendous amount of time for providing the feature. The feature itself should be based on tons of mappings (even if you want to just [correctly] port your inventory) and the number of mappings is going to increase with builds to come...
None of these things beside the lighting improvement, is something you just fix and dont even add as a note. I better be able to sit on a fucking chair in B42. Fucking devs taking 3 years to make a QOL patch.
This update feels like they're saying "Build 42 is coming, we promise. 😉😉 *nudge nudge*" In all seriousness, it will be nice when it does finally release.
I can't wait for the Build where we will have a living breathing Knox County on SP with NPCs having their own camps and giving out missions, much like in Days Gone or Dying Light. An endless open world zombie apocalypse game. True you can get that in MP but I also would love it in SP.
MP people are also mostly "Kill first ask questions later" kinda people from my experience, So i'd love to have a non modded way to have NPC survivors chilling in camps and buildings
I have basically one mod what I would miss and that is the naked mode where you and zombies can dressed but naked. Other than that the one mod I really use (beyond map mods) are the basic crafting mod what I altered a bit to my needs so I can make tons of stuff for myself. There are nice backpack looks, car mods, repair mods and so on also the superb survivors what I currently not using. Other than this the double sized team is a good sign for the game and future updates. The game is basically complete and a lot of mods adds things what really could be in the game and once the game gets a direction then these could be integrated. I prefer my game modded by me to figure out what works.
There will probably be the small group or lone zombie in the middle of the field here and there, but why would it make sence for every inch of the map to be crawling with them, I don't want to see 4 groups of 3+ zombies in the middle of noware, it makes no sense.
@@carljohanson3895 but they never are in every inch of the map?? Uniform distribution does that but not the default Urban. Playing B41 right now I never ever see zombies in the middle of a farm or some random forest. Imo it's more unrealistic for zombies just to stay in towns and not spread out over time. This will create so much boredom when you have a forest base as there will be ZERO insentive to build defenses
I'm unironically not ready for build 42. I waited so long, gave up and learned to enjoy modded 41, only for build 42 to be *actually* coming. New heat map looks great. It'll definitely change how you loot. Freeing up the roads means you can set up make shift killzones there to bunker down and kill the zombies you attract from the POIs.
I dont think so its gonna be very similar early game but I think late game is more different but at launch B41 will be better for mods but mods will devlope for B42
Exactly this @@excinty7470 I don't why everyone is saying "build 42 is going to be worse because no mods", like it's not like all the modders up and left I'm sure theyll make mods for 42
@@ThatOneKid5323 its gonna take atleast 2 weeks after release, yet they said they wont add multiplayer on a start of B42, so... I hope they put b42 in IWBUMS beta branch untill multiplayer released.
