I recommend the manga, but tbh not the anime 🥲 they turned something that's rated NC16 into PG-13 (especially the art style & direction). It's a great story, just that the animation company failed to deliver. However, this opening is insanely iconic in the anime community.
It's ironic that Studio Pierrot, an animation studio infamous for adding filler and way *too much* to their shows, refused to do the bare minion when making Tokyo Ghoul. They cut out so many scenes and moments that the series is almost unrecognizable. I'd much rather have filler than an incomplete story...
If you liked this you should really check out Jonathan Young's version of the song he made, fully rewritten in english with his own instruments and mixing and sung by him; his version really makes it hit different since you can fully understand what he's saying without having to read the lyrics and i feel like his lower voice is better for a dark themed song like this one.

yes, give tokyo ghoul a shot BUT i recommend reading the manga first and thennnn the anime. the manga is a very good read, and the anime completely separated from the source material and ruined the story. the anime doesnt do it justice WHATSOEVER, the manga is SO much better

While RWBY isn't technically an anime, the ost slaps. Get a taste of it by reacting to all the openings. Then you can find the ost lyric videos on channels like FlyntofRwby and Sirs and Madams Entertainment. The music is all made by one man, and ninety percent of the vocals are done by his daughter. Who by the way was 14 years old when she recorded songs for the first season. And she's only gotten better.
Attack on Titan, yep its really good. For season 1,2,3, right now s4, personally im not digging it anymore. Maybe it's just me, but i feel there's no more fire to keep going with the series. Maybe i just happen to already read enough informations to how things works and history in AoT world. If you said you're watching aot and sao, both these 2 anime are the same. Long series, too much hype at first. Due to long hiatus, kinda falls off with no concrete plot ahead, basically just prolonging the production.
Some anime stories are miles better than current day movies and dramas.. (Try death note ..i swear after a few episodes you would definitely love it..and it's only 37 episodes in total..not forcing you though😆) and appreciate your honesty..that u just started watching animes

I don't recommend the anime Didn't do the art justice and the story got fucked in season 2 only watch tokyo ghoul:re (aka final season) Manga is the way to go to know tokyo ghoul
