Very interesting info here. It looks like Twinstar made a lot of new choices here that might ultimately come down to preference when examining v2 and v3. Very happy to see the built-in intensity adjustments.

Purchased the 600C III. I have never had a TWINSTAR before it. - Version 2 has more lumens ( 2200 ) vs Version 3 ( 2056 ) for the 600C model. The diffuser of the V2 is more opaque than V3. On the V3, you can clearly make out the LEDs in the video, not so with the V2. This leads me to believe the V2 has brighter or better LEDs than the V3. TWINSTAR C III info: - Press and HOLD the dimmer button to bring the light to max brightness. - After loss of power, the light appears to retain the set dimness level. (can you imagine if it didn't?) V3 Drawbacks: - The metallic blue plastic on the ends of the light and legs feels brittle & light. Mine arrived undamaged, but I felt I had to be careful when setting up the legs (the texture feels like eggshells). - The dimmer button has no indication of what level or % it is at. There may be 7 levels or something, but my light came with no instructions or paperwork at all. How should I know? Other thoughts: After watching this review... - I would prefer the height of V2. - I would prefer the material quality of V2. - I would prefer the TWINSTAR logo on my light, as the V2 has, to earn me more Instagram clout. - I would prefer a width between the V2 & V3 (added room could accompany the logo I want). - I prefer the material color of the V2. - I think the bends, & the way the stand assembles for V3 is an improvement and preferred, just with plastic bits that are clear & more durable (think V2). - I prefer the silver/clear power cord of the V3. I think TWINSTAR has cut significant manufacturing cost between V2 and V3. And is charging the same $$$ for an inferior product. TWINSTAR HMU if you want a light review lmao

I think many valid points here. Lumens is a measurement of brightness to the human eye and doesn't actually relate to the strength of the light. Common misconception. The new V3 is actually more powerful having a higher PAR value. The build quality on the edges definitely isn't as good as the previous version but everything else is great. I think in the end its a choice between colour spectrum and the dimming button. I have tested many lights from twinstar and I think I would chose this over the V2 in the end 😊 Hope that helps

good thing you have it on video. You should file a complain. Also I agree with the pre-setting thing. I dont need any toys that let me change the colors

This product was gifted to me by Twinstar. It traveled a long distance and this wouldnt happen if bought from a store or at least it would be very unlikey to happen

Can we use this lights on a custom 80 cm planted tank as such Twinstar dont have any option for light between 70 to 80 cm

The adjustable width is 600 to 700mm for this light. You may have to use an alternative lighting unit with a hanging kit

Yeah I think so! Nowadays most planted aquarium lights will grow almost all carpets. Co2 would be important for Cuba

Hello, I have a question: is an LED lamp absolutely necessary in a water turtle aquarium? Because I have brown algae that have appeared since the impoundment of his new aqua and it's impossible to get rid of it.. the aqua is not directly under sunlight for your information Thanks in advance !

Hi, I dont keep turtles and I think this question should be asked to someone with a bit more knowledge keeping them. I believe turtles require UVB bulbs but you should confirm this with an expert. As for brown algae it is a diatomaceous algae which appears during the initial cycling phase of an aquarium and normally disappears

@@JordanStirrat thanks ! Yeah I already have the UVB lamp for her :) it was more about the brown algae wich is a nightmare for me and I think that a LED lamp to cycle the water is necessary but need a confirmation before buying one 😊

@@Skylaar78 you don't cycle the water, you cycle the biological system in your filter and substrate etc. There is actually very little bacteria in the water compared to the other surfaces in a system. A light is not needed for this. A light is only a requirement for plants or to view your aquarium / livestock
