ARCTIC has done an excellent job with the BioniX P120 A-RGB fans. The colors are really cool and the connections are also well thought out. I'm curious how loud they are with different settings.
thanks bud, that video will come out soon, please stay tuned. And yeah, they did a good job, with a few issues of which I will go over as well. Thanks so much for your support.
Great video. I'm new to PC building, have a 3 pin connector on my MB you saved me from purchasing the wrong fans, I was looking all around RU-vid for a good review! This helped me a lot!
Thanks my friend, I believe we make the good videos because we are trying to get big and value our viewers, unlike the big guys who are big and don't really care about their viewers. I plan to value you, my viewer as long as I have a channel, no matter how big I get, because without you, my viewer... there is no channel.
being that this is an unboxing (I show you everything that comes in the box) and I show you how they work... you think watching the video would answer your question?
Thanks my friend, you will see on Friday the build video, where I do the cable management of the video I just released monday, its nuts but turns out great. thanks for your support. more coming soon on this.
Hi Vincent, you seem to be a representative of Arctic. Just wanted to say I bought a pack of 3 P120 ARGB. One of them isn't even spinning but lights up. Trying changing orientation (first to second to third) on the chain etc. Gotta say, pretty disappointed with the QC.
@@jivk.8928 I am actually the technical director :) Please get in touch with our support team from the form you have in the online manual. they will assist you for an exchange.
@@VincentAndre_HK Thanks, I'll give it a shot. So far, my experience with German companies is that everyone in their sales team speaks English. But when it comes to warranty/problems, suddenly no one understands English. (Looking at O2, 1und1).
In my opinion these fans look way better than Lian Li’s fans that everybody’s raving about. I just don’t like the rgb pattern on them. These are not quite as simple to connect together, but they are easy enough. One thing I found odd is connecting argb fan hub into non argb connector, but I guess they had to do that way for some reason. Great video enjoyed watching. Bought two packs of these.
I like them too and you are 100% correct, they are not easy to connect, after you figure it out, its a little easier, but being that this is their first iteration, they will make the 2.0 version better. Yes, this is to help older machines with compatibility issues, so that everyone can have ARGB. Thanks bud, so very happy I could help you, hopefully you used my link in the description or pinned comment to buy them, it will help a bit, but if not, not worries, it literally is a few cents, but hey, 100 pennies makes a dollar ;) Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out the video, even more for commenting, it means the world to me.
For anyone looking to use this fans as radiator fans. You guys gotta either talk to arctic and wait for them to get back to ya or you can order m3 35mm screws.
@@Angel_Espinal yeah I would assume most would, but good, I just wanted to make sure you got them. Is there a chance you could measure the screw and let me know how long it is?
@@ThisBytesForYou my separate comment states that, the screws that were sent to me are M3 35MM. The screws that were sent, they're referred to as "Cheese Head" screws, with a #2 Phillips Head fitting.
yeah they are pretty awesome, but I just got them yesterday so I haven't had much of a chance to play with them just yet to know for sure. Stay tuned ;)
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by to check out the video, like and sub as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me. At 12today EST, in 4 hours, I will release a wiring guide that includes these fans. Since you are subbed, make sure to click on the notification bell so you get notified when the video releases.
I assume the led diffusion is better irl, right? I hope thats the case, same thing happened w my corsair vengeance pros, I initially avoided them but im glad I got them.
you are correct, I let them know earlier today, just waiting to hear back to see what is going to be done, but this is their first entry into RGB, I am assuming they made them beefier to accommodate for that but let's see what they say.
Yes, that was and overlook from us, we are preparing longer screws for any customer who will request them to our customer support. they will be sent free of charge. It will be included in next production batch.
Hey Bytes, can you help me with the RGB Lighting? I plugged the Fans like you did, but its is only addressable wi th the Remote. I Want it to be addressable with my AURASync. Please Help
@@ThisBytesForYou ARGB is 3 pin connector(5v) RGB is 4 pin (12v) Your mobo is not supporting ARGB i assume. When you open AURA and say lets do rainbow... where is the rainbow? You are just cycling true colors. In sync yes, but thats it.
@@awasov they can both be changed with RGB software and they can both be in sync, kinda like Stephen and Steven, they sound the same but are spelled differently, you will lose some functions obviously going from a 4 pin to a 3 pin, but the RGB part is the same. Yes, both the Asus 570 ROG Crosshair Viii Hero and the Asus B550-F WIFI have Standard RGB headers and Addressable Gen 2 RGB headers so I am good there and as I get more boards to review, I am sure they will have the same. I have both pins covered.
It would come from your power supply, you would have at least 2 strands with either 2 or 3 heads, so you should have some... If not I can recommend some adapters
@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks for the reply, but can you tell me if the ring is on the side that blows air or sucks in air? I'll check your other videos if I can get a better look at your setup with these fans.
@@takeit1229 the ring is on the side that sucks air through it, so it would be on the front of your case, it would be on the inner portion of your liquid cooling unit, the portion in the case, so you can see it, and it would be on the inside of the rear of your case, each place you would see it. In the front, you wont see it in the inside of thr case, but if you have a mess or glass front panel, you will see it. I hope that helps.
@@ThisBytesForYou Yes! Thank you. So these are best setup as exhaust fans unless you have a mesh front. I have the O11 and wanted to use them as side intake, but sounds like the ring will be facing towards the back panel.
@@takeit1229 just know that the screws that these come with are not good for liquid cooling units, you need to contact Arctic and they will send you correct ones though. They will work perfectly fine either way, they will just provide more light inside the case as exhaust but will still shine inside the case as intake, just not as bright as it will be a reflection.
Hi ! I bought these fans, one single and one bundle but like you apparently, I don't have longs screws for radiator. I don't have my computer with me and for few days and it's the first time that to install fan to my computer case. So, I don't know, how can fix it. Is it possible to you, to explain how you have fix it ? It's very nice video with a easy English (yes I'm a French ^^) Thank you very much ;)
they did not include long screws in this but I mentioned it to them and they will be including them, they should have already, I would recommend emailing their support, I am sure they can help you and thank you so much for your kind words, it means a ton to me. Thanks also checking out my video, liking and subbing, thanks so much for the support.
Hola amigo cubano :) You already know which led chip these fans use. It is possible to remove the white case for modification. I told you on twitter. Thanks
de nada amigo, si no he respondido por el próximo viernes, por favor recuérdame, mi memoria es horrible. Lo escribiría, pero olvidaría donde lo escribí jaja
yes, this is Arctic's first ARGB fan, so it's a good start, Arctic has always focused on cooling and I guess they got that perfect, now they need to work on little features like this. I hope you enjoyed the video though, I had to rush and make this late last night.
Excuse me, what? Glad you edited the previous "stupid" one out, but he seemed to have liked the comment. Why do you think I would have answered that question that way? Think for a second? As for inappropriate, you ever comment on some other tech channel... chances are you will not get a reply and since this is something I am currently working on, I can't give too much information, cuz then the video is pretty worthless right? Who's comment was inappropriate?
I just bought the Arctic Freezer 35 Argb without realizing that my x470 Gaming Plus doesn't have an ARGB header. Is there any chance I can add this bundle and use 2 case fans + the CPU cooler and control the ARGB lighting through the hub + remote? I'm guessing that without an ARGB header on the mobo, I won't be able to connect the Arctic Controller to it, so Mystic Light is out of the question. Am I right or wrong?
@@ThisBytesForYou So without ARGB on the mobo, there's no point in getting the controller either. :) Thx. That's one less expense for me. Still keeping the cooler tho, works damn fine.
@@ThisBytesForYou You connected it to a 12V 4pin RGB header as it was meant to be used. It does not work with 3pin ARGB headers. The hub „translates“ the „RGB“ into an ARGB-signal. Your motherboard has 2 ARGB (3 pin) headers and 2 RGB (4 pin) headers. I assume your RAM is plugged into a 3 pin header.
@@autobus11a ah ah ah, I see what you mean, thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, you are right, the 12v is older vs the 5v and not technically ARGB but I think they were going for compatibility and for those people that did not have newer headers which is why they include the remote, for mass appeal. You can see I didn't use the remote, I used the Aurous software to control the lighting. So outside of the remote, since you can control it through the software, it is addressable RGB controls, so Arctic fibbed i guess but yeah, it is not technically ARGB since it does not utilize a 5v header though it is their first foray into RGB so perhaps on their next gen they will correct some of the issues found in this, that I also mentioned to them and they promised to address. Thanks so much for replying I thought you were just going to drop the comment and run, sadly like most do not allowing for an intelligible conversation.
Fridays video will be wiring a system with it.... I have so many new things in this build it becomes really challenging, and my current video for returning subscribers shows me building with them... its pretty unique. More on this soon, stay tuned my friend.
Hello my friend I want ask ,I have mobo msi b450 tomahawk max ( rgb slot 12v) I wana buy this fans ( artict a-rgb). If I’ll put this fans in my mobo They will work properly; plz answer
if you buy the kit (the 3 fans I have listed in my description), yes, it will work, but not the single fan. your motherboard does not have argb headers (that I see). With the kit, it brings a controller and a hub for you to control with the remote. Also, you will notice, I answer all my comments. Asking a channel to answer that does not answer any comments, will not get that channel to respond.
@@ThisBytesForYou in 2 days I’ll have this kit 3) on my home , do you have any video how can set this fans on mobo with no argb header ? ( my mobo is tomahawk max ) I have to do like you the set expect not to put the pin on rgb header ? Just sata ?
@@mrtelis5093 yes, you dont have to use the header, you can just use the fan plugs. If you buy the set like I do, it comes with an RGB controller that you can plug them into, if you dont have ARGB in your machine.
@@ThisBytesForYou I bought the set 3 today I set up like you all work fine , 😊I didn’t put on rgb header on mother board nothink , there is any way to use the program like mystic light to change colours etc ? ( argb gans Arctic / b450 tomahawk max mb
Hello, really good video. I want to buy new fans because my current ones are stock and extremely loud. There is one thing I am confused about. You connected the fans to the controller hub and then used the 4-pin regular rgb header to connect it to the motherboard, yet were able to control rgb leds with software. HOW? Isn't it that you can control rgb via software only with the 3-pin a-rgb header? In the video you say this is what you are using, but the header has 4 wires and it says 12V on the motherboard, so it's standard rgb. Thanks in advance
Yes for sure, but you will need to get different screws, I recommend talking to support. Being that I reviewed this I brought to their attention that the current screws will not fit a radiator, they are including new screws, but I don't know if the one you will has those screws.
Thanks bud, so very happy you enjoyed the video and I do appreciate your support. Yeah, they are a little expensive, not by much but they are nice. Where are you going to be attaching them to?
yes, but it is a controller/hub so that you can control it with the remote if you did not ARGB headers and so that you can connect multiple fans if you wanted, instead of 1 per ARGB header.
something is not right here, they spin from 2000-2500 RPM have noise lvl at 29 dB are 10 years warranty in europe and cost 19€. this specs are better then Noctua NF-A12x25
@@ThisBytesForYou I never really looked into their products. Under closer inspection, this fan on paper is a bit worse then noctua counter part, but 10 year manufacturer warranty is insane I must say.
Arctic has always been know to make amazing, durable and affordable components, noctua does a good job though I cannot speak for their longevity though. Arctic has been around forever too.
Got me 2x set of these but i dont understand the wires at all, wanted 3x top, 3x front. They gave only 2x wires to go from fan to hub, but it is set of 3x fans ???? dafuk. The wire between fan to fan is way too short, and the angle is fkked up, if you want the logo sticker pointing up... Sigh... Not that many ringfans with controller, dont like to use software at all.
@@ThisBytesForYou Does not solve the problem, the wire between fans is too short, and the connector ports are not on the same side. Totaly idiotic design. When you are modding your computers, your components must be in line with eachother or there is no point. Goin for RMA, i still should have the window, or if the store has me 2x extra wires to reach the hub. Why there is 3x ports on the hub if they dont give 3x wires for it ? (Learned to always keep the packet materials.) I have multiple computers and never had this type of issue. First time attempting to mod with theme in mind.
yeah, you would have seen in the video, I had similar issues, it was a decent first implementation, but it missed a few marks. Give me a good old fashioned aRGB fan and I am happy. Yeah, I try to keep everything, until I know I don't need it anymore, then I might toss it (my wife will tell you different). A little less moddy, but these might be up your alley: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m0d3Xs5c4Ps.html
@@ThisBytesForYou Wanted to see what others think on this product too in comments, now i know in hindsight what to look for. Trying to be perfectionist on this current build in mind. They made the chain horizonticly, but fans always been verticly, you do notice the little things in the long run if you are attempting setup wars style. Now thinkin Enermax or Bequiet, have my mind set on ring fans, black n red. Ive used DeepCool fans many times, couse they give proper wires and adapters with, but sadly they dont make ring version.
yeah kinda cool how someone doesn't know everything just yet during an unboxing huh, on a2 year old video, but you can see how I build using it, where I connect them into each other with those pins: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cHps_f44Ifs.html
not sure, as they did not come with longer screws when I received this to review, but they just let me know new ones comes with longer screws, if they did not come for you you can contact Arctic and they can help you.
@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks, I ordered 2 of these yesterday and neither came with longer screws. I tried contacting Arctic but nobody has replied the ticket so far.
@@ThisBytesForYou They got back to me early in the morning today. They gave me a tracking number and claim to have sent 24 screws, I told them beforehand what cooler I had hopefully they get the right screws.
argb is 3 pin and non addressable is 4 pin. The controller plugs into non addressable rgb I think he just said addressable when he meant non addressable. Great video!
@@eus105611 yes, that is correct, the controller however is addressable, that it brings (if you buy the one with the controller) which means it is great for systems that have RGB or ARGB because the remote can help. Thanks so much for your kind words.
like you have already read and surely are commenting on, these fans and fans like them usually don't bring radiator screws, a radiator in a liquid cooling unit would but actually because of my mention to Arctic about it, they are making those screws and including them. Let me know if that is what you were going to comment on and I answered your next statement?
it would be 100% the same as you last saw me do, I did a few test streams to find the perfect mix of performance along with bandwidth requirements and settings.
@@Macauley7272 you should yes, but have you tried it on the new install of windows, or the old install? If i doesn't work, it should fail and drop you back to your desktop with a message, it won't bluescreen.
on which part? Also, being that I got it last minute, I had to rush to make this video, before I had to go to sleep to wake up the next morning for my day job, I have 2 jobs. I prepare my area, record the video, do multiple takes, edit the video, create the thumbnail, upload the video, prepare it for youtube and schedule it across my many forms of social media, this all takes HOURS, not a few seconds. Being that the fan launches today..... I had to get it out quick. Did that answer your question? Did you enjoy the video?
