I think if you would use a hand towel and wipe the tire prior to driving, it would likely solve the slinging issue. Removing excess seems like a good idea.
I've been using the ceramic coating for several months and love it. However I don't just spray it on and leave it. After applying I wipe it with a wax pad to even it out and pick-up excess product. No fling and the tires are nice and black without that dreaded wet look. This lasts for weeks! I also use it on any black plastic trim even matt finishes by spraying on a wax pad and spreading. I agree the spray nozzle and trigger leave a lot to be desired. I love this product!
I used this tire coating two times on my two SUVs ,. I actually commented that it is great stuff . Well, after about two weeks I will say that the tires looked great but I also noticed that the rims had lots of over spray and the sling was much more obvious on the side of my white car, The overspray was pretty tough to get off the rims and there was lots of it. If I use this again , I will blue tape the wheels to prevent overspray which I'm sure will be easier then cleaning the mess off . As far as shine and durability goes I give the product a thumbs up after a solid week of rain and wet roads and at least a month of the product being on the tires they still look great.
I am really curious if this truly repels dirt. Most sealants hold dirt like no tomorrow. At least that has been my experience. I am looking forward to the next video.
I used the wheel cleaner on my chrome wheels it left a weird dull glaze I had to put in some real elbow Grease to get them back to a shine. I wasn't happy with the wheel cleaner
The Tire isn’t clean. It still has a brown tint to it. The Tire should require a complete cleaning before applying the Ceramic so the that Ceramic adheres to the tire.
Hate to say it but you applied way too much tire coating. I used it on 8 tires so far, just enough to cover, not to gloss it. All 8 tires look like they were just installed and looking great. I really don't think this is meant to be your typical tire gloss crap. I actually like the way they came out. I only used 1 coat, two would probably give it the gloss. If you have done ceramic coating, a little goes a VERY long way.
I tried this combo, and am not impressed. After using the vehicle for a couple of weeks, I've found the dirt and brake dust are stuck in a smearing film and is difficult to remove. Between the lackluster results and the less than convenient application process, this product is a 'no' from me.
No way , I got overspray of the tire coating on my wheels and in about two weeks the rims looked terribly dirty and getting it off was a tough job. If anything , if I use the coating again I will cover the wheels with blue tape and newspaper which should be easier then cleaning the wheels of this stuff !
This is garbage! Looked great the first time I used it but after the second wash it left a brown rust like film on the wheels which I am still trying to remove. Steer clear of this product!!
I’m sorry but no detailer worth anything would ever recognize this as an actual ceramic product. They used that word for hype. And I wouldn’t touch anything by them.
