@@krazy88korean yeah, red/green, purple/blue...the list goes on. Like you, I can see the colors, just can't determine what color they are. In RC, what gets me is wire colors, paint on shock springs, and LED lights on electronics......the famous "wait for green light". Seriously??
@@TheRCNetwork I have learned to just assume that any red lights will not have the same intensity as green lights. What confuses most people is that healthy grass is what I would call an orange.
My GF and I are considering this for our first "shared" car. We do share our seperately owned cars but wanna split the cost of our next car to afford a better one. This looks like it'll be good as an allround car for driving in rough terrain and skate parks and stuff.
I try and keep it concise and to the point....as a viewer, I'm like you....I hate the new trend of these "live" videos that are 1, 2, 3 hours. I don't have time for that. This video started before editing at 13 minutes......al edited up right over 8. That's winning right there..I bought you 5 minutes of your life back!
great video. I legit just ordered one through your link for my wife. I like 3s and also like the power switch on the radio. That way I can let my wife work out to 100%. She is good with a crawler but just can not figure out the speed part. Also gives me an other truck to play with. I had a 4s outcast and enjoyed it a lot. Sold it but sorta miss it. This should be fun.
Not sure.....I'd check the part numbers on the chassis first...Senton might be a bit longer....Otherwise, It should just be body mounts and that's it then
@@francostacy7675 a few reasons - 1/10th scale are smaller, lighter, easier to control and usually cost less. 1/8th are the opposite - obviously larger, heavier and priced higher usually with higher spec’d components. Beginners will go through a phase of breaking their RC due to poor driving/learning. 1/10th scale is cheaper (usually) to fix and will keep the new RC owner still in the hobby.
I like all size rc's but 1/10 is great cause it only needs 1 battery, cheap parts /entry price and because they are lite weight they are durable, portable, easy to work on and can be enjoyed in a small space.
I have the big Rock, The Vorteks is 287MM (11.3") wheelbase The Big Rock is 327MM (12.87") , BR is about 1.5" longer wheelbase. Hope this helps, BTW the Granite is the same wheelbase (same chassis) as the Votreks
I need the 1/10 scale. Outside the U.S. a lot of RC circuits set their track limits to 1/10. 2S and 3S is perfect because AGAIN, they may even say "Okay the size is okay, but 2S is the limit". I just worry about those plastic outdrives. Hopefully, Aftermarket will come with a solution for that.
NO! The gears are NOT steel. They are still plastic. The “heavy duty steel input” is solely in reference to the little metal piece the center driveshaft connects to. The Steel gears are all jet black
@@TheRCNetwork very much agreed. Hopefully they’ll put in metal gears on the 4s RTRs or something. If you’re curious these are the steel gear part numbers 310886 310885 310772 (required differential cup)
Does it really has all steel gears? If you look at the website it looks like its the same input and diff gear as the other 3S cars. Parts numbers in the manual is also for the plastic gears.
I'm going off of the box, which states it has "37t, 1.35mod diff metal gears" and "heavy duty steel input and 1.35 mod 37/13t gears. I didn't have access to any specs prior to today
Its 1/5 Bajas all day over here!!😂🤘Ok ok, diggin the Purple! I have a Arrma Granite 4x4 3s BLX its fun and quick but dislike how short the wheelbase is.
@@TheRCNetwork omg you do not have 1/5 Baja of any style?! 😱 whole new experience over all 1/7 1/8 1/10 etc rigs! Infact you can make onw brushless if ya didnt want to do gas yet, i have a KM Baja 5B EVO 8S "juicy fruit" w/a Hobbywing V3 Max 5 200Amp w/ a 960KV its a torque monster faster than any stock gas baja i have videos of it decimating everything on my channel you should come check it out i also work with Rcmax just.finished a worlds first Rcmax dual splashed Supreme 55 Big Bore Baja its so epic!😎🤘 any questions you may have about 1/5 and the Baja platform feel free to ask brother!🤝
All metal gearing? Only in the servo, the diffs are the exact same as the Granite, Senton (3s), Typhon (3s) and the Big Rock. Both the pinion and ring are plastic gears, though the diff pinion is a Hybrid with a metal shaft, connecting to the driveshaft. I have the big rock and looked it up, the exact same part numbers. also the chassis is the exact same as the Granite, so a tire and body swap instant Vorteks. I am not saying this to knock on it, I have the Big Rock and I love it. But you are are not telling the truth, on the all metal gears. The only places where the gears are metal are in the servo, pinion (motor) and inside the diffs. Anyone doesn't believe me, there is an exploded view available on Arrma's site for all three. I looked at it (Granite, Big Rock and Vorteks), the part numbers are identical. As I said, got no beef with Arrma (Love mine), just saying this guy is not telling the truth, There is a steel pinion/diff and a spur gear options, but they are not STOCK. Also don't let the plastic diffs dissuade you, Mine haven't popped or slipped any at all and I'm running 3s, they are fine
@@mybusiness6125, On their site, there is exploded interactive (click on the Part Numbers) views for all of the vehicles offered, I looked at the part numbers they all match. Like I said, this wasn't to knock Arrma at all, I have one (Big Rock) and love it. Not one single problem with it, other than my rusty soldering skills. Hit a tree tore a chunk out of the tree, but nothing bent or broke. I only wanted people, that watch this to know His comment of all metal gears was incorrect, though metal options exist
I like 1/8 scale however there is a serious lack of 1/8 scale tracks around me which is why I have more 1/10 scale. In saying that, nobody at the 1/10 track would appreciate me or anybody else rocking up with this 1/8 truck pretending to be a 1/10 truck. Fan on motor is a great touch. Plastic chassis and drive shafts? Uhh not for me
Have been looking for one am kicking myself I should have bought the axial yeti score trophy truck when they were out now can't find one and I don't know what one to get it's so depressing
HPI has been back like 12 times since they "left". I still doubt we will ever have the old HPI ever back....they were located about 5 miles from my house
I'll stick to my rustler 2wd lol. It looks nice but there's soooo much plastic, even the pivot balls, like come on. Those shocks would be the first to go. Can't stand unthreaded shocks and def all plastic is a no no for me. I have GTR's on my rustler.
I'm sure China has a $1.99 RC...but why would you support that? Buy from a reputable brand and support a local shop if possible. The return on investment will be plentiful.
I'm going off of the box, which states it has "37t, 1.35mod diff metal gears" and "heavy duty steel input and 1.35 mod 37/13t gears. I didn't have access to any specs prior to today.....but some of the fancy wording techniques could navigate to a plastic bevel still.
I checked everything on Arrma website 😀 : Steel input means that it has steel shaft, but the gears are plastic (it doesn't mean they are junk, they really hold up well 🙂 ) 3s and 4s diffs are the same 🙂 Vorteks also has plastic spur gear, like all other 3s cars 🙂
I prefer RCs that are in running condition! 1/10th or 1/8th doesn't matter.... which ever out of my fleet that's running at the moment..... I'm kidding gimme 1/8th scale e-truggy 😀
@@TheRCNetwork Tekno, Losi, Mugen, or Team Associated. Those are tier 1...Kyosho, Serpent, HB, Agama tier 2... Arrma, Traxxas make great Bashers and are more RTR & beginner friendl.. meant to answer JfeelGood 👍🏾 I have Serpent Cobra 811te RTR- kinda pricey for RTR, but I'd probably should gotten Kraton for the driving i do
I never said it was a competition stadium truck....as you know (most) comp stadium trucks are 2wd, well at least the classes are. I did mention the ET410, and the Rustler 4x4, because I was thinking of what other 4wd stadium type of trucks there currently were.
That would be cool....as well as an improvement to the driveshafts - maybe making them traditional steel CVD style. I doubt that Arrma would do a kit though
AVC is "Active Vehicle Control" - it's a gyro built inside the receiver and it's controlled by the old "Dual Rate" switch on your radio. Basically if your RC starts veering left, it will will correct with right steering input to keep you straight. The dial can either turn up the response or turn down the response or amount of correction
