The game might be good but doesn't mean the criticism is invalid. Especially when they say they want to be historically accurate but they change the fuck out of it. The hypocrisy kills most of the people's enthusiasm but then everybody buys it, so Ubisoft doesn't change at all. As long as it's not like Valhalla or Odyssey where it's just mma shit happening all the time instead of assassination and stealth, I'd be pleasantly ok with the game
At the same time apparently she also turned off the sound cause opening and closing a wooden door/gate makes a decent amoung of noise but apparently the guard is deaf and blind idk how he got that job

Back in the day I’m sure he wanted to be a PT or his wife was one one but they were both gym fanatics so he’s always had that muscle memory as he was in shape a some years back. He has been losing weight quite gradually if you look at the videos. Plus he has a home gym and there is a massive hype on the carnivore diet atm which puts you into ketosis and that’ll make you lose body fat very easily if you’re consistent with it.
As much as i love a traditional AC, I love when they go outside of the box like they did with odyssey making us a demi god, black flag making us a "pirate" and valhalla making us a viking. I been wanting a samurai for so long man. Especially after all these other great samurai games that have released!

there should be at least one isu artifact in Japan at the time, plus Shao Jun trained the founding members of Japanese brotherhood of assassins awhile before the game starts so Naoe is definitely going to be directly tied to the brotherhood itself! also in established lore, Oda Nobunaga who Yasuke works for was an ally to the brotherhood but betrayed them later and was assassinated, so i'm curious what they'll do with that

No knock on you but I have zero interest in this game. I’ve play creed from the beginning and have been waiting for Japan this whole time and they did this. They had the entirety of Japanese history and they pick a black dude that’s barely documented. They had so many historical Japanese figures and they picked this dude that nobody knows about. I would have been super stoked for a Zulu creed game in Africa but nope they did this shit. I’m done

this really feels like the cinematics were more focused than the actual game itself. Now, this is not the finished product, but wouldn't want all the focus on the visuals than the actual gameplay itself. If that makes sense

I just wish they abandon the rpg style. I can see her climbing, jumping and landing animations are the same as the previous rpg AC's. AC Hexe will probably be like this too.
As cool as it looks it still seems like Ubisoft is trying to over-evolve the AC games, and although this game is an amazing return from the trashy Origins and Valhalla it still seems far from the original games in the way the combat is. The stealth is amazing but it seems like it is dependent on the use of tools rather than the true assassin way of using cover and parkour to get close to enemies, where in this game you use a chain with a knife on the end to fly 20 feet towards an enemy... Still excited though
Naoe being a Ninja will give you the old feeling of the Assassin's Creed gameplay while Yasuke being a Samurai will give you the feeling of the new Assassin's Creed gameplay

That’s great they choose syndicate crew for this one .. because last ac i have played, completed and liked was syndicate .. they definitely improved graphics and animation this time .. specially being in shadow .. only part I didn’t like the other guy.. they should have just made this story only based on female character.. and other thing they did wrong is only in ps5 .. that will have effect on sale …. They should have made this for both platforms.. so they can have more profit especially after having too many losses from previous titles.. AC fan
Ghost of Tsushima is way better. But here in AC the combat animation slows down whenever they raise the weapon overhead to attack just like spiderman game, to make it look cool, but it just takes away the fast paced thrill. Ghost of Tsushima combat is fast paced which is what makes the game enjoyable and immersive.
I get where you're coming from. I'm already getting massive ghost of tsushima vibes from this one, it's basically a copy. But I think they'll probably crank up the gameplay to make this one better
As a Japanese, things in the game don’t look Japanese (houses, armors, what people used to wear, etc.) lol. It’s like Westerners’ version of feudal Japan or something. Plus there is never a black samurai in Japan (don’t trust the internet).
he existed but i agree he wasn't actually a real samurai he was basically just a squire he carried nobanaga's swords around thats about all he did was not some warrior like they make him out to be in this game thats for sure lmao its impossible to master the samurai fighting style in just the 1 year he spent with obonaga
seeing how they make Yasuke out to be some high ranking warrior and seeing how angry the Japanese are about the blatant disrespect i find it hard to be they consulted any historians, anybody in Japan, and definitely didnt put authenticity at the forefront

The game is trash, mixing up Chinese and Japanese architecture, stealing images from Japanese cultural heritage and private entities and using them as they want without permission, designs and artwork from different time periods mixed together. That's partially accurate. One it is too much money starting off and two no one has an issue with the fact that Yasuke is black. Americans who are upset with this are jaded from constantly having a woke agenda shoved down their throats. With most could've grown to like the game. That's not going to happen now since Ubisoft announced that one of the characters is gay.

If you really have an ounce of empathy for a culture that stood on its feet even after decades of being dumped under the mud, you won't buy this game. Just my opinion, but not seeing anything to get excited about here. Combat still looks clunky and I don't see anything here that is particularly innovative. Just looks like the 'same old, same old'. Will probably be fun in a 7/10 way and I'm sure that the world will be pretty, because Ubisoft do that really well. Not particularly excited though.
The parrying glows, the mid-duel cutscenes with the characters speaking to each other, the grappling hook, they copied Ghost of Tsushima so much! But I guess Ghost of Tsushima copied much of AC in the first place, so it's only fair :))
Great video, can't wait for AC Shadows myself. I was so close to visiting Japan at one point. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity to visit Asia.

What do you mean ? Yasuke wasnt a samurai. He was sometimes allowed to carry Oda Nobunagas weapons and was a weapon bearer. He also wasnt allowed to move without his Lord. Female ninjas also werent very common, this game is just purely ubisoft being woke once again.

He was appointed his own weapon bearer, home and maid. His loyalty made him bezerk when his leader took his own life out of betrayal and that was some of the last things written about him until he got captured and they spared his life because he had a warriors honor especially for a foreigner. Assassin's Creed franchise has been a big disappointment for me ever since Odyssey, but THIS looks super exciting! Both characters look cool and I really love the ninja style that Naoe brings. Can't wait to see how this is gonna turn out.

Gotta love how Assassins Crees is apparently ripping off Tsushima when 90% of Tsushima's gameplay was literally ripped straight from Assassins Creed in the first place... Make it make sense.
The glint right before the enemy hits you is straight up stolen from Ghost Of Tsushima 😂 The only difference is that Ghost is much more fluid and smooth with attacks in general. The attacks in Shadows are clunky af 😂
If you've played any mainline Ubisoft game since FC3, you've played them all. Regardless of setting or approach it's all the same design. Visually they always look great.. but it's basically just "go climb this to reveal the surrounding area," followed by "go to each of these 100 icons in the area," and a little bit of "be quiet." But the AI has always been way off, they don't react to many environmental clues and they seem oblivious to certain things like a dead body but ultra responsive to things like you crouching in the grass below them. I suppose if you like Ubisoft's formula, you probably really like it and have a lot to dive into. You could master one game and be a master of another without having ever played it.
Every 2 games they usually upgrade the engine, which means they make every mechanic from scratch. Ac2 plays way differently than black flag, and black flag to unity, and syndicate to origins, and odyssey to Valhalla, and finally mirage to shadows. If you say any of those games feel similar, you didn’t play them

Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are the EXACT same game, just different locations. Mirage was ehh and this will be as well.
What's another flaw this game have is the developers not paying attention to the culture, seasons, and history of Japan (which we can see in the trailer the farmers are planting rice in spring season, when the cherry blossom blooms), or (using the Tori gate as an entrance to a village, which are the gates used as an entrance to a shrine), and worst of all (mixing architectural styles from different time periods, knowing the game is set in the Sengoku period) which outraged the japanese people, as the devs claimed the game as “historically accurate". Not to mention that they used a black historical figure in Japan (who was neither Japanese nor a samurai) rather than other Japanese historical figure who truly represented the Japanese people. The developers even have the audacity to call them racist or wrong for feeling that way, because according to the japanese the problem was not even the black samurai's skin color, but him not being racially Japanese. Overall, the game appears to be very promising, not in a historical context but more in a fictional way.

I don't care how beautiful the game looks. We will have plenty more at this level and better. ACS is a lack of respect for Japanese culture. Buying this product or streaming it only expands this. I won't buy it, I won't play it.

A company as big as Ubisoft to come with the same template, just some changed structures, animation looks off, dialogue is braindead and the cultural value is equal to zero, we should stop giving credit and sponsoring companies like this, that don’t give a damn about their community. Game industry should be our place to enjoy escaping the reality, not for political manifestation and cravings for bigger profits.
