Modern Warfare Season 2 has brought us 2 new guns!
…and since the new SMG is further along in the battle pass, today I’m covering the new assault rifle!
The new AR is called the “Grau 5.56” and it’s pretty similar to the SWAT 556 from previous COD games.
It’s actually a pretty good gun, and there’s a lot of unique attachments that will make for some weird looking variants to try!
Next challenge: find the doors that were DEFINITELY added to Rust…

As far as I can tell the grau 556 is the SWAT 556 from BO2. IRL its commonly known as the SIG 556 and it's a variant of the SIG SG 550.

The GRAU 5.56 is based off the SIG 552. A version was in also in Black Ops 2 (the SWAT 5.56) which was based off the SIG 550.

Grau 5.56 is the SIG SG552 Commando. It's a compact carbine based on the SG551, which is a carbine variant of the SG550 assault rifle used by the Swish army.

I believe the GRAU 5.56 is modeled after the SIG 550 series of rifles, manufactured by SIG Sauer. And you are correct that is similar to the SWAT 556 from BO2 because is the same series of rifle.

The grau is actually based off the Swiss Arms Sig 553, a Swiss made firearm no longer allowed to be imported to the states, and the ump isn't an actual ump it's really the lwrc smg. Think of the m4 mixed with the ump.
