Absolutely fantastic review. I do have to say that I would go for the DBS over the 812 Superfast any day . It is drop dead gorgeous. Yes the gearbox isn’t like the 812 but that is not what this car is about. It’s the perfect match for power and comfort. I can imagine the 812 is very unforgiving if you are not careful. Especially with all that power. I mean. Come on. Most of the car reviewers like Clarkson and Harris said the Ferrari has too much power. I think the DBS sits right in the sweet spot between the 812 Superfast and the continental GT. it’s not on the knife edge in responsiveness like the 812 but it is also not as stately as the Continental. Well done Aston for hitting the sweet spot. I will have mine in Matt Grey with yellow accents and dark genres wheels. Excellent video as always. Looking forward to seeing what you have next on you’re channel

Afternoon James as always brilliant video with great content , just a couple of questions . When you do a review for Aston like this are you given a budget by them for the making of the video , this ones so well shot it’s at tv car show standards , I take it you have a number of people helping shooting these videos . We see the great edited and finished version but just how long dose it take to shoot the video . As always great work simply the best you tuber out there at the minute . Cheers Shaun 👍👍👍👍👍

Fantastic review, absolutely beautiful car, I, like you though am bewildered as to why they wouldn’t pop in a double clutch box, I have one in my daily driver and I couldn’t deal with waiting what feels like an age for it to change gear

James, have you ever considered to write a letter to the BBC to be the new "Jeremy Clarkson" on Topgear? I really love your car reviews on this channel. You use your own words, but it has some of Clarkson's dna in it that I liked so much in the early days of Topgear. The new DBS is a lovely GT car but as you say it will never compete with the 812 superfast in terms of performance and gearshifting. But the in- and exterior are beautifull!

Best review of this Aston so far, because, amongst many other things, there's plenty of opportunity to hear the music it makes! Now, boring (?) question - crossing continents have often do you have to stop to refuel?

Personally I’m not a fan of the DB11 so thank god they’ve gone and made a new DBS. Interior stitching and design on the seats are probably my favourite along with the carbon vents by each side of the front wheels Loving the camera work mate👌

Game changer for AM in the world of competitors breaking the 3 second 0-60 barrier, however I wish they’d made the front lights look nicer. The rest of the at is absolutely stunning tho!

Great review James and good job by Aston to step up the game. However if I was looking for a GT car the 812SF is #1, this is #2 and the Bentley is #3.

Great review. I am considering replacing my DB9 with a DBS or a Continental. The 9 has lots of road noise which is wearing on cross -continental drives. I think the new Bentley is a better Grand Tourer than the DB9 - any thoughts about the DBS for this in your next review.

This car is beautiful! I would imagine those C-pillars combined with the small-ish mirrors leave some massive blind spots. How is visibility?

This is truely a beautiful looking car. The double clutch issue might not bother me so much. However, I am a little surprised that the interior isn't more different than the DB11.
