Stay tuned. I'm currently acquiring hardware to sequence through Reaper to bring some good old fashioned proper new skool piano house (plus others) back to people's ears. Give me 12 months though.
I went to San Francisco in the late '90s and this song was coming out of almost every bar on the Castro. There are hardly any lyrics, it was more of a cry in the night and a song about true friendship, for many people relied on the kindness of friends (or strangers) during the epidemic of AIDS. This track resonated big time not only because it's pure musical HOT, but because it said so much with so few lyrics for its time. It expressed what so many felt at that moment in time. context,y'all...
hey my name is Tom and I’m documentary photographer from Bristol, UK - i'm hoping to photograph some people that have made comments on old rave tunes for a portrait project that i've attempting to curate - let me know if you'd be interested :) Tom
other generations talk about the 60s being the summer of love..it was replaced by the 90s coz that's how I remember it..long hazy summers an proper tunes an it was fun an love good times ✌🙌❤🙌 feel sorry for this new generation you missed it😯
+iNative I agree sweetheart but this is the good thing about RU-vid music..you will always have the best music..keep it alive for your generation ✌💓🎵💕🎵💓🎶stay sweet 😉xx
Grew up in the 90's went raving all over the country, helter skelter, bowlers, sequins, zone....their is no better felling than having a ecstacy and having a choon like this booming and watching around 8-9000 people dancing and not 1 bit of attitude in sight!!! Epic days!!! fuck alcohol have an E!!!!
I see you support Manchester United. Good man so do I. I have supported them since 1991 when I was only 11. And they made great music back then too, a lot better than they do today.
A top timeless classic that still sounds fresh in 2022 or will sound good in another 100 years as today's clowns ain't got a clue of how take good tunes! As this shit music of the 2020s won't be looked back on in 30 years like this tune is simples!!! 😎🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳😴
Yes, great music, but you were lucky; it was a devastating time for gay men ( and others), a time full of suffering, death, and grief. That's why this tune hit so hard in the bars and dance clubs; people needed someone they could count on to take care of them or just help them get through the AIDS epidemic for which there was still no successful treatment at that time....
Takes me back to when I was 16 in the State in Liverpool city centre 1998, great memories with the boys an girls haha 🎵🎶😁 proper Tune, a banger first time I went to ibiza in summer 2001 as well Take me back 💯
Man I wish i lived these times of the 90's. I just connect to the music and get tingles when these tunes hit me. I was born in 1997, damn. I had a good up bringing and great memories but the people who lived this era. Cherish it, what a time it must of been. The illegal raves, the drugs (which I don't take) but still just everything about it. Amazing. If there is a after life and you can go to times you want, I'm heading straight to the blue monkey and all the rest. Stay humble peeps!
today at a cafe I listened to this on my headset and just wanted to stand up and dance and give that to the people at the cafe , to se if someone catch it and would dear to join, or just give a laugh to the peeps who would feel embarrassed on my behalf..I just wanted to be free and 20 years ago I would do it without hesitation, daytime, sober ..now..I just kept it inside...but maby tomorrow..or next day
Despite not being able to get into clubs until the mid 90s I was privileged to hear these tracks at school on mix tapes, then dance my nuts off when this dropped in clubs when I was old enough to get in.
ah..takes me back to lots of pills ..festivals in middle of woods on North of scotland and partying all night and going straight to work still full of e ☺
The ultimate XTC-spirit ! Always loved it to hear this 'the morning after' and all the energy came back up. Memories that stay forever and what a beautifull song it still is !!!!!
Bringing back the good old days and the only true 'love spirit' from the past hundred years. I hope we can timetravel before I die otherwise this life has no further meaning at all. (no worries,I'm still fine but still missing ''something big'') Cheers.
I was born too late... 1994.. luckily enough my parents raised me on this sort of stuff, still missed out big time though! I always enjoy reading stories about raves in the comments of old skool tracks
44 now, business to run, mortgage to pay, family to support. how carefree i was back then. all wot mattered was to survive the week, get sorted and party on the weekend. going on xtc induced adventures with me mates. the world seems a darker place these days. just want to go back in time for just one more time......great daze.
C'Mon Glasgow [Posse at Earthquacker 1992 - New Atlantic Live .....I Know ....it was fucking outstanding and also in the video,5 seconds of fame of the best Rave Scotland ever seen ,sweet Darmellington ,Ayrshire, 1992 we all remember ...Many thanks for 8pm - 8am as there was a row of homes behind the massive tent packed to the roof with Ravers from all over Bonnie Scotland ....RESPECT....Class choon 10/10
Tavy@ this is probably the best dance tune ever! That piano and flute rift in it is just brilliant! Back in the day when this tune came on in 1991, 92 in the best night club in paisley at that time by far, was "talk of the town" the place was just buzzing, there was never any trouble, every one was happy and knew every one or nearly. And it was a big place, a think it held at least 600 people at least from all over paisley. The summer of 1992 was by far the best ever for dance music, the youth of today dont know what they missesd. Am glad and gratefull i was age 19 then and got the full package lol. Not like todays music wich is just pure pee and diarreaha lol. There was just so many great dance music from 1991 to 92, then i believe it dipped alot in 93, 94. But in all, the best years for dance or rave tunes was from 1988 to 1992, the late 1980s made great hip hop dance tunes, then in late 1989 it got better and better by the bin load, then in early 1990 piano techno was starting and just go better into 1992, 93, it was so good it just took over all the other music and all over the world it just blew the older groups out the way. It was just so good, a pandemic is an under statement. No other old music groups could get in the charts i kid you not. Ibiza and the rest of europe was bouncing 24,7. But i had this feeling that it couldnt last forever? Why i didnt know becouse it was just the start really, and was so good, but maybe thats why i thought that, becouse it was so good, like too good. And alot of these rave bands couldnt do an album? It was mostly 12 inch tunes, and about 2 or 3 a year. And i was right. Once it became money motivated thats when we could see it was going to ruin it. Becouse then other artists came in and they started to make the rave scene a place to go too or be at but the music became too fast, too heavy, the tunes were now just sounding the exact same except with different words thats all, if people didnt take an E then they would admitt they didnt like it at all. It never used to be like that, the tunes were that good you didnt need drugs to love it. Then when they couldnt get an E they wouldnt even go at all. "What for the music isnt that good" they would say. That was the begging of the end for me after about 1997 i would say! But it was brilliant while it lasted and am glad for that!!!!
A great time for music and lots of memories of Warehouse, Leeds, then a couple of years later Nation/Cream in Liverpool (sadly, that's gone now). Always keep coming back to these tunes, especially after another soulless day in the office. All the tunes this geezer is dancing to I did a... variation of! ;)
Loveing these tune's me like. Bringing back the memories, These are of the good old days, Thank you uploader :) #afterdark /#venue #bluemoknkey #Goodtimes :) :) :) :) :)
timeless,timeless,timeless---doves,brown biscuits, warehouses, fields i grooved to this anywhere and everywhere in 91---87-92 best 5 years of my life........................
I feel sad for kids today and what stands for dance music. Back in the day, a club was a place for making connection and celebrating music with friends and strangers. Yes, we all know it was fuelled by chemicals, but the slow ebb of xtc from those clubs left a cold and hard environment reflecting the kind of drugs that took over. Those days will never return. *sheds a nostalgic tear*
Monet Washington Count On Me doesn't sample this. The piano is totally different. They just sing the words I Know, completely different to how it's sung here. Lol
