I personally highly dislike the appearance of the mount. The original one was perfect. Why go and screw it up? Should've just given us it in a different color. Light blue? Purple? Shade of orange? Anything but this design. Price is a little ridiculous as well tbh. $50 is reasonable. But its obvious they'll release one of the AH mounts into the traders vendor eventually to equalize the playing field for everyone else. Question is how long to not cause an uproar from the people buying it right now? $50 would've made the most sense.
I'm not about to go out of my way to defend the $90 price tag I understand how absurd it is. However. If you do the math from money to tokens to gold or gold to tokens to in-game store cash then this mount is way more affordable then the 5m long boi in BFA which honestly was never intended to be bought with tokens. OG Long boi was meant to help balance out gold inflation by being a big gold sink where this mount is a pure cash grab power move, but is more "affordable" then the OG.
@@SpiritGRF They should've done right by the community and made it 5 million again, but this time, permanently in a vendor. Many people would spend real cash to get it along with farming most of it, and it would drive up the monthly subscriptions as people would be eager to get it by farming more. Another idea would be to do something wild where it's only purchasable for a few months of the year or every few years, which would have the same effect. The people who previously owned the original would benefit from being only a few that has it but would also have to farm up another 5 million to get the new appearance/benefits from the newer one. Maybe introducing a new color scheme/vendor every few years and retiring the previous design, making people constantly have to farm gold if they wish to get it. Idc what the other one costed and the comparison of two, this time around its obvious its made to be bought with cash and not potentially farmed, obviously you can farm the gold and get tokens but this is an item offered directly by cash. The design is horrible as well, I truly don't like how bulky it is, but oh well, this is our reality.
Pretty smart of them. Release a mount that only rich can get. Then Re-release a better version for a fraction of the price. U get the rich having to get it cause it's slightly better and all the poor chumps jumping at it cause it feels like a bargain, when in reality it's still a rip-off.
On EU its abaut double that...bit with with how relative pricing on everything looks its still abaut 5x cheaper than in BFA after adjusting for inflation...the only problem being there are LITTERALY no tokens left to buy, so many people with gold wanted to get one the token is out of stock for 6h now, and I dont think its comming back anytime soon

Yeah maybe people bought it more expensive, but they had the advantage since against other people, who didn't have the chance at all (ex: People who didn't play back in BFA), or simple people who couldn't afford it back in the day. So their money probably made a lot of more money since. I don't think it's unfair to give it away cheaper now. Still a lot of money for average players.
I bought it, was saving for the green one grinding cash, I wish they put it in as a achievement for the limited time event but I suppose from a business point of view it’s an easy way to make money
I didn't get a chance to get Longboi when it was available due to not having time to farm due to life and have been disappointed I couldn't make it happen ever since. My buddy had one and it was so convenient when he played. $90 is so trivial compared to the time to grind the old one (especially at gold cap now). As soon as I saw it on the shop, I bought it instantly! So worth it to me and so happy I finally have one.

And in this circumstance, $90 was easier to come by then spending countless hours trying to grind out gold cap and then getting lucky enough to grab it off BMAH. Highly improbable. Does it suck, sure, but at the same time, it's too much of a quality of life difference, so it is what it is. But I hear you.
@@smithical100 the point is somebody did, somebody had to pay 20$ to put that token up so regardless they are making money hand over fist and if they weren't incentivized todo so they never would hence how this turns into a circle of "how do we get even more money?" saying "90$ is so trivial compared to the time farm" is hilarious, considering activision is the one that made you feel that way by making the grind the way it is, not fixing the bots situation is why the economy keeps tanking and only gets harder for a normal player to make gold without forking up more cash getting manipulated by a big corporation must be your favorite past time

@@TheTomtah for that to happen the token needs to be around 590k~600k, which i believe is very unlikely. but still, if for some crazy reason the token reaches those prices, i'd say it's still a far better deal than the original longboi imo.

I had previously bought and held onto 4 wow tokens. But when I right click on em, I only get the option to add game time. This is on a level 1 bank toon and on EU. Can anyone let me know why I don't get the option to redeem Blizzard balance?

Tbh the only thing I dislike is that the new one is also better(has mailbox). If they upgraded the old one to also have a mailbox it'd be fine. But they had to give it a mailbox to make owners of the old Brutosaur also want it.

Make sure to check the fine print...mount is only available until January 6th when the anniversary ends. Looks like it's removed from the shop after that, same as the 30th anniversary bundle they're offering.
I just couldnt make enough gold in BFA to get the long boi and its haunted me ever since. I have been into gold making since then and have been making bank for exactly when they were gunna bring it back. So im super glad i can still use my hard earned gold to buy it. Even if it is tarnished abit buy just being a store mount.
Removing the mount was stupid. Literally every other gold sink is in the game except that one. Sorry youre wrong, the people that used IRL money to buy tokens to get the original before it was taken off will 100% (rightfully) be pissed. My somutions ive said for years is make the AH mount only work in capital cities. Fair compromise.

You've had years with the mount when others didn't. I don't think I'd be upset if I had owned it and seen it eventually up for sale many; many years later. I'd only hope they changed the color just to know who had the OG version. Anyways $90 is insane no matter if you try to compare what it used to be valued at. Anyone paying $90 has lost their minds. Unless you had the extra gold already. $50 seems more reasonable imo. Tbh I actually really dislike how this mount looks, like I was saying I'd of been super happy if they just copied the mount; swapped in the mail box and just changed the color to say a light blue, purple or even a shade of orange. hard agree, such a positive, i wished my Long Boi only cost like 1.2 million (estimate at this time of 200k for a token at $15 USD x 6) Pretty sweet that people can get it now.
If you have gold in game you can buy tokens with that gold. The tokens are worth $15 USD. Usually on NA servers, these cost ~200k gold. If you have a 1.2mil gold, you can buy 6 tokens and get the mount. Previously the mount was purchasable in game for I think 3million gold? Maybe more idk. You can also just swipe your card and get it too Hope this helps.
That's the magic...the price is JUST right, everyone and their mother, from the fillthiest delve loving casual, to the most sweaty Cutting Edge enjoying hardcore can, and will spend it. ATM its ~2mil gold its not much with how expansive everything else is and considering its A LONGBOI

That sucks... Devalues the time and effort people put into the original one. I wish they just sold this one for something like 8mill and left it at the vendor for future expansions. I myself don't have the original, but I still think that this is foul...
