Audi has unveiled the RS6 Avant GT, a limited-edition version of its high-performance station wagon that combines sleek bodywork with enhanced performance and exclusive styling.
The GT's front end has been completely redesigned with a painted hood that showcases sections of carbon fiber underneath. New carbon fiber fenders and bumpers further reduce weight by 2 kilograms.
At the rear, a roof spoiler mirrors the iconic wing found on the 90 GTO race car, while red-gray-black decals add a sporty touch. The GT is exclusively available in heritage white paint in the United States, with no decal-delete option. Black 22-inch Avus wheels and red brake calipers complete the aggressive exterior.
Inside, the GT features carbon fiber accents, GT badging, and a numbered plate indicating its position within the limited-edition run of 660 units. Adjustable sport seats are unique to the US models, while European versions offer bucket seats as an option. Other interior touches distinguish the US and Euro variants.
Only 85 GTs will be available in the United States, making them highly exclusive. The starting price is expected to be under $200,000.
Compared to European models, the US-spec GTs have a more limited color palette, with only heritage white available. European versions offer four additional colors: Chronos Gray, Nardo Gray, Madeira Brown, and Mythos Black. Additionally, Euro-spec models have grayscale decals instead of red-grayscale ones.
Under the hood, the RS6 Avant GT retains the potent 4.0-liter V8 engine with 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The GT's suspension has been fine-tuned for improved handling, and it features stiffer anti-roll bars and a revised damping system. The result is a car that can carve through corners with precision and stability, despite its large size.
