U can add flat one for ~150e

The reason for this steering wheel are new European regulations that do not allow a flat steering wheel if assistance systems are installed! The flattened steering wheel is now only available for vehicles from 2021 onwards without assistance systems!

@@shenthomas2689 i have ordered with a flat bottom wheel. that was more important to me than the keep-in-lane assistant. all the other assistants do work. like lane-departure-warning, adaptive cruise control and so on. i have heard that the round wheel better performs in recognizing being hold. So The car better knows if the driver is actively driving or started to bite his toe nails.

Man muss nicht 100% eigene Teile produzieren, um einen anderen Sound zu generieren. Da reichen kleinere Modifikationen. Und ja, diese Differenzierung erwarte ich.

Der Sound hat nichts mit dem Hersteller zu tun! EU Regularien verhindern jeglichen Anspruch an guten Sound! Der AMG A45S (stärkster 4 Zyl.) klingt genau so schwach!

Saif0412 that still doesn’t justify the dyson sound from a nearly 40k car. The new golf 8 gti sounds better and that’s a 4 pot with filters as well. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Brenton Bock this launch seemed to short shift in 1st and 2nd gears before hitting redline in 3rd. All the other channels I’ve seen don’t have the same “issue”, they all seem to rev cleanly from the get go.

@@timb8095 I see what you mean about the short shift 1st to 2nd. I'd say the cars technical wizardry probably looks at clutch, ambient and tyre temp and determined that a short shift would give a quicker time in those particular conditions. I mean, you can't really fluff a launch control haha. That being said, none of the other times I've seen have come close to 4.4. I still feel that the carwow number is highly optimistic. I've never seen another review that uses Racebox and it certainly isn't the industry standard (yet) that other cars have been timed on.

Brenton Bock I just noticed on the Auditography video it had the same launch characteristics 1st - short 2nd - short 3rd - redline But you may be right, it may just vary depending on the conditions at the time

Picked one up 2 weeks ago. It does short shift in launch in 1st and 2nd gears until approx 500 miles. Now my car redlines on launch through the gears. I’m wondering if Audi included a software break in period for the DSG in the ECU? Who knows??

@@garethc78 that’s an interesting thought and observation in your case and it does make sense, although at the 17 second mark in the video, you can see that this car has 4531km on the clock.

@@timb8095 mate I didn’t notice the mileage on this test car, you are far more observant than me 😂 I don’t really know then as I only launch mine after oil is >90 and I have been driving it a while, perhaps the fact it seems to launch better with a few hundred miles on the clock is a placebo effect on me. I also don’t own draggy or any other timing products so can’t give comparison figures for sprint times (but I do notice the upshift being later in first and second than it was a few weeks ago) Mine is totally stock as I have contacted ABT and currently there are no products available for this model (give them time!) the usual basic ABT remap gave the old one an extra 70hp and 100Nm of torque so I’m patiently waiting for its release! (If I have the balls to invalidate the warranty 😂)

Also faster or similar fast as those MY18 cars without OPF and 310hp, I think that’s impressive.

Ich habe schon bei dem neuen A35 und A45/s gedacht es wäre schlimm mit dem Sound. Aber liebe Audi Sound Designer das kann doch nicht euer Ernst sein. Ein Golf 4 1,9tdi klang ja besser. Auch wenn es Vorschriften heutzutage sehr hart sind kann man den Klang doch wenigstens so optimieren das sich das ganze ein wenig dumpfer anhört und nicht wie ein Dyson mit lagerschaden.

Yep, similar sound. 82dB standstill....70dB while driving. But those numbers usually don‘t tell how the car really sounds.

It's all about regulations. But as long as it will be in the petrolhead's hands it would get a decent aftermarket exhaust system and the problem would be solved :) it's really sad to say, but we need to kinda get used to shitty stock sounds... It would not change... :/

But if I’m not mistaken this was already the case with the previous gen.😅🤔

Diese Theorie bezweifle ich ehrlich gesagt....klar checken die die Autos ob die auch die Leistung bringen aber nach unseren Beobachtungen liefern unsere eigenen privaten Fahrzeuge die gleichen Werte wie die Testwagen....da ist uns noch keine große Abweichung aufgefallen, bei keinem Hersteller🤔

@@Automann-TV ja klar, aber de Vorgänger mit 310 PS brauchte laut diversen Tests zwischen 13.5-14s. Über 2 Sekunden schneller mit weniger Leistung, bei ca. gleichem Gewicht und Aerodynamik. Irgendwo kann da ja was nicht stimmen.

Klingt absolut peinlich und unauthentisch.

Insgesamt finde ich die Qualität im Innenraum gut, an ein paar Stellen ist das Material vielleicht nicht ganz auf Vorgängerniveau aber dafür war in unserem Fzg. die Verarbeitungsqualität Top! Ich würde den S3 immer noch oberhalb M135i und A35 einordnen was quali anbelangt.

This makes me have doubts that the next golf 8 r will have 333hp like earlier leaks suggested.

It probably has to do with the temperature of the clutch and the grip it’s detecting🤔🤷‍♂️

Automann-TV How many launches before that clip did you do? I know when I went to the drag strip with my RS3, it was cool outside. After each run I waited 30 minutes. Some launches it shifted at redline first to second. Some shifted early. All were done in sport mode. Mine actually did the quarter mile in 12.029 seconds at 113.7 mph. Our US spec cars are pretty much pre OPF. But ours come with the catalytic converters in the midpipes. I went straight to the euro midpipes without the cats.

😅👍...well actually we didn’t do any Launch control in the 30 min. before but the it was pretty hot that day and it seemed that the Launch Control wasn’t as rude as normal;) Anyhow...I don’t really care that much about the 100 km/h time....100-200 is more relevant for me and in that regard the car overperformaned compared to my expectations.

Its Just reasoned by the Turbo spool. Most cars these days reach their full boost in second gear due to the displacement/turbo size ratio. So is makes sense to Shift earlier to take the benefits of the higher Boost/torque, Even if the gear Is longer.

It'll likely upshift this early because it wants to keep using its torque. If you turn it off, it will slow down!

@@Automann-TV So far is like this: BMW 135i (new model) 100 - 200km/h: 13,69s Mercedes A35 AMG 100 - 200km/h: 14,1s Audi S3 (new model) 100 - 200km/h: 11,8s S3 is way faster at the top end 0 to 100km/h they are very similar

Naja der faire Vergleich ist ja eher der aktuelle Golf R mit OPF...und da ist dieser S3 messbar schneller. Der von uns getestete Golf R aus 2018 hatte keinen OPF und sogar noch die Akra die auch ein paar PS bringt. Und der war mit 12.1 sogar noch minimal langsamer. Also finde schon das der hier überraschend gut geht....aber natürlich ist das alles ähnlich im Speed!

Puiii....that’s difficult. I am not a fan of the new A-Class interior, the Audi yet again has more quality. But...the A35 is more sporty and aggressive, the S3 is more the perfect Allrounder.

Automann-TV Thanks for your opinion. I’m seriously considering the A 35 sedan and the CLA 45 and I’m wondering if the CLA 45 is worth the extra 11k USD. I really need to test drive both cars soon.

Test was done on 0% slope and compared to 0% slope of our Golf R test. I would not argue about a tenth or two but this is about 1.4 sec faster 100-200 than our Golf R...and that’s quite a noticeable difference🙏

Of course the device only measures the time of 100-200 km/h....we do this test based on the “industry standard”.

The RS3 has rear wheel torque vectoring, basically borrowed from the new Golf R, while the S3 only has the old Haldex system
