I have heard several others who have worked with him in the past say he is a fabulous, caring person that is nothing but good in him all the way around. To me, their actions say it all to me.
This is the first time I have thought that Nick will play devil's advocate just to create controversy. He is completely off the mark with It Ends With Us. All of his comments were off base. Kudos to Natalie for understanding the controversy and keeping the the focus on the lack of discussion of DV in the press and the misrepresentation of the movie.
This is Love is Blind UK’s first season and it is SO good. The final episodes haven’t come out yet but you should definitely watch it. It’s much better than the latest seasons of Love is Blind US. In terms of love is blind, it’s not specifically a rule that they only go official when they leave the villa - some couples become “boyfriend and girlfriend” while they are still in the villa. It really just depends on the couple.
Justin's platform and history speaks for itself. It feels like Colleen sold out and was blinded by the star power. Also seems like Blake and Ryan were trying to have a Barbenheimer moment with Deadpool/It Ends With Us, while this was a serious passion project for Justin.
There is something about Blake that is trying too hard for me. I don’t think she’s a great actress and I am confused by her business ventures. Her and Ryan are cringey to me
Before I started to listen to the podcast I knew Nick was going to have this take on Justin and not possibly being congruent on how he acts and how he portrays himself. Justin was on his podcast years ago and I could tell Nick didn’t like Justin that much by the way Justin talked about vulnerability.
Agree! Justin Baldoni doesn't just "say the right thing", his actions also stand on their own. He financially supports projects and ventures that speak to things he wants to amplify. This has all been an interest conversation because he won the bid war for this script so he deserved to tell his version. Baldoni choosing this script in particular immediately tells us he wants to bring light to DV. I remember hearing he won the rights and thinking wow a person who wants to put care into the movie won. Blake and Ryan have star power and while we don't actually know what happened behind the scenes they are kind of telling on themselves by promoting their products (that have no association to the film) right now, cross promoting films (do you think the film, deadpool, won't do well on its own?), and then interviews where she says i'm not just acting i'm ready to direct. Making it clear shes ready to move into this new phase of directing and how people she looks up to do the same. This for me tells me she wants people to be on the lookout for the sequels where she will be taking the reigns. Baldoni has reportedly been a director who will lean in to getting all POVs, like deferring to Blake, a women, to get her take on how she would perceive things, or in past films (Five Feet Apart) deferring to real cystic fibrosis patients to accurately portray those stories. I feel like his care in this respect has lead to him being walked all over. In his interviews he's only said kind things, and the comments that come across more passive I think are his way of letting the public know in a gentle way that this was the core issue. They all unfollowed him, what is this supposed to tell us? That is mean girl behavior, you work on a movie together, be professional. And promoting the movie as a feel good film, to reach more audiences, was not the move. People who read the book knew what it was going to be about but I'm sure others would've gone still to see what the hype was about. The mention of the proposal video being cringey didn't do much to make me think otherwise of him. He and his wife have been married for how long now? lol Its giving they're happyyyy haha

Yeah but they intentionally try to lead the viewers into thinking one thing when it’s really another. So showing so much of Devin is a tell tail sign to me that he’s likely not her final rose. I think if Marcus or Jonathan can get there in overcoming their commitment issues they could be final roses. I just hope that if it’s not Marcus in the end she lets him go at final 3 not leave him feeling abandoned after proposing. That would be cruel.

LOVE the Olympic chatter, and needed this fix since I'm missing these last couple weeks of all things Olympics all night long, but bummed how many people tuned out before the women's marathon on Sunday and missed one of the most iconic feats of the Games: Siffan not only completed a triple like no other [5K/10K/marathon] but she medaled in each event and WON the freakin' marathon!
Why didn't you guys talk about Blake's past and how she's had issues in the past with her co stars. I don't know why Nick was so focused on a video from Justin that was created 10 years ago, like what does that have to do with anything.

Idk how you guys never have the full story about this stuff when it’s your job but whatever. I wish you talked about Sabrina also being penalized for being out of bounds, when in reality, she wasn’t. Her coaches decided to appeal a different score, it was rejected, and that was their mistake. But had sabrinas score been revised, she would’ve placed higher than chiles. When we’re talking about who REALLY should’ve won the bronze, you have to take into account that Sabrina was also penalized wrongly, and that’s just a FACT. Saying that Romania is being salty over a technicality isn’t totally true. They were also hurt by the judges’ incompetence.

Gymnastics coach here. USAG appealed because there is video evidence of Jordan’s coaches inquiring the score with 55 seconds on the clock. They inquired her difficulty score which is made up of the amount of skills each puts in their routines and how difficult they are. The more difficult the higher their difficulty score goes up which then adds on to their execution score (sticks, steps, falls, wobbles, ect) The head Olympic committee denied the US’s appeal and video replay that the inquire was turned in before the 1 minute mark. They are going to continue to battle it but as a gymnastics coach one wouldn’t think they would have to question the WORLDS “best” judges on their math and if they got it all added up correctly. Such a horrible and extremely frustrating situation.

I mean it’s not a hard rule to make it official when you get in the real world. Some make it official on the show & some wait. Serena specifically told Kordell not to ask her on the show and to wait until they’re out so it’s a moment just for them. Kaylor said to others that’s what she wanted too but then she folded as soon as Aaron asked lol. But it’s a case by case basis, I think if Kordell/Serena would’ve asked in the villa they’d still be fine while Kaylor/Aaron were already rocky. Last year’s winners asked on the show and are still together.
Agree with the comments on the AUS “break dancer”. It’s actually really disappointing that some people spend over a decade of their lives training almost everyday for hours a day just for the privilege to be called an Olympian and this girl can now call herself one and admittedly say she didn’t really train. Really takes away from the people who earned it through a combination of insane training, hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and God-given talent.

Idk if it’s true but I had heard that Blake came in wanting to basically direct and paid money to basically control who is part of the cast for the sequel and she didn’t want Justin on the sequel from the get go. Hoover was overwhelmed and just let Blake do her thing since she has so much power in Hollywood.

Men like Sam M are very relative. Yes we do often wish that physical attraction can outweigh it all but unfortunately the reality is that only few people have the whole package. It is tough out there when it comes to dating and the sad truth is we often get confused in the process and tag along for many years and not coming into terms that isn't love but only lust. As noted in the song by Natasha Beddingfield "who doesn't long for someone to hold who knows how to love them without being told....If there's a soulmate for everyone." As for Jeremy, he was cringe since the first interaction with Jen, when he made an inappropriate comment and made that laugh/serious face look--gives absolute vibes of weirdo/creep. And last but not least, Spencer- I was truly rooting for him since the very beginning up to the point where he started cursing and lost his cool in front of the group one time and also at the very end when he called his mom and his mom kept calling him "baby," this said it all- spoiled mama's boy.
I graduated High School 44 years ago. The way some girls slam a volley ball over the net is intense . The Americans are intense strong. Participants from all countries are excellent in there interest . Florida swimming pools , doing hand stands in the water , with sister. Artistic Swimming brought back memories. What happened to etiquette in some cultures ? A women should order less than a man from the menu . A man opens the door to let the ladies in first. Why do some girls use a boy to get her way ? Parents that never tell their children right or wrong. When grandparent & parents are just as bad. The medical has come a long way. Medication for those who are way over. New wardrobe fit in them! New car go out to a restaurant & shopping in a mall ! The American Way! Work for those who can achieve scholastic activity !

I feel like they’re marketing the movie exactly how the book has been marketed. I don’t agree with it, but I’m not at all surprised. (I do think there is merit to Nick’s opinion about Baldoni though. Just look who he hired as his PR person for this.)
The breakdancers in the closing ceremonies were better than Raygun. I almost felt like she was making a mockery of the Olympics. I agree, yeah, enter a dance competition.
