NB can't seem to make a mistake: the dad shoe trend for high end shoes is as strong as ever and they keep delivering. What I like about this shoe is that it would have been so easy to make a mess of it with the panelling cuts, but some how it just works beautifully. Superb review! 👍
I actually managed to score a pair! Big shout out to Courtside! They cancelled a bunch of orders from bots and then later in the day, set up a live stream to help people manually cop pairs. I got the Sea Salt CW. I do agree it's a bit muted and they are going to be dirt magnets, but I really like the design. Also picked up the Asics Nice Kicks Spumoni (at Livestock in store). Both have very light thick fuzzy suede. I'm going to need to stock up on more protective spray.
Had the same pair and glad I picked it before somebody else copped it. The next guy obviously knew this was a premium limited release. Got it at retail too.

I was lucky to win a raffle. These were my first 2002R and I'm surprised how much I love them. From the three cw this one was my favourite, but I might grab the phantom too. I agree, they are very comfortable and fit TTS. Great review and please keep up with the sizing info, for me it's so valuable!

They look awesome! Great review man! I think the pack might be called “protection pack”, because the shoe protected you from something and that’s why they look like an animal attacked the upper.
These are growing on me every time I see them. Raincloud is definitely the most 🔥 colorway. I’m not sure if I should go for these or the water be the guide joints.
I recommend getting the phantom color way. Picture don’t do that shoe justice it’s more of a charcoal grey in person and you can definitely see all the details even though it all one color. Also the prices are still relatively affordable compared to the rain cloud color.
Crazy that these were considered a GR release cuz they sold out instantly everywhere I looked on release day. Had to buy resell for this pair but most definitely worth it. New balance needs to put not protection on their site though, had no chance on release day.
Subscriber here! I'm thinking about ordering a pair of NB 2002R. I'm size 10 US men's, but I believe this particular shoe runs big. Should I go down to size 9.5? What would u recommend?
