New Balance 990 V4 (Grey Day) "Marblehead / Vintage Indigo": Review & On-Feet 

To be honest Sean, this Marblehead / Vintage Indigo 990v4 is the best out of the 990v6 and 998 IMO. I copped a pair. I was surprised how good they looked in-person. Now I'm sure some disagree but I think they look good. I think they'll age well with me. Not crazy about the price tho, so I'm kinda hitting the pause button for an extended period.

990v4 is a super underrated model for sure

Mine come in tmrw. Adding to my JJJound navy. V4 is the best NB model imo , love this colorway and excited for more! I’ll have to buy the OG grey V4 when that drops again soon. Great work as always Sean!

Copped the 998 and I’m very happy . Passed on the V4 simple because I’m waiting on a different colorway to come out very soon ..

990v4 i think is the best. And to me it willl be for a while, the marble and indigo colorway blends well with the design of shoe not mentioning the perfect suede it has. So good

They look good I was debating between this and V6 but I ended up opting for the V6. I've been wanting to get the V6 so this release feels like an excuse for me to get one hahaha. Plus point for the v6 compared to v4 that its not hairy suede so I feel like I can use it daily. I like how hairy suede look but it always gives me anxiety. Like with raw amethyst I only use it if I can confirm that I will be indoor most of the time and it wont be raining for the whole day lol. Heres hoping they release more v4 this year !

Idk if the v4 are the more comfortable but I would say that they're the best shoes for walking that I have worn

Funny you mentioned the Marblehead 990v3. Selling those because I decided to go 1/2 down in 990v3 and considering picking these up to replace them.

I love me the 990 series and honestly, they keep getting more comfortable. V6 is out of this world comfort.

Is the beige / crfeam part of the sole painted on? Cos the paint cracked on my 990v3 and it looks disgusting.

Sean where would you rank the v4 as far as comfort for all day? To me v6 is king then the v3. I didn’t like the v5 as it was too stiff and heavy.

The v4 looks to similar to the v3 and I don’t have a much of a fatigue for it. So instead I bought the v6 (1st). Everything from NB is still new to me, I haven’t been a year into sneakers. What is the other pair that you purchased from grey day?
