NB is killing it with the 991v2, I finally copped the Silver Blue Turbulence pair and well worth every cent for quality materials NB always offers, and that gum rubber 👌🏽! Will definitely be looking for a pair of these, just couldn’t get my hands on them on release day. Looking for a 9.5 if anyone knows where to cop…. Excellent review Sean✌🏽
It's a decent update on design, but the toe box is way too narrow and it's overpriced for no obvious reason. I've said it before, but they need 2E options.
Great review, love watching your vids! As far as sizing goes, what size would you recommend for the 991v2 models? I have 993's and a pair of 9060's, all which are size 10 (TTS is 10.5 for me). Would you recommend sticking to .5 down like other models?
I would only half size down if you have narrow feet. They are long like 998s but more narrow than other MiUSA models. I'm half size up in these from my 993 (which I go half size down from my TTS in 993)
Gorgeous pair of sneakers but I just can’t pay $260 retail for a pair of kicks. $200 is already such a stretch. Wish I could swing it because I think they’re beautiful and I’d love them to be my first pair of 991v2.
From the first moment I saw the promo pics, I knew I would cave. Gonna be my summer staple. Hoping to hold off on any other pairs this year due to snagging both these and the turbulence pair - getting too expensive!
I want a pair badly, but sadly it’s listed sold out on NB website. I’m hoping a restock is underway. I believe this is a GR, not exclusive or limited release. The only question remains: when will NB restock? 😅 I’d rather not pay resale for this shoe.
@@wonkydonkey7899i went by the new balance flagship store in boston (newbury st) last week and they had them. Picked up a pair. They’re fantastic in person!
They are different. 991 is definetely more comfortable. 993 has less drop, and is more bulky than the 991. I have 990v4, 990v6, 993, 2002R and 530 and today I got these 991v2, and I can’t believe I did not had these before. If I could choose only one, I would go for the 991V2
993 is going to be better for slightly wide footers. 991v2 is more sleek, sporty and narrow. Both are great. Historically, I've always worn 993s, but this is cooler for 2024.
this is one of the best nb colorway ever ever. on the 1500's it looks so so nice. for looks i think the 1500 but its very close and these are gonna be way more comfortable.
i f'ed up for not copping from solestop i had in the cart for few days and never pulled the trigger bc i got the 1000SL. you probably copped it from them cuz no one else had em in toronto, but them
Had to buy 4 pairs because the finishing quality is really really bad. Finally picked one that is barely pass my standard and I almost end up not making the purchase…. What is the point of MIUSA or MIE if they don’t come out at least matching made in Asia quality ?
Loose stitch, odd scratch and stain, painted over, glue, not symmetrical, waverly toe area which you can see from this video too, great shoes but the finishing quality is just really bad.
I also had some smeared glue on the heel cap; I talked to the store and got a discount (it was the last pair, and I really wanted them). Annoying, but I am used to things made in UK: They make great things, but often with some strange quirks.
American mentality. Letting people suffer with bad working conditions, bad pays as long as you can get cheap products. I happily pay the price for a good product made by people having good working conditions, with a manufacturing process that is respecting nature and strict laws and rules of a developer country. Go out and get you nikes made by kids
@@leonelbustosbNo, it's more like greedy @$$ corporations charging a 1000% premium. We know these shoes cost maybe $30/pair to manufacture. Edit: NB can still make a stellar profit charging ≤$200. They're just trying to maximize profits while inflation is trendy. It's well known that most brands are arbitrarily increasing their prices just bc they can. They might be paying their workers $2+ per hour, but nothing to justify a $50 uptick in price.
@@zachthewombatI just don't support price gouging. I'm 100% positive NB's bottom line will still be very robust if these sold at $200. In fact, more people might be inclined to buy them at that price point.
