New Balance Rebel v4 Review - FAST First Impression 

Bought a pair last week, absolutely amazing! I haven’t taken them over six mile run yet. Hope to get a long run in them soon. Did great on a five mile interval when I had to pick up the speed.

Fuel cell is NB’s premium foam. The super comps are their super trainer and racing shoe with carbon plate. That shoe is an up tempo shoe like an Endorphin speed. I’m currently using Adidas Boston 12 for that. I didn’t think I would but I really enjoy it.

You know this is actually an interesting video. this is something I've always wondered about the rebel. I've never seen really what the purpose of the shoe is. and I'm a huge New Balance fan boy. My daily trainer in New Balance is the 880.

Good video, I really like the Rebel, I had the Rebel v2 & v3 excellent shoes, I ran two marathons in the v2 1 marathon in the v3 & 3 half marathons in the v3 10k race & 5k park runs, got pbs in pretty much in all the last 5 events with the New Balance Rebel very good for the price & what you get, but I used the Rebel more for race day & tempo runs, & not for everyday trainers, think there would wear out to fast for everyday trainers, also found the Rebels are really good for easy recovery day shoes, or when the feet are sore & ya want to rest the feet, cheers

Interesting review....these shoes felt very soft to me, although the daily route that I run is fairly hilly and I'm a heel striker. They felt pretty squishy on the downhills. Def light & breathable though. Have to put more miles on em.

When I heard from a reviewer that it felt like a lower stack Superblast, I ordered them.

I'm really enjoying the NB SC Trainer V2. Can't wait for the V3. I think you would like it.

The Rebel V4 Fuel Cell is not the same as SC Elite, it's a PEBA blend, and the PEBA percentage isn't great. But that blend should extend the life of the foam. PEBA without a plate and decent stack height seems to be a stability problem, which is probably why they went with PEBA/EVA blend. While I don't mind NB shoes, they have never wow'd me either. I still have a pair of Rebel V2's but I struggle to find a use for it since I have WAY better shoes I could use for the same runs. So I just occasionally take it for a run that's relatively short and might have some pace.

When i'll come back to run fast and strong for sure i'll buy a faster shoes like this.For sure Rebel V4 it' not like More v4, but what do you think about a cushing sensation? Too hard/mid/very softer?

Everyone says the rebel V4 is a firm shoe but me as a runner find them to be very soft and cushioned. Then again, everyone’s feet are different and I’m a midfoot striker. Overall, I just love the shoe.😬

Nike Turbo fan. Struggling to find a bridge until version 4 is released. Confused why Nike will wait until Autumn for release?

Would they work for speed walking or half job at a good pace for a little then walk some . Trying to back to where I. was in December before total knee replacement surgery or should I go with new balance more v4 or 1080v13. Or other suggestions. I need them to be under 8mm , preferably 4 to 5 mm drop

Have a wide foot, (4 1/8-4 1/4) inches, and buying them online, would 2E be suffice?

hows the heel cup on the back? the elite v4 was dreadful , ripped holes in my heels

Do you know if the Balos will have a wide version?

I wear a size 10.5 what size should I buy in a pair of New Balance Rebels

3:05 I have come to confess and bare my soul, I also am a Heel Striker... I hang my head in shame 🙂.

I love these shoes…..but the heel cup gives my Achilles blisters.

If they look the same, and same midsole then they must be very similar.. hehe
