Have you tried Express #3 Fresh Cypress and Woods? It is a bit linear and a very strong woodsy powerhouse that reminds of a smokey birtchy batch of Aventus. A wonderful fragrance if you like a performance monster wood bomb.

Cool cool. Btw, I'm guessing there are people out there that still aren't sure whether or not there is such a thing as a "safe" western oud. Cause...I'm one of them. LOL Safer ouds, definitely, but not entirely safe. Great review Ash. As far as fragrances go, I've always considered BR to be the niche version of Zara. Simple, less affordable, but still very decent. Neroli Woods sounds like a another winner.

I've been searching for that perfect springtime, really fresh, straight out of the shower, citrusy but doesn't smell like a household cleaner fragrance and im falling short. I'll give this Cypress Cedar a shot but do you have any other suggestions Ashton? I own Bleu De Chanel & Green Irish Tweed but i wear them year round. Im looking for a Spring specific scent.

Johnny Robinson I'm not Ashton but I would like to offer you my advice if I may. For spring specific fragrances that are kind of citrusy there really aren't any better ones than Creed Aventus. Yes, it is overhyped a lot but it truly is a masterpiece. Since you own Bleu de Chanel and GIT I figured you don't have a problem owning very popular fragrances as long as they smell really good and perform well. If you don't agree that Aventus is the king of fragrances, I would certainly argue that it is the king of spring for sure. It is just everything you want for that kind of temperature and fits all settings perfectly. Another suggestion would be Chanel Allure Home Sport Eau Extreme which is, in my opinion, the designer version of Aventus. Not that they smell similiar but they fit the same type of weather and occasions. You can't go wrong with either of these. I think every person who is into this hobby should have at least one of these two masterpieces in their collection even if they are really popular!

KiiMoO10 i agree whole heartedly about Aventus, its in my top 5 fragrances ever and im currently on my second bottle of it but for me it is a fall & winter scent only. The smoky birch, no matter what batch ive tried or owned, just jumps off my skin. I constantly feel a cloud of warm smoke surrounding me when i wear it which is nice when it's cold but when the weather is warm i want to feel fresh and clean. I just can't find what I'm looking for. I have Virgin Island Water also and its the closest ive found to what i want but its very tropical. I live in Oklahoma and it gets very hot and humid but i have this scent in my head of clean laundry blowing in the southern wind that I'm trying to find. That's the best i can describe it.

Johnny Robinson Well, if you like to smell fresh like clean laundry then I already know which fragrance you are looking for: Prada l'Homme. It fits your description right on the nose. If you haven't try it give it a shot! It is exactly what you are describing and it is another masterpiece of a fragrance. It also suits the warmer weather more. I currently wear it for the office only as I have JPG Le Male eau Fraiche for casual settings and Aventus for more special kind of occasions. I really would like to know your opinion on Prada l'Homme. I think it is exactly what you are looking for.

The sprayer sucks big time . I have classic from BR and let me tell you, its one of the best out there, wwayyyyy better than the sprayer of their "'private line'' . I have to really push hard on the sprayer of my BR Vintage Green to get some juyice. Wtf are they doing there? Especially being a private line, these athomizers should be at list good but they suck big time . They probably try to do the same think like ZARA who have also awful sprayers, and reduce the costs by puting cheap low quality materials in order to make it cheaper.

Best spring/summer banana republic sent is their Cordoban. Super fresh and great citrus smell. Sadly lasts about 2.5 hrs. Projection is about 1 hr. But smells amazing

Well Ashton, you nailed it again, this collection is pretty good, I own 4 and vintage green is the best one to try from the old ones, I do have a banana republic around the corner so I usually wait for their 40% off (witch happens very often) and buy my fragrances straight at the store for around 28 bucks each 👌
