NEW Barnes and Noble Leatherbound and Canterbury Classics Collection 

I want to get that Sherlock Holmes edition. I have an entire shelf dedicated to Sherlock on one of my bookcases because of how much I adore the stories. I mean, it might look out of place on my shelves since I only have the paperbacks from Arcturus in comparison to such a beautiful book like the B&N edition- but it is a stunning copy and I adore Sherlock. I take it that your books arrived by now. How do they look on your shelves? Did the books arrive in good condition, do they hold up? I'm always worried buying books online so I want to make sure that they are good quality before I splurge money on them. In my country, these B&N leatherbounds cost a small fortune to buy- even when you buy secondhand depending upon the book seller. Also, I'm so sad that you lost everything to a house fire. That's horrible. However, at the same time, I'm glad you made it out and that you're okay. Have you gone to see a counsellor to help you with the trauma? One of my neighbours down the road from me lost everything in a house fire. They are still in therapy to get over the trauma and fear they have- and they suffered through this for about the same time.

@@SparklesBooks Not sure if you have other editions of classics, but do you have recommendations for any paperback editions of classics? I haven't watched many of your videos so don't know if you did bookshelf tours- but I am curious to know if you have other collections of classics that you can't find in the leatherbound editions? For example, I have many classics from Oxford, Penguin, and Wordsworth... and a lot of Arcturus Publishing LTD classics. The latter of which are incredibly cheap where I live whereas the other three can be quite expensive unless you're buying secondhand. So, I'm curious to know if you have any paperback editions of classics that you've been collecting that are worth the money?

Is Arabian Nights well edited? It's certainly gorgeous, but I read someone complaining about many miss spellings and mistakes.

It really depends, I read the Dracula one in a week but some of the other books are really long 😊

In my experience, the barnes and noble editions are hardier and better equipped for reading than the Canterbury books, they tend to be easier to damage.

I've heard sometimes that you can get very shoddy copies of these books if you're buying them online. One of my friends collects these editions for her personal library and found that some book collectors aren't truthful about the condition of the book they are selling as long as they get a lot of money for it. I've seen these books being sold for upwards to $200 CAD depending on edition.

The first King Arthur is from the children’s collection so it appears to be a less intense version of the King Arthur in black from an adult collection 😊

@karen t King Arthur and the Knights is somewhat of a retelling of Le Morte D’Arthur (my second favourite Arthurian legend book, the first being The Once & Future King)

I get some from Amazon, some from eBay, some from my friend in america 😊
