Hey to clarify your statement that the bcm is a central control module is wrong. Modern cars use a 2 wire communication standard called CAN ford’s use 3 CANBuses and the bcm as well as most of the other vehicle related modules communicate on one bus. The multimedia system is on a separate one, and there’s another one for diagnostics. I have been spending a lot of time attempting to hack my 2016 Focus.
Hi, my 2018 Mustangs passenger side mirror stopped working all of a sudden, it rolled down by itself and now it wont go up, it's totally dead. Also im experiencing issues with the gear shifter sometimes being stuck in Park, especially on cold starts and when the car is warm it will shift out of park. I checked all fuses, brake switch etc. and theres nothing wrong with them. Do you think this could be related to the BCM?
I doubt it. I think you should start by getting an OBD tester, then read out all codes and go from there. The two problems are not related even though they do link to some of the same modules.
Hi, I'm afraid not - My PCM is locked currently, and as far as I remember that includes the PDC also. Currently considering getting started with HP Tuners to build my own tune as everything is going to shit right now with Cobb :)
I have Mondeo mk5 2015 and I need changing BCM. I understand as built etc, but how does it store keys and all other stuff related to immo there? Couldn't see you doing this
Hi I want to attempt to do this for my 17’ rs. The car was front end damage and the bcm got dented up. Still works but lots of random codes and lights. Did you have to program any keys or only everything shown in video??
Need help I’m on v2.4.11 2011 fiesta original pcm having issues with a p0420 code and battery light on assuming it’s pcm issue got a second hand pcm from the junk yard trying to re program it no luck on forscan I can’t see any options for reprogramming
I wish I could help you - unfortunately I haven’t explored this lately and currently I don’t have a car to test with. I’d recommend you reach out to forscan and/or Google it.
The answer is yes. But in order for the system to be recognize the essay way. You save the file of the original module in (as build format). that's considering that you can still communicate to the old module. (Take a screenshot of the info). Replace with the new module or (USED) to the car. You will now get multi communication error between module that's OK... then you go back in PCM and flash it (Load all) with the save file. (Take a screenshot of the info) That will input all the information from the original PCM to the new one. After it done you go back and clear code. Everything Should be back to normal. In some instance like a 2013 F150 i was working on it did not but nothing serious there was two lines that i needed to manually write the line numbers using my Screenshot. I compare the original to the flash one to find the one that didn't reflect the original values. Once i did that i clear DTC again and all was None in code.
@@Gabriel-x2y Maybe you can help me I have two pcms one orginal second programmed and in my car right now. I want to swap back to ma 1 st PCM but I know it will be problem with PATS. Is it eanugh that I will do a module initialization PATS and it will work again, cuz it has all my data of my car already. Problem is that I have focus 2016 keyless system with one key only one is lost but in the system 2 keys are programmed. Need some advice.
