The thing is, with this timestop idea, if it is LOCKED to 4 seconds, victims would just count until it ends, press F, and parry all of your projectiles, it's literally a QTE to victims
that can easily be prevented by adding the same system yba has by making the movements of the projectiles and users clientsided so only the person stopping time can see them until time is resumed
@@RISKIEZ well.. once again count to 4 seconds and press F. Yes you can't see them but its only a range mantra and if its like a fast range mantra (which many of them are fast) you will be safe by instantly press F
the victim wouldn't know how far away the projectiles are and when to parry after time stop (if they risk parrying right after the time stop then they would be left open if there guess was wrong) not to mention block breaking projectiles so they can't just block
easy fix for deepwoken? make bells and mantras way more impactful and costly to use. make them feel like special moves or abilities, instead of just pressing every number on your keyboard to win
Bell suggestion: you summon a crow or some other bird on your arm depending on your variant, and you type out a key word like the name of a player, a specific mob name, or a chest, or a guilds guildbase, and the bird will fly out and search for the nearest thing you told it to go look for, once it finds it will quickly fly back over to you and you will be given ESP of the thing you told it to go look for a set amount of time. You can also give the bird a message to carry out. Corrupt version can have more point distribution + the ability to bring back certain items like fruit or flowers, or lootbags
That's actually such a good bell idea, but I don't know if any of these bells will even get added since from what we see the devs dont pay attention to player suggestions.

the possesion one would genienuely be so cool for npcs imagine possesing a bandit or a mudskipper and confusing people with it or if its even possible to code this in, possess a SHARKO and hunt someone with it
a cool bell could be sth called forecast, how it would work is that after pressing c the next 3 inputs (the inputs as in a mantra an m1 or a critical attack) would be recorded and then pressing the key again would make your character do those 3 attacks that you have recorded at an increased speed and reduced startup and endlag, the downside of using it is that once you used the bell the 2nd time to use those 3 recorded attacks you can't attack or block and can only move around untill your character uses the 3 prerecorded attacks. So using the bell would have a huge payoff giving your mantras that would be normally hard to hit reduced startups and increased speed letting you hit nasty combos but if you mess up the punishment is also pretty big letting the enemy hit you for free without being able to defend yourself. The corrupted version could make it so using recorded mantras would not cost you any ether or letting you interrupt your own recording mid way by venting or sth similair like that.

VERY good intro and very good bell ideas, like these can still be funny, cool and/or hype all while HOPEFULLY being able to be balanced compared to the preexisting bells 10/10 would willingly get crushed by the duke forge road roller
I think timestop is kinda still op because someone could just use a bunch of broken projectiles like shadow seekers and then once it ends you just follow up with some unparriable shit like emotion wave
I like the posetion bell and the thief bell. Thief bell maybe should only steal one so you can use the C key to steal them the C key to cast the mantra again. I think they should put their energy into buffing the current bells though.Also nice intro
You gotta think of bell variants like reaper being ranged or "melee", having bigger or lesser radius and all other stuff. Deepwoken's bells work by randomly distributing points to certain stats like how big is reaper radius, how much shots you get from sharbow etc. drowned bells get more points to distribute.
probably a bad idea but possession would be cool if after you kill someone you can posses there body and get all there mantras and stats of course your actual body would be vulnerable in this time. also slap on other restrictions like the body has have to recently died within 10 secs or that there is a time limit of possession depending on your amount of ether
maybe instead of only being able to use projectile and support mantras while time stop u only get to use one mantra, m1 or crit or stop time for like 5 seconds so u can have 1 confirmed hit or u can just run
time stop could be something like shard bow, where it only works if you hit something idk its a cool concept, but free damage is something you dont want in a parry based game lol
Time stop could just work as a short 5 second pause in an area where the effect ends as soon as the player does any offensive action or use any mantra.
Water Fountain - Maybe just replace it with a Cloud above the players head that drops different water types. It would either follow the player or Corrupt would. The normal variant would just have it in one place to heal anyone within it. Maybe like Run it back variants, this one has the option of Health, Hunger, Thirst or a random Buff of Strength/Magic/Speed.
only issue with timestop is they just gonna place down a campfire and just use those said 4 seconds just to heal or just run with someone and probably just secure a grip
If you wanna balance time stop just have it as a few seconds till it actually uses so people have a chance to escape the aoe or they are stopped until they are hit once or 5 seconds pass whichever happens first
Corrupted wellspring should restore your food and water, and also regenerate your armor, but generally something that broken should be destructible, both non-corrupted and corrupted.
Nah with the timestop you should just be able to parry the timestop. The timestop should be to parry time stop and it’ll get canceled. Or give it a maximum range and a big windup
wellspring sounds cool, kinda like gravity field but for healing, sounds kinda op for chime but cool nonetheless, i agree with it / flying dutchman for overworld and depths travel, yes, for anything else, no, maybe have it levitate off the ground a few meters so that its not that awkward to use, cool idea / steal would instead just be "copy", kinda like yuta from jjk, be able to copy a few moves but not steal them, have them have the same mantra modifiers and lvl as the guy you'd copy them from, good idea / possession just outright sounds like a mess to balance, it would either be op or useless and very gimmicky, sounds cool but i dont know how could that work realistically speaking / timestop would have to be the same as gravity bell, have a range to it and you would only be able to use it as a escape tool, if u could do any mantra / attacks while timestop is active, it would be just a balancing nightmare, obviously a cool idea but realistically speaking, gl balancing that while keeping the cool part in
ngl once i thought about bell that will roll all your stats(so long ago, maybe half year of verse 1, hakari didnt even existed), for example if it will roll a lot of negative blood, food and water, it will roll decent amount of health and damage buff, and corrupt bell just raise the cap for rolling stats, the whole concept its cant buff you without risking/without draining or reducing something in you. So its kinda can and vica versa reduce your damage and drain a little of hp to instantly recover food and water with blood, or just dont touch for example water and food bar, and drain blood with healt in exchange for damage buff
I would definitely use possesion on every single build. Imagine just hiding somwhere and possesing people that walk by and making them fight their friends. Thats the bell i want the most.
instead of a driving boat it can be a floating boat with wings that hovers a lil off the floor like 2 players height like in that one piece hover boat thing in the skyland
how about a bell called Stasis, it allows you to store the last enemy you killed in a bubble and release it after you use the bell it would spawn them with like 25% or 50% hp
I think timestop should let you do anything in it but all the hits are only applied once time is back in motion so as long as the player parries its fine But you can also time stop wait 3 seconds, and then in the last second charge up some mantra that takes time to perform so the person will Parry as soon as it unfreezes but youll sit there with a fully charged whatever about to hit them with their parry disabled
flying duchman idea can be better by just making that you can fly on your boat to a certain elevation and everytime you press c you fire all the cannons on your ship towards your mouse (obviously with these upgrades this will have to be a legendary but it makes it useful so i don't care) beyond this suggestion is more add-ons about how these bells could work and unnecessary yap possession honestly sucks cause it's situation as hell so it can be reworked like this - if you knock someone their body automatically gets up and starts fighting (they can still be reaper'd or burned to death whatever from anyone except you) - if you have the most damage on a mob (or i guess knock out a humanoid NPC) you can make an npc fight for you also they obviously follow you around, there should probably be an npc cap but i feel like that should just vary based on the type of npc u get (ex: you could probably get 10 mudskippers but if you were to possess a kaido then that'd be the only thnig you can get) the corrupt bell made an extra bell with the idea of scraping possession bell but then i just thought of something for it so i just made possession bell regardless and so its just kinda here multiplication bell (😱this might be faceless uber😱) -when you use your bell nothing will happen until you use a skill, the skill in question will activate and you'll spawn a shadow of yourself will spawn at your curser and that shadow will do the exact same skill, this shadow will last as long as the skill lasts for (ex: use fortitude it'll stay for as long as the effects last but obviously do nothing won't m1 or allat) the shadow copies your modifiers and what not and automatically aim at the nearest opponent corrupt bell upgrade: makes the shadow use ur weapon crit or just m1 before or after the skill i dunno make it rng the variants for this will be: an delayed mantra usage, the shadow runs up to the opponent then uses the skill if used from a distance, the shadow can mantra feint (this sounds stupid.) i gotta mention that if you have the variant that makes the shadow run up to the opponent and a corrupt bell then the shadow will use a running crit if the weapon it copies has one and it crits twice if it has the delayed mantra variant idk wtf it can do with the mantra feint variant other than use another skill that's closet to the skill you used in your hotbar. timestop sounds like a common lol can't think of anything for it
The Flying Dutchman idea - I think just keeping it to the sea is the best it can do. But instead, it would be an Bell ship that'd be the Fastest, almost like a Speed Boat. Zoom after someone. Because on land, we may as well have the Phoenix Wings to fly about. Or they make Ice Skate more effective to skate in the direction our Mouse goes. Instead of forwards straight.
let me cook up an idea for a legendary bell yall know the white balls that spawn during the layer 2 escape? yeah what if you had that but as a bell, obviously not a one shot because come on but you get to roleplay as a voidreaver from risk of rain 2, corrupted variant would slightly suck people in
For timestop bell it could get some references of roblox hours tempos, and increase the damage for like 1.5x or 2x when you cast a mantra, but after its casted/ended animation time goes back to normal automatically _(and i dont even play/can play deepwoken)_
You said that you dont play deep as if it was a good idea, one free landed hit which is already unfair youre telling me its supposed to have a damage multiplier? 2x is above the damage multiplier cap btw. Keep your suggestions to hours please
flying dutchamn allows you to create a flying boat that can go a certain distance off the ground (so it allows you to go up slopes) possesion allows you to posses a recently died enemy/player including mobs and npcs
Time stop could be like Axl Low's one vision in Guilty Gear, where you have to use it twice to actually activate the timestop. On first activation, you just do an animation. This warns the opponent that you might attempt to stop time. On the second activation, you actually stop time, but the effect is blockable.
for steal, i think the corrupted version would be cool if it entirely voids those 2 items, for like 2 minutes so no one can use them, and after the 2 minutes the steal player keeps it until the other player hits them to take it back
How about Tenebris from Rouge as time stop? You just punch them so hard that they get stunned for like 5 seconds and a field apears that freezes attacks in time
Bell ideas: Soulmate - Makes you take all the damage your target takes and vice versa. Build effects the damage you take from them being hurt but they just take raw damage. Effects like wither are placed on your target but not vice versa. Guild members that are targets take the same damage as you & get the same heals. Corrupted = 15% less damage on you but you (only you) take a bit of damage when you use the bell. Normal targets do not get healed when you are healed. Star Man - Makes you jump up insanely high and do a lot of damage when you come down. meh range. Does more damage if you’re already high up. Hard to hit. You do a little glint like a star in the sky to indicate you’re coming down. Ascension - Makes a staircase. That’s it. Lasts like a minute. You can technically trap your friends in rooms with it. Joke bell made to mess around. Could be used for transportation. The staircase is pretty long I guess. Adaptation - Go into a mode and the first mantra you get hit by while in it you adapt to. Adaptation takes a bit of time and is visualised by a bar next to you (that your opponent can’t see) The more you get hit by that same mantra the faster you adapt. Corrupted = adapt much faster but take higher damage from the mantra youre adapting to. When you adapt to something there’s a quiet melody that plays. Adaptation lasts for 5 minutes. You can adapt to a maximum of 3 mantras. Weak to silentheart (obviously).
Maybe for the possession one it could be like Ardour Scream but applies a status effect that transforms you when knocked into a diver husk/carbuncle like NPC that scales in how dangerous it is based on the victim's power level.
Dawg if we get Shang Tsung soul steal as a bell I’d be hyped. Imagine being in a gank, and all of a sudden your opponent points at you and becomes your character entirely. Weapon, mantras, talents, only thing it maybe doesn’t affect is hp. That would be sick
flying dutchman would be a good idea but instead of land the boat should be in the sky high enough just to be able to float over luminant basically like a boat u can use to travel except its not in the water its in the air
Bell idea: Echo Assault Pressing C would record your next 6-7 inputs, and then pressing c again would summon a clone of yourself that locks onto a target and repeats these attacks while you can also attack freely. It does as much damage as the original moves did and allows you to essentially gank your opponent for a bit Another idea I have is a bell that allows you to store up to 3 different weapons that you can switch to in the middle of battle. These can be enchanted, legendary, etc. so it allows you to have essentially 4 different weapons to choose from in a fight
something i've talked about alot is a timeskip bell. what it could do if reduce all cool downs / durations in a radius. It'd give a whole new depth to battles as you could end up giving your enemies their bells or mantras back if you time it wrong. But the 2nd thing it could do is instantly dispel stuff like vision shaper realm. IMO it'd be sick to see and just be an actual big thing to bring to a fight
Hi SkipperGripper, combined with flashy vfx that would actually be sick, but the problem I see is that it would be very hard to actually find a good opportunity to use this when fighting someone with chronostasis, also if you are suggesting that it should skip so far ahead to the point where you can instantly end an illusory realm then at that point it would just be a button that resets everyones cooldowns which is kinda lame and kinda op, then again this could be fixed by adding different varients with varying downsides
Timestop - The best way they'll do with that is.. probably just the Voidwalker ability. Slowing everyone down whilst you're moving faster. That's the only somewhat fair way to do it.
oh nah, no way you suggested the sakuya bullet hell timestop dont think it would work since autopary frames exist. and also the knives of eylis mercs already have a pretty balanced timestop ability
i havent played deepwoken since 2022, im genuinely surprised to see everyone run around with enchants and bells even tho they hot ass at the game, i think ever since they added that goofy almighty push G move which i dont know when they did but i think it made everyone trash cause its so easy to win fights as long as the opponent doesnt have an aba one combo up down up down all your hp gone in 2 mantras
I love the flying dutchman idea, or any kind of rideable mount for a bell would be awesome. I think summoning a rideable thresher would be cool. It wouldnt be able to attack, it would just move faster than normal running speed, and you would be able to ride with another friend. The corrupted version would be big enough to carry 4 people instead of 2 and be able to be used in combat.
The stealing ability is cool too. I think instead of mantras stealing the opponent's bell would also be sick. The downside would be that it would only work on opponents with bells so it wouldnt be that strong
