Picked this knife up and I can say this video doesn't do justice compared to seeing it in person. This is by far the best folder I have came across in many years. For the price you aren't going to find anything else with the same level of quality.
The original Freek probably is my favorite carry knife. I love the handles as they inspire so much confidence. I really like the looks of the Super Freek and the red color! It's stick!
Thanks Zach! For getting this one on video for us, asap. Though I did see the Benchmade video upload of it, about 3 days ago. A true, Super Freek! I threw this video up, onto my 54" UHD TV. Wow! That red is a perfect choice for me too. If it had been blue, I would have had to go to the pharmacy right away, to get some anti-depressant pills! : - )
nice job. i just got mine 2 days ago and LOVE it! great ergos, great styling and the awesome CPM-M4 blade steel! whats not to love? Mine came slick as butter, is perfectly centered and the blade even gets fairly thin behind the edge, unlike other reviewers have found. Mine doesnt have the greatest factory edge but once i sharpen it, this thing will likely rival my Spyderco Gayle Bradley in slicing prowess. I wish i could have gotten the natural/jade G-10 and gray ceracoated blade model but this one will do just fine!
Ahhhhhgh! I want that smkw 940...it's so beautiful, I just couldn't bring myself to part with 3 bills to get it! Just ordered this new freek and can't wait to get my hands on it. Great vid- thanks!!
For the price of these knives, Benchmade needs to start putting both the "standard clip" and "deep carry pocket clip" in the box. Deep-carry pocket clip is the preferred one to have.
Love they went with g10 FRN is fine for a cheaper knife but my favorites are g10 titanium carbon fiber and micarta definitely a beauty I love m4 tough holds a sick edge though it does Rust though I’ve never had that problem because it’s not my boating/fishing knife different knives for different uses is my philosophy really like this and with the coating rust is almost a non issue plus I love those red standoffs very cool thanx for showing it I believe your the 1st one I’ve seen showing this upgraded freek but I’m sure more will follow great job beating them to the punch on a great blade.
Barry you will definitely like this knife and the color combos are perfect! The red base layer really makes the barrel spacers pop out and not make the gray/black over load the senses! Happy to get it out to show everyone and will be doing a comparison video tomorrow.
Checked it on DLT $220 sold out definitely a fan of m4 my winter knife this year is a spyderco in m4 but definitely interested when I have the cash and it’s not sold out
The split arrow is stronger than the deep carry...trust me I would love a redesign of the split. I have actually enjoyed carrying it with the split...just don’t want to say that too loud!

Glad to share! Nothing officially stated, but with this awesome upgrade I can’t see how the mini wouldn’t be coming soon in 2019! Have those mini g10 from Rogue Bladeworks and they are a big win!
I want this knife but see some people complaining about receiving it not centred and also little up down play on the blade, I would totally be pissed of if I got it with those flaws, even on a 50 euro knife let alone 220 euro.
Unfortunately mine also came off centered and the blade had some play when open. I have tried to re-center it many times. If I tighten the blade enough to remove the play, then blade won’t open smoothly. I just put my blade away and haven’t used it since I purchased it 3 years ago but I might just send it into Benchmade for adjustment.

Howdy PNGAILANBOI! This knife has been a solid staple in my EDC over the last 4 years! I have had no troubles with any part of this knife. The best feature is probably the solid build and large size. Thanks for checking it out!
Great question! I am a 940 fan and would probably choose that. But long term and quality of the knife, I may have to go with the Super Freek! It’s bigger, stronger, will take more abuse and has a much larger blade.
