Hey Daniel, hope all is well! Yeah the helmet does a bit, hadn't noticed! TW brand, KPlus, quite nice kit. Since I 'went gold', been seeing a few other goldie-looking bikes about Taipei, think it's catching on ;-)
@@crankpunkrides5434 imitation is the best for for flattery as they say! PS can't believe you still have to wear a mask while exercising outside. Thankfully the HK gov put a stop to that request after one week.
Ha that's cool, thanks for the comment! When I was racing and the teams provided me with bikes, carbon was ok, but aluminum just last longer and the ride quality on the good alu bikes is great, as good as carbon IMO.
Awesome set up! Thanks for sharing some additional footage of your ride. I am moving to Taipei in the summer of '23, so I like all of the riding spots. Would you recommend buying cycling supplies/components/clothing in Taiwan vs the west (US)?
Thank you, much appreciated! I'd recommend buying here, there are some great local brands for clothing (see my KPLUS and Frontier Sportswear videos), and a variety of bike shops that cover everything from starter bikes to the crazy end of things, if you have the $$$. You might not necessarily save cash on bikes and components but you'll save the hassle of shipping your bike from wherever you are. From time to time you do come across some good deals too. Sure you'll love riding here too ;-)
@@crankpunkrides5434 thanks, really appreciate the advice. I have been visiting Taiwan every summer with my wife and enjoy riding there, but it’s with a basic bike. Looking forward to building a really nice bike or bringing mine over.
