First of all nice truck nice setup like if you went with the quad pipes my OCD have me going crazy when the guy put the pipe tip on the ground to push the pipe on to it don't worry about that nice black coat and it's not yours..LOL
Awesome video. Glad i stumbled on it. I have the exact same truck color and everything. I haven't done my exhaust yet, simply do to the fact it's got 2k miles left of GM warranty so left it stock until then. Once the GM warranty is up though it's game on. I don't mind the look of the HDMI port tips, i mean wouldn't be on my top 5 choices list but they aren't horrible. I thought about pulling them off and powder coating them black, but at that point i would be better off just getting better looking tips. Your truck sounds good not INSANELY loud which is what i am going to go for as well. I ran dual cherry bombs on my 07 and that thing was loud, but i often have to go into work at crazy early times for emergencies (work in public safety) and always felt bad cold starting it at 3am.. my poor neighbors. Whatever i do go with for an exhaust system i know it's going to have to hold up to Wisconsin winters and salt, my last exhaust on my 07 rusted off after 3 years of it being installed which was done by a muffler and exhaust shop. Do you have a pulsar LT on your truck? It was hard to tell from the video if i could hear the tone change because of DMF/AFM. My Trail Boss even with the stock exhaust had a tone change once i installed the pulsar LT, which makes sense and made the truck feel so much better to drive.
Hello fellow Wisconsinite. Yes winters up here can be brutal. Go stainless on exhaust where you can. I do have the Pulsar LT. did loose a little fuel economy, but so worth it.
I may come back and have a shop reweld them, or put some different ones on if I find some that I like. I've lifted the truck a bit since this video so it doesn't look as bad now.
Hey bud got lucky with my truck have a 2021 6.2 trailboss with the borola cat back system came that way with the tips in carbon fiber. Did a sweet tow flap from rock star to protect my Lund pro Guide boat been watching your channel did a air intake an Pulsar Lt last week too thanks for the great info videos an am thinking about soo. Doing Kooks headers if my wife says it's all good 👍 but skeptical cause we just got married an maybe have to wait you have the cool tailgate wish I had I'm on a knee pad an grabber bar for my knees on the bed liner don't know how to Facebook ya but ether way sweet ass truck your building up man still ha e your Lund?? Hopefully you get it out for the Holiday weekend coming up!
Thanks for the kind words. I do appreciate it. I do plan to get out on the Lund once or twice this weekend. Should be a good time as we watch the fireworks form the boat. I also have a few weeks booked fishing up in Canada later this year. Swapping headers should be a nice mod if you decide on going for it. Let me know how it goes. Had you taken the step insert off first it would have been a lot easier to reach the bolts. I took my bezels off and painted the black with high temp spray paint. It cost less than $10.
The truck already had a dual exhaust from factory that goes down to one muffler and splits to a dual outlet. Simply modified it to what you see here. GM did do a good job should you want to go true duals.
There’s lots of tips out there. The link I provided is the specific product that I used. If you are doing the same install then search for something with 4” outlets.
@@HewHolden the ride with the fox 2.0 is a little stiffer. Nothing crazy. It may just be because I replaced shocks that were 3 years old with new ones. I still tow just fine, my max tow weight it 4k lbs. maybe slightly less squat.
