To say we're obsessed is an understatement 😍 we love this video and your thoughtful reviews!! 1) Matching your reads to your fav colours should definitely be a thing 💡 2) Totally fair points about Loni not being cut out to be a detective 🤣 (choking with laughter) 3) Impossible to read The Marsh Queen and NOT learn new bird types 🤣 4) The jumping dual timelines is def polarizing and the ambiguous ending will frustrate some and gratify others ❤ 5) Ithaca is so funny!! This is not mentioned enough in reviews hahaha 6) "Nothing fun happened in 1876" should be embroidered on a pillow LOL 7) We're so thrilled you enjoyed The House in the Orchard & Ithaca!!

@@theroomiesdigest I had some opposite opinions from you on the comedy aspects. 😂 Every time Hera would say something modern and quip-y it really took me out of the story. It also felt a little slow in the pacing, but it is set up as a series so that could be it.

Thank you both roomies, really enjoyed the video. I believe that Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton was also based on that historical Batavia ship wreck.‘I really enjoyed it but it’s a straight up murder mystery rather than a fantasy book so might not be your jam either. I’ve just ordered Ithaca from my local bookshop and I can’t wait to read it, hoping it’s like The Penelopiad. The video made me doubly excited for it xx
