7:05 Reading this many books would take me wayyy longer than one month and I'm kinda sad about that thb. I have been trying to improve my reading speed for a long time now and still I'm at the lower end of the slow reading spectrum lol I know it's not a competition, I just really wanna be able to read more! Everyone flood me with your secrets pleaseee
i’m not a super fast reader either but i do have a few tips!: -buddy reads! it can be an irl friend or an online friend! but i’ve found that when i read a book with my friend i usually try to race and end up reading a lot more often and faster than usual! -the next one is just to read a lot. like everything, the more you read, the more you’ll improve. it takes a while to get fast but last year it’d take me about 3 weeks or so to read a 300 page book and now i can read a 500 pager in about a week! and remember: being slow at reading can be a good thing as you’ll have longer to enjoy the story and you don’t have to read fast to be a reader hope this helps :)
I’m a slow reader too and I hardly get time to read because of school and classes but I try to find time in between. I also read at night after finishing everything so there’s no burden and I can read free mindedly.
Try audiobooks! I don't always have time to sit down and read, but there are many times I can listen to audiobooks - while showering, cooking, eating, doing chores, drawing, driving, walking my dog, etc. :)
hi! omg, i totally get how you're feeling, what I did to improve my speed was to un-sync my reading speed and the voice in my head. Usually, the voice in your heading reading the words out loud slows down the speed of your brain absorbing the words. To speed it up just initially run your finger along with the words at the speed your brain is taking it in.. it is super fast and hard to understand at first but keep doing it for a few days and you're good. Also set page goals like 'I'm not gonna move from this space until I am done with 50 pages' and gradually you can increase that which reallllyy helps your reading speed!
I would’ve given you but I have now deleted wattpad and decided to read actual books. Not gonna lie, I was addicted to wattpad and it ruined my whole schedule 😭
