It sounds really good ! I love fuzz so I love the tones I've heard in this video... It can comfort people for whom it was impossible to buy the Boss Tone Bender. And it can also convince people who are not addicted to fuzz sounds. Thanks for this demo !
@@jerryyeaaah15 Oh yes : this pedal is interesting ! It surprised me to see this new Waza Craft edition : I thought that Boss would rather do the Hyper Fuzz Waza Craft ! Maybe later...
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to you for providing this exceptinal video with the first instance I could find that showcases how this fuzz pedal interacts with a Crybaby. Once again, thank you for your outstanding contribution and dedication in providing this insightful content that can help many of us to make an informed decision 3:05
Great demo, love your playing, great sounding pedal. I have my fuzz circuits decently covered, but I have to admit ...there doesn’t seem to be a bad sound in it and I kinda want one! Does it really clean up like a Fuzz Face, at least on the Vintage mode?
@@BobbyGeneric145 I’m not to gone on fuzz, I have an original FZ-3 and an FZ-2, but I don’t use them and they’re worth a fair bit of money now. Fuzz is too specific a sound for me. I’m tempted to get the MXR Variac Fuzz to complete the Bad Ass series!
It's a unique circuit overall, but I call it more of a Fuzz Face on steroids that can do tone bender and even big muff sounds. Very versatile and stable fuzz that doesn't care much about temperature or buffers, and it cleans up incredibly well with the volume knob! I've owned many fuzz pedals and this one is easily one of my favorite fuzz pedals out there.
personally I think it is pointlesa to compare them since they are two different thing but yes I do think FZ1W has a more powerful output stage (but again tb2w is a Mkii Tone Bender so they are what they are but a little louder than a conventional mkii but still not LOUD
Hello, great sound ! Please could you tell me at which volume you played your Supro 1606 for this demo ? (to know if your sound was clean or driven before engaging the FZ-1w). And what pickups are fitted in your Les Paul ? A great thank for your feedback !
I put the volume knob just under 12:00 not really breaking up but just a little bit of hair. Also I put throbak sle-101 pickups with A2 magnets in my 2019 Custom Shop R7 gold top! Cheers!
Did you have your Wah pedal before or after the Fuzz? I have the same Cry Baby, and haven’t been able to pair it well with any of my other Fuzz pedals. Your demo sounded great!
@@jerryyeaaah15 I love boutique fuzz pedals, but BOSS pedals are always high-quality and reliable. I’ll definitely be adding this one. Thanks for the great demo! Subscribed!
@@seangarland thanks man! I own a dozen vintage and modern replica fuzz pedals sola sound Dam you name it …but this pedal not only is a good boss pedal but also just a good fuzz pedal in general, crazy good design and tonal range/quality
Bring back the FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz!! Or create a new octave fuzz to rival it! This new FZ-1W made up for the tone bender thing.. finally a new fuzz from boss! It’s incredible! Thanks!! Anyone selling a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz or a Boss FZ-3 Fuzz let me know! Grab these before you can’t. They come and go faster than you realize. This is their 3rd original circuit design analog fuzz in the existence of boss if you don’t count the digital FZ-5 Fuzz or the recent TB-2W Tone Bender. Good demo! Thanks!
@@43pedals yeah😄I'm very much rely on humbuckers and when I did the demo it‘s either the les paul or a tripple PAF es5 switchmaster, I say the Les Paul is okay 😂
and you re right this thing is one beast of a pedal ..huge surprise, if the TB2w was a expected masterpiece, this is a unexpected but shocking masterpiece (really tho I didn’t see it coming
