That's a super awesome rod you've got there. I've always wanted to own one of these, spinning or casting but to no avail. They are so rare. You're so lucky, my man! 😮
I got the Ultima 7'0 ML a week after iCast... been smashing them on a dropshot ever since. I put a 2500 Stella on it with 11lb Defier braid for now, but might go back to 23 Vanquish 2500 You have to retrain your brain, but make sure to keep your finger off the blank. Let the resonator chamber do it's job... the bites feel weird on this rod, but you don't miss them at all.
Does the resonator really work. I picked up the exact same combo as the one in the video and have yet to test it out. I noticed that when I first grabbed it I would choke up on the rod when holding it. Just curious if the resonating chamber in the but of the rod really works…
Great, now I have two halves of a sleeve i can lose! Now not only will i be mad at myself for losing it but I'll be constantly reminded by the other half i didn't lose. That said, psyched to get my hands on one.
Super nice Shimano rod. I will definitely use the Shimano Exsence A wheel on that rod. It has a very light rotor and no mag seal bearing which gives resistance....I myself recently ordered "Daiwa 23 Steez Real Control RC S68MH-SV" which weighs only 84 Grams ( 2.96 OZ )
Great BOUGIE gear! You have great taste in fishing gear. Loved the Exist on the Poison rod! If it looks great and works great I don't care if brands are mixed.. I'll have to pick up that 7' med Poison Ultima by the end of the year.
I think FishTheMoment did a video a while back on those Core jigheads. If I remember, he was sort of fishing it like a big hair jig and letting it sink, reeling fast, sink, reel fast, etc.
Great video! Some really nice stuff! I enjoyed watching this and I love that rod! Thanks so much for continuing to share great content. Keep up the good work my friend!
I watched Matt's video on the core swim bait hooks and decided to give them a try. Love Matt but the hooks not so much. I am hooked on the Shimano rods after many years of using ST. Croix. I love the St. Croix rods but am liking the Exprides and Poison Adrena's more. Not sure if I can justify the added price of the Ultima's. You will have to let us know what your thoughts are once you get some time on the water with it.
Bro, I literally thought you were playing a joke and unsleeving a $99 Daiwa Tatula Xt at first! You're also welcome for not being able to unsee this now🤣
Great vids. Could you put a video together or just comment on comparing best jig/bottom contact rods Med or med heavy spinning and casting at each price point $99, $199, $299, $399. Seems a jig and worm rod is where money needs to be spent to get a sensitive rod. Thanks for the great content.
Any updates on the Shimano rod? I’m thinking about getting the 6’10 Medium, for: jerkbaits, top water, and soft plastics. I would love to see what you thought of it.
I used it a lot this fall but I still need more time with it in the spring to give it a full review. I really can't suggest spending this kinda $$ on one of these. It's not THAT good.
Hello! Please tell me, do you see a big difference between new Shimano Expride 22 and Shimano Poison Adrena rods? Is it possible to say that Shimano Poison Adrena will be much better because of more technologies in it? Or maybe they have the same blanks and main difference in the design? It's hard to choose one of them. I want to buy 1610M - both series have this model. Does it make sense to overpay for Adrena?
what makes you want to grab the m instead of the ml?? I'm leaning towards the ml but i dont know if i want to throw almost $900 for a rod that doesnt have lifetime warranty. that's my reason why i havent pull the trigger yet

@@RiverAngler-w8l Honestly I like the Adrena a lot more the handle where you hold is monocoque vs the Expride A where it is cork but if it's the expride B then I don't really know for sure about the handle but it looks like it's still a cork handle. There is a difference in sensitivity though I've felt fish bump on a slack mono line and even the scales of a carp scraping the line for the Adrena. They are both only a hundred dollars apart so you save or lose just about that much.
@@PunchFishing Wow, I thought at least their top of the line stuff would be MIJ. I really dislike these brands charging Japanese prices for Chinese products.
They call them X-Guides not torztie guides don’t cry $900 😂😂😂 that rod should cost $550 not $900 some body got it from the rear if you know what I mean 😅😅😅
$900 dollar rod with $30 guide set go Shimano 😭😭😭 thats sad them guides are not torztie I would rather have the windbuster rod over this rod look at them guides they are not torztie guides don’t cry
