haha accidentally broke a window. cool you let him know though. your commentary and jokes and overall personality is great and i appreciate the laughs. you deserve more subs and hope to see it happen, Ill be coming back to this channel a lot. Thank you!
The moment between the father and son regarding "toys" deserves recognition beyond what I can provide. PLEASE someone find a way to cement that moment into history. "One day you will understand".....
While I don't frequently express myself through writing, I feel compelled to acknowledge the considerable effort you've invested in creating this video. Your dedication is truly valued, and I want to convey my sincere appreciation for your hard work.
Thanks for tearing it down, so we don't have to, or if we need to. I REALLY like that you can use the 7K to charge your battery bank, and recycle the electricity to recharge the 7K; will be super useful for your off-grid home or to charge your flying saucer.
I appreciate you doing all the things i wanted to do to this flash light so i didnt have to. Bought this a few days ago on a trip to harbor frieght with my father. I am a bit disappointed in the quality on the inside giving i spent 70 bucks on it. But, if i can get 3 years or more out of it ill be okay. Great video man.
@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 don't feel bad. i was telling you in my head to turn them around, but i've done the same thing too many times to count and definitely will again some day.
@@solaceofflame I remember it by thinking I want to move with the movable jaw forward. The moving jaw should be in front of the spin. If that makes any sense. Move in the direction of the movable jaw? Movable jaw move? Something like that. Plus if the pliers are on backwards they want to open up as you turn them.
Great in depth review. HF keeps me want one, but I’ve been very standoff-ish because the price really does seem ridiculous for a HF flashlight. However, they have the old quantum 6000 lumen one on sale for $26 right now, so I think I’ll just pick one of those up. Thanks for the insight. 👍
I like flashlights but I'm not into the death rays they have now. I'm more the mood lighting type myself. My ancestors lived in dark caves. So bright light and me don't see eye to eye.
Love the review and the comments. No BS waisting time on Talkin about the look or the "aircraft grade" outer body. Everyone who has owned enough flashlights knows it's usually the internals that go to crap as long as it's not plastic housing from the 90s. The water test was great and a real world test......not just pouring water on it or putting it in the bathtub for a few minutes. Be a cheap bugger I look forward to future reviews of cheap Chinese (hopefully not crap) flashlights sold at HF.
I dont know much about flashflights, but i would like to get the best bang for your buck flashlight around the same price range. Do you have any specific model flashlights you would recommend? I do realzied you mentioned some brands, but was wondering if you recommend a specific model over this one?
@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 what did you study at the devry You seem to have many different skills and a lot of different skill sets along with working a fairly complex job. Definitely want I want to do you seem to have some spare time for projects, on top of a family.
@ehdrien5031 Biomedical engineering technology, BMET. But 95% of what I know came from either years of having to fix the things I broke, or on the job learning. A degree is just what gets you in the door. Curiosity is what makes you useful!
I just got one, but I had 2 $25 coupons and $7.63 left on a gift card, plus double cash back on the HF card and 10% off everything in the store. So, it was worth what I paid. I wanted one, but was always hesitant at the $70 price tag.
I went through several phases in my journey. It started at Lowes and HD with Coast brand lights. A few were actually good, many left me wanting more. The coast tp9r is probably the best they make. Then I went to some off brand Medard's lights, not happy. One is exactly like this light. Next came Harbor Freight lights, still not happy. In the end I tried a few Fenix lights and was sold. For what I had spent on all the "other lights" I could have just had a few ultra nice pro lights. I love the Fenix lt80r, the ht18 and lr35r. Save up and enjoy the finer things. I sold and gave away all the other lights besides the Coast tp9r and the Fenix lights. That built to the bottom dollar light for $70 or a quality Fenix lr35r for $170...? Easy for me! Also, I just like Fenix. There are several brands just like them that are same quality and price. Do some research and try out a nice light.
Dude half way thru the video you had me look up the flashlight find a couple for 29 percent off at my local harbor freight, went and picked up two of them after waiting on hold for 20 min 😂 they finally held those for me and I drove down there. Paid $110 and some change out the door so they came out to 49.99 plus tax. (California has like a ten percent tax) and now I’m home with two of theses finishing the video 🤠🫡
Hey Genius , Reverse the grip on those channel locks to make them bite. That wrench is directional. Nice vid btw :)' I see at the last you did, lol. hot stuff huh!!!
I thought that battery was too long to be a 26650, then I read the 7,2v then i thought it's gotta have two batteries then i rewinded the video to 5:30 & realised my suspicion was correct with the battery saying 2S1P which in layman's terms is 2 in series 1 pair in parallel
"if you don't like the weather, go back to where you came from" i was born in 86, and remember the blizzards and ice storms of the mid 90s quite well (grew up in levittown in bucks county). i've been in alaska for a dozen years, and i'm still surprised at how many people complain about weather that's common here. not exceptional stuff, just what anchorage usually gets (which is quite mild, i think the blizzard of 96 back east was 2 or 3 feet of snow in a day, that's about what i've experienced here. i don't think the lowest temp i've seen in anchorage is much lower than pa, i remember -10 there once and maybe it's been -15 here). when people back east (or anywhere) ask why i live in anchorage, i tell them because it's warm. and none of that bullshit humidity. i guess if i think about it, alaska is freaking fantastic, so some people live here in spite of the weather. eeeeeeeh
It's been so dry here this year. Which is weird. It's usually very rainy. The rain has all been either going north or south of us. I think I only cut my lawn like 3 times? Then it's not long all over just some patches get unkempt. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. But I have had to water a lot. I have a garden.
you know how much Amps every mode drains, so it's pretty easy to calculate, as LED efficiency is around 100 lumen/watt. just do Amps*Volts*100 (lumen), and you'll get the output. (it's about 100/1500/4500 on low/mid/max). no 7K for sure.
Listen I know this was 9 months ago but watching you using those channel locks backward made me yell at the screen. This woke up my cat so I had to give him treats. Then when you finally used them the correct direction (but still not adjusted to get the handles close together) I yelled "HAH! SEE?!" which woke up my panther and now I'm missing a hand so I figure you owe me about two and a half hot dogs.
